I was so disappointed the movie left out the brains
Nolan shrugged. "My brothers are all right. It's a normal thing, I think. I mean, we fight and pick on each other all the time. But my brothers are actually really nice to me overall. Sometimes too nice." He made a face as he recalled Tidus and Judoc's over-the-top interest in his well-being from the day before.

Her comments about the paintings amused him. His experience with the muggles and magic folk in his family had shown him that moving photographs and paintings were something that were easily take for granted. "You know, my brother Nolan is a good artist. He learned how to make his work move." There was a bit of jealousy in his voice. He hadn't intended to let the conversation come to his brothers' talents. Over at the Ravenclaw table he could see Roy had been joined by his friends and shaken out of his daydreaaming. "If you want, I could get him to charm some of your stuff..." Then he grinned as put some chicken onto his plate. "Or do you really only just doodle?"

I'm interested. Just not sure if I can handle another RP at this time :/ Hmm
Not that more activity wouldn't be welcome I just mean please be patient.

A topic for discussion, I was thinking about this earlier.
What exactly makes the Weasleys poor? I mean I get the school supplies and stuff, but outside of that there's only so many things they absolutely can't do with magic, right?
Soooo......

Lol this RP's been going for six months and we're only halfway through the first day of class. You're not gonna see a huge flurry of activity. What we have here is nice relaxed slow and steady progress.

Geez, completely missed that the IC started moving again. I'll see if I can post tomorrow
Yo @Apoalo, where's Chandler at?

Also, did we ever decide what classes the first years attended that morning?
"No kidding," Nolan mumbled in response. There really was so much to get used to here. He couldn't even imagine what it must be like for the Muggle-borns. He automatically walked to the Slytherin table as he really didn't know where else to go. Halfway through his first day and he'd only made two friends, none in his house. And where was Chandler anyway?

He sat down and began scooping food onto his plate. He hadn't realized until just now how hungry he was, though he supposed it had been a long morning. "You were asking about my brothers earlier, well I have five. Two of 'em here at Hogwarts with us." He gestured as discreetly as he could at the Ravenclaw table where Roy was staring at the ceiling. Judoc meanwhile was nowhere to be found.

"So what was your favorite class so far?" he asked, trying to bring the attention back form his brothers. He didn't notice the familiar face and green scarf settle into the seat just a few seats down. "Or I guess you can't really tell yet, huh? A bunch of first day stuff, they all ran together." He stuffed a few spoonfuls of mashed potatoes in his mouth.

Did anyone else not get the notification for this?

[Collab between myself and @Loony. In which Diego and Placide climb a tree and look at the Venipedes]

Smiling and chuckling softly at the exchange between Diego and Bliss, Placide gave a wave a took off, not bothering to say 'thank you' or anything along those lines. She headed over to a crate of, well, whatever the weird electronics, or 'techno-junk' as she referred to it as, and with quite the puzzled expression, picked them up and held them close to her face, examining them as if they're A few steps forward, she stopped and began to laugh.

Idiot, bug Pokémon. Where are you going?

"Hey, wait, we're staying with you!" Placide called while running up to Diego again,"Bug Pokémon, you know? Cute little critters they are. Since we're both looking for them, might as well stick together. Besides, I have no idea what these things are," she continued, holding up the Holocaster, the only item she had yet to stuff into her bag, "Or how to make them work. Or what they're suppose to do. You're going to help me."

Bliss had just started jumping excitedly pointing at the foot of a tree when suddenly Placide was back. "Uh... yeah sure. I just figured out myself but it's not much more complicated than a Pokegear or something." Diego didn't know quite what to make of the girl's forwardness. It was odd, especially for him. Due to his height, it was rare anybody just imposed on him. Even then, she wasn't rude. Jut matter-of-fact. There was something to respect in that.

"Bugs come first though," he said with a wink. "Now my Aipom found these guys so I get first pick... whatever they are." He gestured to Bliss who was pointing at the tree with her tail.

