GM stated that a Santa from a particular mythos/medium etc. would be fine. So taking a Santa on the basis of a particular story should be fine.

ROBO-SANTA!
Right, like Wassi Stickman, Raditz, George Melons, Joseph Joestar, and Carl Hanratty.

A character played ridiculously (or given ridiculous abilities and personality traits) can still be played competently. It was rude of me to say Santa was a joke character, but even if he was it wouldn't be too far off from some of the other characters made and posted.

Raditz and Joseph aren't joke characters. Sure, Raditz had a short lived villain career made worse by the power level escalation making him lower than dirt compared to outright Gods, but that doesn't make him comparable to say, Dan Hibiki.

And being a funny character doesn't mean they're joke characters.

Space {crouches down} here I {stands up, arms stretched out} COOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOME!!!
Okay, just a quick question because this immediately popped in my head.

Are fanfics allowed? Like, stories set in a universe based upon a work?
Alright, I'm also gonna reveal what could have been.

The story I originally had in mind was not in the same Brothersverse setting. Instead, it was set in another setting. Something a little more similar to The Death of Nicholas Santos in which it's a crossover.

The basic gist was that, in a Last Temptation-style illusion, the main character winds up in an alternate reality where the love of his life was still alive. However, he is immediately made aware of the fact that he's in an illusion devised by the antagonist and that he's supposed to stop her and save the multiverse. However, it's hard to do so when you're constantly seeing the person you missed so much.

In the end, the main character leaves behind the burden of saving the multiverse in favor of living in the delusional world, much to his mentor's chagrin.
I should probably say that I was the one who wrote Too Much Power.
We can probably make it a Wisdom (History) check.
Back in the beginning, the multiverse was young. Only a select few worlds were born. The first stories told. Throughout time, as more stories were told, more worlds emerged. The worlds, save for a few, never interacted with each other. Some believe there was a barrier blocking the worlds while others say that passage between worlds were rare, even for worlds with plenty of methods.

That is until long after the First Multiversal War. Gods of the Multiverse began to emerge and graced humanity for their magic, technology, and emotions. It was during this time that a God by the name of Yveltal let his stomach howl across the multiverse. A sign that he will bring death and destruction in his wake.

To prevent this, a God named Diancie created a way to harness the energies of one’s soul to feed the monster and stave his attack. However, her choice of who would wield her gift couldn’t have been more disastrous. While they valued the goal of stopping the Destruction God, their methods were harsh. They instead used this power to, through deceiving young teenage girls, crystallize others souls and then corrupt them until they broke.

For a while, these beings, The Incubators, were able to get away with their crimes. That is until a Green Lantern spotted them and brought the situation to the attention of the Green Lantern Corps. While most agree that their means were ruthless, others claim that the ends justify the means and even some claim that, because they’re not in their world, they shouldn’t meddle in their affairs.

Other Lantern Corps got word of it as well. Then word spread to Earth where the Justice League resided. At first, it was just a simple war between the Corps and the JLA. However, it was only a matter of time before the Incubators managed to find out the method behind traveling between worlds, mainly through the assistance of a god known as Volcanion. One thing led to another and in time, the Incubators gained massive sympathizers and even people who would wield their soul stealing powers.

Naturally, they’d have opposition, be they people angered by the loss of their friends at the hands of the Incubators or people who vowed to destroy enemies of humanity. However, they were confronted by people who believe in the Incubators’ cause or believed in the concept of Prime Directive. Soon, every world either was involved in the conflict in some way or has yet to be.

The Multiverse entered the Second Multiversal War, known as the Hope/Despair Wars by a select few. The war lasted for fifty years before reaching a stalemate after the ascension of a new God. It was then that one of the Multiversal Gods, a trickster by the name of Hoopa, created portals to a world that wasn’t involved in the conflict until today: Earth.

You, or at least, your starting PC, is one of these denizens of Earth, plucked away by the portals and thrust into a world engaged in war beyond comprehension. Who will you meet? What will you fight for? How will you endure: The War of the Multiverse?

Rules:
1. No arguments. These can seriously kill interest for a lot of people and ruin the experience. This is evident especially in “My dad can beat your dad” level arguments.
2. No game breaking powers, like insta-kill, powers that give you free hits on someone, and mind control. If it’s a part of a character’s power set, nerf it.
3. No sex. Now, that isn’t to say that it’s not allowed period, but if you’re gonna have people engage in sexual activities, at least cut to black and ensure they’re of legal age.
4. Not really a hard and heavy rule, but yes, you can play as Canon Characters. If you wish, your starting PC can be a Canon Character, but include in your backstory how a human from Earth came into their world and how they got involved in travelling across the multiverse.
5. Due to recent signups, I'm reinforcing the rule regarding OCs. They must have come from Earth. It doesn't matter what time era, be they from modern times, prehistoric times, or even somewhere in the middle. Anything else is fine, like giving them powers or whatnot, so long as they were people in our world before jumping multiverses. Signups posted before the application of this rule (July 16th, 2015) are Grandfathered.
5a. To expand on this, OC Stand Ins (Canon characters that lack so much of a personality you could make it your own) and Semi-OCs are allowed (They are OCs but from Canon settings) while full-on OCs (OCs from Original settings) aren't.
6. If at any point I feel like I've regretted accepting a character into an RP, be it the player's behavior or how powerful said character is in execution, I'll reserve my GM's fiat and reject the character.

