Name: Theodore Wenton AKA Ghost
Age: 27
Gender: M
Powers: Ghost is simply good at not being where he should be.
Invisibility: He has the ability to completely disappear from sight. Anything he is touching a large enough portion of (as in, with a large enough ratio of surface area touching him to surface area not touching him) disappears along with him. Being a supernatural invisibility, he disappears from any type of sight; this excludes other types of sensing such as scent, hearing (he is not inaudible), empathy, or consciousness-sensing type of discernment. Ghost has become adept at using this power, and can stay invisible through many effects such as but not limited to pain, induced drugging, sleep, and at times unconsciousness. It is not a taxing ability after all of the practice he has had with it. Ghost can stay invisible for at least several hours. After enough practice with initial activation, actually keeping himself invisible is quite easy. He has never, thankfully, had the need to be invisible for much longer than eight hours, but when he reappeared at the end of that stretch is was by choice and not fatigue.
Intangibility: Ghost can phase his body through solid objects. The ability's effectiveness and duration vary greater depending on the severity to which it's used. To quickly reach his hand through a wall or metal safe is something Ghost can do with little thought or effort. He can manage to phase his entire body through a door or wall, but that requires concentration and is harder to do if he is holding something, or worse, someone. The transferring of intangibility happens similarly to that of invisibility in Ghost's case except that the ratio is much larger for the former. He could, theoretically, phase another person with him, but he has never tried to nor does he want to. Ghost can keep a limb intangible for as long as need be in his experience, but the action does tire Ghost exponentially more than invisibility. He cannot keep his entire body intangible for long, which is the reason he will phase parts of his body at once to get his whole self through an obstacle. He can travel a short distance with his whole body being intangible, being able to travel approximately 20 feet through solid matter before he begins to re-materialize(which lasts for only a few moments). Forced materialization is painful for Ghost. When intangible, the only way to sense Ghost is through any sort of mental capacity because his body does not exist in the same plane as the world around him.
Appearance: A man of alabaster skin pulled taut over a lithe frame of thin bones, Ghost looks like he exists with an internal temperature of below 50ºF. His lips range from pale pink to indigo blue, and his eyes are the color of ice. He now dresses as a civilian in dark jeans and plain T-shirts layered over thermals. His eyes dart from place to place, never resting for a moment outside the safety of his hideout. He stands at 5'10" and weighs 130 lbs. Although not muscular, Ghost's muscled are well toned thanks to constant use.
Personality: The name Ghost applies to Theodore is several ways. He is a man of little words. When he does speak, it is in a quiet but strong voice. He's not one for conversation, although if you do manage to catch him in a good mood his colloquy is usually well rounded and congenial. In all honesty Ghost is a friendly person, he just doesn't go out of the way to talk to others. He has a calm demeanor, slow temper, and easy laugh. Ghost can get philosophical at times, or play the devil's advocate when he really wants, when speaking to someone he is honestly interesting in talking with.
Ghost has a skewed sense of morality. He believes that no one could be judged for actions by an outsider's eye, and that the difference between perception and reality are majorly important in deciding what is right and what is wrong. The rape and murder of a woman could be justified in his eye - granted, that it would be hard to convince him it was right, but he wouldn't assume that it was wrong until he had a strong grasp of the situation. He also feels that the role of self-interest is an important factor in decisions. It is, after all, a dog eat dog world.
He is a man of little wants besides fullfillment. Ghost cares little for possession, relationships, or status. What he does he does because he finds immediate gratification or amusment. He doesn't plan much unless its needed. He doesn't know the exact limits of his powers because he had never felt the need to push them. This is why he travels so often and carries so little. The only problem is that he doesn't know what kind of fullfillment he's looking for. He's a wanderer, often with no purpose, without the instruction of his past superiors. It's almost ironic, that carring so little for wealth, he has specialized in theft. Or, maybe such a deamonr has come from having all the wealth he could want but finding no satisfaction in having it.
Strengths and Weaknesses: Ghost is a world class thief. Any skill that could be associated with or linked to stealing of theft can also be linked to Ghost. From simple lock-picking, to extruding electronic data, he can get his hands on
anything.
His biggest weakness is his lack of combat experience. Ghost was rarely used for any type of hostile operation. Although he had gotten the few assassination missions, it was normally because of how well hidden or guarded a target was, not because he had to pull some feat of strength. Ghost is agile, flexible, and fast, and can be called acrobatic, but his experience is mostly limited to training exercises.
History: Theodore Wenton was born to a normal family in rural Pennsylvania. He had a relatively normal life up until his parents died when he was fifteen. He was sent to live with relatives in Florida that his family had never been close with. He wound up resenting his aunt and uncle, their spoiled children and terrible yapping dogs, and by the time he was eighteen his days were rife with underage drinking, drugs, sex, and all types of fun illegal things. He started stealing shortly after moving in with his extended family, not liking the way his uncle would treat him after he asked for something. The habit turned into a lifestyle when he left highschool with no asperations or future goals in mind.
The loss of his parents had not lingered on his mind, but Theodore had always had a type of anxiety, almost, since he was young. Always antsy, always figiting, and always looking forard to the next thing he had to do. In the seemingly short years of his early adulthood, he began philosophical contemplations and found little substance in the world around him. Simply put, Theodore was bored of the world around him. He started to travel, and eventually made it to Miami where he was recruited.
The recruiting process, grueling and unforgiving, treated Ghost no differently than his peers. However, as an operative, he actually had a nice life. Having shown no impulses or desire to 'escape' he was never too harshly dampened or restrained. He enjoyed the training at first. Over time, it became clear just what the super-soldiers were to the organization and Ghost wanted to part ways, just like the others. After the escape, Ghost has been traveling the north-eastern US coast in hiding since then.
