Oddly, my avatar was not something I found searching for random creepy images. I was specifically wanting a cicada husk as my profile picture. Just want you all to have another reason to fear me

Does anyone else believe that humans are generally "good"? We have the potential for evil, but it's considered better to do the "right" thing. Makes you wonder, what would we be like if truely "evil"?

Roleplaying Career: ...Not much actually. I used to be part of a gaming forum, but I wasn't all that interested in just talking about the game, so I started lurking in the off-topic boards of the forum. In the roleplaying sub-forum, I got my first taste of... I guess roleplaying in general. I'd never played any roleplaying games like Dungeons & Dragons, too little friends for that. I do, for some reason, have a Dungeons & Dragons game that I have never played(I bought it as a kid because the owlbear on the cover looked cool). I was, I guess, pretty active on the roleplaying board, and I created one semi-popular roleplay, but I've matured a lot since then in a lot of ways, and I want to see how I do on an "actual" roleplaying forum.
Roleplaying Preferences: Like I said, my roleplaying experience is pretty much bare minimum. I only sorta remember what roleplays I took part in on the previously mentioned forum, along with some I tried to start, which never took off. I think the roleplay in which I was most active was a comicbook-style "superhero" roleplay I'd started, and while I still think that was pretty cool, my interests have evolved since then and I want to try other things. I don't like roleplaying as pre-existing characters, most of the time. I like creating new characters, new universes, and prefer to play with others' original characters rather than their impressions of ones which others created. As for pace, I like action-packed roleplays, that also allow deep stories. For genre... I dunno. I like unrealistic things, with a bit of an edge. Not happy cartoonish things, but also not boring realistic roleplays.
Hobbies and interests: I want to be an artist... of some sort. I'd say that I'm mediocre at writing and drawing, but nothing special. I've been trying to learn 3D-modeling for a while, with mixed results. I want a job in some sort of game design, although like I said I'm not particularly good at any single thing. I love video games like Terraria, Don't Starve, Spelunky, and Nuclear Throne, although I admit that I'm not that good at them. I like Five Nights At Freddy's for its "lore" and stuff. I LOVE the internet, and most of the things people create on it(although there does seem to be a large amount of unnecessary porn, but who am I to judge?). I love webcomics and web serials like Homestuck, Worm, Pact etc. I also have a keen interest in horror and grimdark stuffs such as Don't Hug Me I'm Scared, Salad Fingers and miscellaneous creepypasta, although I'm a wuss and don't like being scared. If we all had a "natural element" like fire, ice, electricity, light, air etc; I think that mine would be Madness.

Name: Daniel "Dan" Kilter Gender: Male Appearance: Tall, white, with blond curls, broken glasses and a slight tan. Not attractive but not necessarily unattractive either. Wears a gray hoodie and black sweatpants, both stained with dirt. Powers/"gifts": Able to animate any "sculpture" that he touches. These "sculptures" are defined as any 3D object, that loosely resembles a humanoid or animal of some sort. Sculptures' abilities and durability depend on their appearance, composition, and quality. Dan has varying degrees of control over them. Sculptures immediately de-animate whenever Dan is unconscious for any reason.
Examples of possible sculptures: A featureless humanoid clay dummy, a 3D wood carving of an animal, various objects taped together in a vaguely humanoid shape.(If a sculpture is of something mythological such as a dragon or a many armed man, it will still be animated because it counts as "resembling" an animal)
Examples of unanimatable things: A drawing because the object must be 3D to be effected, A sculpture of something like a tree because sculptures must resemble something mobile, A toy car because sculptures must resemble something alive.
Backstory: After fleeing from his abusive family at age 9, Dan lived off the streets. He knew the city like the back of his own hand. He knew where to get stuff, and where not to go. He could usually find a way to be paid, doing odd jobs like delivery for various gangs, without stealing except for a few desperate times. Still, at times he thought the street life wasn't for him. He knew he had potential as an artist. He would collect junk, and spend extra-cash on any cool stuff that his friends would sell. He used all this stuff to build sculptures. Crude, abstract, and usually only barely recognizable as something meant to look like human or animal, but surprisingly artistic for someone with no experience. Dan discovered his "gift" after a project he'd call "Katboy". It was a stuffed animal he had sewn himself, basically a sack with arms, legs, a tail, button eyes, and cat-like ears. Dan was admiring his work when it animated in his hands. Very soon after, he realized he could use his ability on other things... but then [insert whatever ever the Collecting is] happened. Other: Please, can Katboy be pet-friend?
Description- (You never did mention how exactly the Fae look. I think I'll just leave this blank, until that's clarified) Name- Vesanior Gender- Male Race- Semper Fae Age- Biological: 15, Actual: 162, Rebirths:3 (I wasn't sure about this either. Has every Fae existed since the beginning of Eon?) Personality- A trickster and a conman. Loves the feeling of taking advantage of others. Reckless, almost suicidal due to near immortality. Backstory- Every thing Ves had done, he had done for his god. At least, that's what he sometimes half-heartedly told himself. But nobody believed that, perhaps himself least of all. Really, his prime motivation was boredom. A man like he can only live a few lives before the world seems to lose it's splendor. Or perhaps Ves simply lost his. His first life was perhaps his best. He had stayed in the Gardens for its entirety, learned things and trying all the Gardens had to offer. But even the great wonders of the Gardens were finite.
In the middle of his second life, he became bored and went out to explore the world. Then was when he learned his affinity for trickery. At first, he stole well-guarded riches from nobles. This did prove to alleviate his boredom, at least until he was caught and sent to prison. After that, he proved to be much more subtle. Taking to the streets of many small towns, he sold "magic potions" and "lucky amulets". Using illusion, he could easily fake their effects and he made fortunes, leaving each town before his trickery was discovered. Now on his third life, Ves finds himself bored again, searching for something to waste his time. Magical abilities- Skilled in Illusionary and Suggestive magic, also has a bag of 1-use charms containing varied spells. Combat abilities- Skilled with a bow, used in conjunction with magic to confuse his enemies. Motive- A little bit of everything, but mostly boredom.
Name: Duelibous Nickname: Duel Age: Comes from a world where it is meaningless. Both ageless, and born exactly when the roleplay started. Gender: Male/Genderless Species: Feliniod Quasi-Tulpa Your powers: Able to shapeshift, float, become intangible or invisible. Relationship: Does not socialize well, no romantic interests. Sexuality: Straight... sorta. He kinda just acts like it, sometimes flirting but is really genderless.
Neutral state Appearance: Furless feline creature. Right half of body is a purple color, the left half green with eyes of opposite color on each side. Personality: Pretty chill most of the time, slightly weird. If something is causing him to change, acts panicked and is influenced by one of his other personalities. Powers: Hypno-vision causes paralysis, sleep or increased suggestibility.
Deranged state Appearance: Completely green with 2 cartoonish swirly purple eyes and a wide grin. Personality: Comic book villain-style insane. Cruel and weird in all the worst ways. Powers: Hypno-vision causes hallucinations and delusions. Can possess people via eye contact and unleash dark sides.
Feral state Appearance: Completely purple with cat-like green eyes and a maw full of teeth. Personality: Very little. Almost all rage, animalistic. Powers: Hypno-vision causes pain, fear and spasms. Prefers using physical violence.
States are toggled after over-exposure to negative emotions associated with each state.
@Heckno12 Oh no! The whole point of the character is that he was mostly mechanical, like most Arraxi, and only didn't die because of life magic. Since his new biological form is sort of what a young Frankenstein would put out for a science fair, it is always unstable and he needs to consume other creatures for their biological matter to replace his constantly breaking down body.