• Name:
• Age:
• Gender:
• Appearance:
• Method of Travel: (How does your character travel through the Multiverse? Common methods include opening up Black Portals and traveling on space ships, though feel free to think up other methods like using Helheim Cracks)
• Powers: (Describe what your powers are, if you have any. This can range from magic to equipment to natural abilities to anything else. Shards are an option. They’re splintered fractions of a character’s soul and absorbing them gives you their powers and also a mental image of them to act as a spirit guide.)
• Personality:
• Starting World: (This gives me a good idea where you came from, and if you’re playing Canon characters, this is your world of origin)
• Backstory: (Tell us how your character came to travelling through worlds, including the first world they got to and how it shaped them, personality wise and powers wise)
Would the ability to recall details be perception?

Recalling details would be more History. Perception is seeing what's in front of you.
{begins exporting his character from a failed RPG on another

Name: His name was lost in time, and thus he is referred to as "D".
Age: At his death, 23. As a Spirit Ranger, abooooouuuuut 2000+ years old.
Gender: Male
Appearance: "SPIRIT RANGER! FIRE!" "The Furious Brave! Deathryuger!"
Sentai/Ranger Team or Rider Power: Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger (The Spirit Rangers branch)
Back Story: This will be broken up into chunks.
  • D existed in 1000 AD. He lived in an Mesoamerican civilization that, like many other civilizations at the time, were big on human sacrifices. For a time, he was neutral towards the sacrifices if it meant that they'd appease their gods and live for one more day. However, that tune changed when his little sister was selected for the next sacrifice. Conflicted on whether to allow his sister to die or run away and be branded an exile for the rest of his life, he cried. However, he noticed his sadness was sapped away from him by a strange sensation. He followed it until he spotted a strange knight-like monster with a sad face. The knight spotted him and sent strange minions at him. He ran off, taking his sister and ran away from the tribe, deciding to leave the place forever.
  • He and his sister lived off the jungle for a while, until D encountered a giant dinosaur. He fought the dinosaur for several days to protect himself and his sister, until eventually, he beat it. As he did that, a strange bird man came to him and congratulated him on his bravery. The bird man, who later identified himself as Torin, told D that the dinosaur chose to challenge him and that by defeating the dinosaur, Topaspino, he had made partners with him. He was given a Beast Battery. D asked Torin about the knight and Torin explained about who the knight was. The knight was a member of the Deboss Army known as Aigaron and that he was absorbing the sadness of the tribe whenever their loved ones were being sacrificed. He set off to stop Aigaron and save his tribe.
  • At the tribe, he was confronted by several of his tribesmen and telling him he doesn't belong here. After D explains to them about Aigaron, the Knight of Sorrow appeared and confirms everything D said. However, he soon tells them that should they stop the sacrifices, he would send monsters to eradicate the tribe, thereby ensuring the idea that they'd be spared if they sacrifice. D, not standing for it, transformed into Deathryuger (He and Torin had a naming dispute... He wanted D to be called Kyoryu Navy, but D thought Deathryuger was more cooler sounding) and fought Aigaron, several Zorima, and finally a Debo Monster who was absorbing the sorrow from the tribe. He drove off Aigaron and sealed him off, though the wounds he obtained from battle were too much for him. He died, knowing that he freed his tribe from torment and sorrow.
  • To his surprise, he still existed as a spirit. Torin later explained that Kyoryugers are so brave, they can cheat death itself and exist as spirits to aid future Kyoryugers in their battle. It took a while for D to accept, especially since he managed to outlive his sister and eventually his tribe. Because of this, D didn't help in fighting the Deboss Army when they resurfaced time and time again, not even when Torin asked for his help. To the other Kyoryugers, it was as if D never existed, and thus, his name was wiped from time and even Torin had trouble remembering his name. Eventually, his Zyudenryu, Tobaspino, grew impatient with him. On one night, Torin confronted D about the threatening note, then proceeds to tell him that Topaspino wishes for D to fight. D asks what he'd gain out of it, and Torin tells him that Topaspino be willing to cut the tie with him and allow him to go to the afterlife where his tribe will be. However, Torin warns that if he was to die in battle, his spirit would be lost forever, as the many years of him not fighting and being brave are catching up to him.
