World-building sci-fi with weird monster designs sounds like my kind of thing, so colour me interested. What do you have in mind for the plot? Some search for a magic artifact superweapon... or something?

Also, if you don't mind, I'm not into romance or anything of the sort. I'm OK with violence and gore and depressing issues (which I guess is kind of a given if we're doing post-apocalyptic), but nsfw is no-no.

Hey, wanna ask something since I can't really see it from your post.

How is the setting of this? As in, what time period? What kind of technology is already around? Are there electric lights? Vehicles? You mentioned magic-powered technology, but is this more like steampunk magitek, or pre-industrial, or?

I'm thinking of making a student who's a musician, and might be able to do magic with music. I suppose that makes her element air?

Thanks for the welcome, @Hank. I've seen a lot of online place I frequented die, so it's a relief to know RPG is still going.

And, well, I guess my problem is that I live on exactly the other side of the world to the Americas (here it's day, there it's night). Would be difficult to schedule a chill Free Roleplay-level with this, wouldn't it? (Do people even schedule in Free? Or do people just happen to be on at the same time and the RP dies/you'll be left behind otherwise?) I used to play High Casual/Advanced-ish back in the days, but now I just want to relax my standards.

Hello! I used to roleplay here back in the days before the site's reboot. I think that was... 3 years ago? 4? I left after it was shut down, came back when it was revived, but never got around to actually roleplay for some reason. Guessing from my "recent posts", I also came back about a year ago but then also never got past the character-building.

I haven't been around online communities for a long while. Life and all. But after a recent turn, I found myself with a bit more free time than I know what to do with. So this is me attempting to come back to RPG, hoping that this time I'll be able to stay. Hi, how's it going here? Is this a good time to be around?
