"Yes, of course!" Felix concurred, "Your hypothesis is brilliantly constructed. Now what we must do is put it to the test." Felix said.

He then walked over to the Paragon case, and removed it from the inlay. Holding it with both hands, he closed his eyes and quelled his aura, just as before. Then he placed a burning desire at the forefront of his mind, to find the paragons. Immediately his eyes went white and he began to see images just as before. But this time the images were of a turbulent sea, and a small island. Felix attempted to direct the vision closer to the island, but as he drew closer, a sharp pain ran through Felix's body, sending him out of the trance.

Felix let out a pained gasp,

"I had a desire in mind, to find the paragons. And, I saw an island. But as I drew closer to it, a familiar feeling coursed through my body. Back when I was still training under the arcanocracy, they had us learn simple wards. One of them was a aura ward. It would detect any aura and reject it, painfully so. I have no doubt, that island is using a stronger variation of the same spell. And I also have no doubt that that island has the Paragon on it." Felix explained, "Though, without getting closer, there is no way for me to tell where that island is."

Felix entered a state of deep thought, searching for a way around this dilemma. Felix placed the paragon back in its cage.

"I have much to think about, I am going to retire to my study until breakfast. If you wish to continue research by yourself, you are more than welcome. Just be sure to document everything. In fact, you can start working on a pressing issue. The issue is, the indefinite containment and sealing of the Paragons. There's no telling what will happen when more than one come together. And we don't have enough space to keep them all in seperate rooms. So we need to figure out a way to suppress their powers while keeping them together. Do you think you can start on that end of the research?" Felix asked.

"Impressive..." Raiya replied to Nemo's confectionery creation.

Raiya continued to cook, placing every omelet she finished on separate plates. The rice cooker beeped meaning the rice was finished. On each plate she put a mound of rice next to the omelets. The sizzle of bacon reminded her that the bacon was almost finished. Taking all the bacon off the pan with a spatula, she carefully placed two pieces of bacon on each plate. On top of every pile of rice, she placed a single fully cooked egg. She quickly seasoned everything with salt and pepper.

"I can't really think of anything else to add, can you? So now all that's left is to set the table." Raiya said to Nemo.
Felix opened the door to the lab and left it open. The goal of the secret lab wasn't to keep other members from knowing about the lab, but to be a secret to invaders who were not apart of Paragon's End. The walls of the lab were lined specifically with materials and mana formulaic spells to be undetectable by manalysis and also to keep all manawaves inside the room only.

As they walked down the steps Felix began to answer Travis, "Well, as you know from what I have told you. Academia used to use the Paragon of Espial to find those with Talent mana wells," they continued down the steps and into the laboratory, "and from what diagnostics we ran yesterday, we descovered that it can be used to spy on those the user knows of personally. However, that cannot be the only application of it, if what I studied is true, it has to be able to detect at watch all manawells in order to locate those with the Talent trait." Felix finished as they approached the Paragon.

"So, I'll let you decide what we do next based on what I just talked about." Felix replied, "What diagnostics shall we run?"

Raiya was chopping up various vegatables and throwing them in a saute pan.
"We don't have any agar jelly so anmitzu is off the table. And we don't have azuki beans to make red bean past so all mochi is off the table. Also, we shouldn't serve anything cold for breakfast... So none of your suggestions will work." Raiya replied as she worked
Raiya quickly assessed the different cooking implements they had at their disposal. The island in the middle of the kitchen had two stoves with a total of eight burners on the top. And hanging above the island was a variety of pots and pans. Behind her in the cabinets under the counter next to the refrigerator was a rice cooker. Which was what she was looking for. She got out eggs from the fridge, and a variety of vegetables. And she found a bag of rice in the cabinet above the counters.

"So, I was thinking definitely rice, and japanese style omelets. Some toast as well. And possible something with fruit in it. What do you think?" Raiya asked Nemo in a rushed but cooperative tone.
Felix was about to give Zoey the same rundown he gave everyone else, but then she bounded off like a hound after a new scent.

Felix scratched his head, "Well, I got the last member. Her name is Zoey Ash. Though, I suppose she's not much for socializing... Well, anyway, I am sure you guys are all hungry. I was hoping you'd all still be asleep by the time I got back. It's too bad there are no reliable spells for making food while you are away. Or I'd have breakfast ready for all of you." Felix checked his manadial and saw it was 06:52.

Raiya walked in with a tall glass of a brown liquid. No doubt alcohol of some kind.
"If you need help cooking breakfast, I can cook." Raiya said with pride, her scowl changing into a snide smile. "I happen to be a master chef!"

"Well, I do have a lot of work I need to get into with Travis. If you want to cook the banquet today, I don't have a problem with it. Perhaps even Nemo would like to join you." Felix suggested.

Raiya's expression faded. Her smile and optimism: gone. "Suuuuuure. I'd positively LOVE it if Nemo came to help!" She said with heavy sarcasm.

Felix turned to Travis. "It's never to early to do some research! Let's do some general diagnostic examinations on the Paragon while we wait for food." Felix suggested, before heading towards the boiler/generator room where the secret entrance to the lab was.
Felix nodded, and turned around, opening a rift in front of them, the shimmering surface displaying a comfy living room with a fireplace, and many people gathered together.