"A Pokégear sounds pretty complicated to me. Though that's I lived on a berry farm for twenty two years, so I can't say I understand any techno-junk more complicated than a phone. Hopeless, I am. But of course, bugs come first." Placide stuffed the Holocaster into her bag along, ridding her hands of the 'techno-junk', and slung it over her shoulders, joining Diego by the tree Bliss had been pointing at.

"Venipedes. They're Venipedes. Rarely had them at the farm, but I remember it well. Aggressive little things. Just a single bite from paralyzed my parents' Talonflame, Incendie. And Incendie didn't even do anything to it yet. It just saw it and attacked." One would probably expect her voice to sound disdainful, but no. It was filled with awe, even pride, for the little critters. A goofy grin spead on her face.

"Or maybe it just freaked out after hearing my mom scream when she saw the thing. Don't understand why. I think they're pretty cute."

Dropping her bag to the floor, Placide took hold of the lowest branch and with strength quite surprising for someone as short and stocky as she was, hoisted herself up, dragging one leg over the other until she was now sitting on the branch, looking down at Diego.

"Well? You coming?" She asked, already beginning to stand up and hoist herself over another branch, this one occupied by a Venipede at the farther end, where the branch was too thin to support her weight. It was a rather runty little thing, small but on the defensive. It observed Placide warily, ready to strike if provoked, it seemed.

Diego smirked. "Venipedes, huh? Just the name sounds like something to run away from. I like it." Placide's sudden climb definitely caught him off guard. It made him laugh how quick she was to climb a tree crawling with aggressive little poisonous Pokemon. But, of course that was the way to do it. Grabbing hold of a limb just above himself, he joined her in the tree.

Bliss grinned and jumped up further and began climbing on her own, always happy to get to play in a tree. "All right so what have we got here." From a branch above Placide he looked down at the little centipede Pokemon. She had a point. It was cute in its own way. But "cute" was never what had attracted him to bugs. He was curious. What would it do? He looked further up the tree. There were one or two crawling farther up into the tree, apparently either scared off or just uninterested. That just wouldn't do. "Is that the one you want? I'm gonna look around a bit more. It's just sitting there." He looked at the runt. "No offense buddy."

"Well, I'm not running away from one, and hopefully I can teach others to do the same. They might be poisonous, but there's many other Pokémon equally so, even more so, which people aren't quite as afraid of. " With this said, Placide began to make her way higher into the tree, leaving the runt behind but glancing at it every now and then.

"I dunno. It's the closest one, that's the only reason I checked it out first. Still haven't seen the others, you know. Might come back for it, though. It's looks as runty as me on the outside, but I bet you she's not quite like that on the inside. I think we'd make a good team." Placide said simply, beginning to climb even higher to take a better look at the Venipedes. Her eyes was fixed on an oddly coloured and shiny looking one, but her gaze quickly left it and she continued to search.

"Any of them caught your eye, mate?"

From up above he heard Bliss's joyful cries. A few seconds later two apples fell from above. One bounced off Diego's head and fell to the ground, rolling some distance from the tree. The second landed right in the crook of the limb below and one of its branches. Rubbing his head, Diego grumbled and began climbing higher. The rustling up above continued. What was Bliss up to up there? She couldn't be having that much fun running around in the tree. No, she was likely trying to flush out the rest of the Pokemon. "And I'm gonna have to come save her when she inevitably gets bitten," he muttered under his breath, rolling his eyes. Really though, she was likely too agile for most of the Venipede. He had, after all, trained her very well in swiftness and agility.

As he was peering into a knothole (from a good distance away of course), his foot suddenly slipped. He managed to catch himself and steady again. But in that moment he looked down and noticed something. A rather big Venipede had emerged from somewhere to claim the berry as its own. And who should happen to be trying to take it but the runt. "Well would you look at that," he said. He then called to Placide, "Hey, your little friend seems to have some spirit after all."