"Let us away, then." Felix said.

He stepped through, and appeared in front of everyone in the living room.

"Mission complete!" Felix beamed, sticking his hand out in a thumbs up.
Felix smiled and blew out a sigh of relief.

"Luckily for you, we do not get the luxury of deciding our allies. Only those written on the lists can be one of us. And your name is here in bold black ink. We all treat each other with a certain amount of respect, even if Raiya is a bit rough around the edges when it comes to respect... You have no need to fear negative reception of your true form. I mean, our group consists of an ex-hitman convict who is pure white from head to toe, a yakuza leader who is part snake even sheds her skin every so often, a talentless magi scholar who gets by on his advanced intellect and quick thinking, an old enemy who was just trying to kill us yesterday, a girl who has no memories, and a hungarian girl who is actually part bird with wings and all. Oh, and of course me, an insane ex-Arch-Magi who has dreams and decides to listen to them as a good source of information. We are the motley-ist of crews there can be. You'll fit right in. I am sure." Felix explained.

All these plesentries made Raiya a bit sick to her stomach. Raiya didn't know german, but she knew enough to roughly understand what they were saying, and she was not amused. Best friend? I don't even have friends, only subordinates and circumstantial comrades. She thought. She was used to being the leader and giving people orders that they would follow with no questions asked. She wasn't really used to actually communicating feelings; in fact, she was sure she was allergic to it. The only reason she told Nemo as much as she did was because she was drunk, and also because she wanted to give him a false sense of companionship with her so she could find out any weaknesses he might have.

Raiya stuck out her tongue and made a overacted gagging sound. She promptly stood up and walked over to the kitchen to make some alcoholic beverage that could dull her senses. That was the only way she was going to make it through the day.

Felix scratched his head for a moment at the, "smell on you is weak," bit.

"I'm not quite sure if you meant I smell weak, or the smell of the church is weak on me. Hopefully it's the latter and not the former, because with the former I'd tell you that your senses are off. Though, the latter would certainly mean you have a keen olfactory system. I am no longer with any church, and in fact, my goals run contrary to the Arcanocracy at the moment. This places me in the predicament of dealing with them as adversaries for the first time." Felix began to explain, "I can't begin to tell you why, or how. But a few weeks ago I had a dream. In this dream I was told to collect the ancient artifacts known as the Paragons, and that the consequences would be dire should I choose to refuse this request. Dire as in, world ending apocalypse dire. I was also told to gather specific people, and form an alliance with them. This was a peculiar request and placed me in a precarious situation. The day before my dream the arcanocracy had just voted to ascertain the paragons for the betterment of the Catholic order. You could see why that might be contrary to the status quo as it were. When I awoke from that dream I found myself sitting at my desk instead of in my bed, in front of me was a list of names and locations written in my hand writing." Felix continued, "So, I set out to find these names, and find them I did. I brought them back to my headquarters, and they quickly set out to find the first paragon which was close by. They found the paragon, but encountered the catholic arcanocracy along the way. An old colleague of mine, Arch-Magi Thadeus. I stepped in before he could harm any of the team, and he quickly retreated at my appearance. This all happened yesterday. After I got the group back to the headquarters, I ended up having a second dream, with more names on a new list in front of me when I awoke."

Felix flicked his wrist, a blue flurry of flames consuming has hand briefly, then quickly subsided, leaving a thick piece of parchment in Felix's once empty hand.

"Your name is the last name on this list. The others I have visited have agreed to join Paragon's End, the alliance to collect and seal the paragons. The road ahead of us is fraught with perils, enemies who were once my friends seek our blood. We have already lost two of the names from the first list, one dead by Thadeus and his gang before he could even answer the request to join the alliance, the other dead by a trap in the catacombs where the first paragon lay. With all of this said, will you consider joining our team?" Felix requested.
Felix smiled as Ava and he came to an understanding.

"With that out of the way, I'll leave her to you guys. I have to make a trip to Montana." Felix explained.

And with a quick salute with his index and fore finger to his forehead, he opened another portal and disappeared.

Felix appeared on a hiking trail at the base of the rocky mountains.

Deciding to give manalysis a shot, he felt a presence a bit higher up on the mountains. Using the mana steps he used to find Ava, he walked upwards increasing his elevation until he was at the same elevation the presence he felt was. Then he walked towards the presence, finding himself at an opening of a cave. Standing in the opening of the cave, was a wolf-like woman with purple skin and green hair, a mask on her forehead. The morning sun had not quite yet peaked up over the mountain range.

Felix used his mana steps to walk up to the new person. This was definitely the Zoey Ash he saw in his dream.

"Beautiful morning we are having, today." Felix approached the new potential member. "You're Zoey Ash, right? I'm Felix Glasius." Felix introduced himself.

Felix was still wearing the white t-shirt and levi jeans that he was wearing when he approached Ava's town.
"On a list of things I'd likely take part in, a, 'pajama party' sounds like the least likely thing I would ever participate in." Raiya scoffed, "I don't do pajamas, and I definitely don't do parties without alcohol or other illicit substances involved." Raiya explained, as she folded her arms in discontentment, waiting for the conversation between Felix and the new brown haired bird girl to end.
