The D&D theme is only in the world and lore. You don't really need to much D&D knowledge to play while it would help some tho. It will be pretty open when it comes to character creation. People in this world are barley hanging on, some just surviving. Keep that in mind. :) thanks for your interest!
@knockout709
Cool,sounds good thanks

I guess I'll make an OOC
@knighthawk
Yes that sounds about right.
Here is the character sheet, no over powered characters will be accepted. Think Waterworld in a D&D setting.

Name:
Age:
Race:
Class:

Appearance: (pic or atleast a paragraph describing your character.)

Personality: (how dose your character act?)

Alignment: (are you good, nutral, evil or somewhere inbetween? )

Diety: (do you follow a faith? Why?)

Skills: (what have you been trained in?)

Weapons: (what weapons dose your character have? Limit two weapons per character at start. Remember that weapons are made from bone, synth or wood if your lucky. There are metal weapons in Azmier but they are somewhat rare. They will become available later.)

Items: (what items do you possess. Example, net, fishing rod, boots, a piece of paper, an old dilapidated hat.) Limit a few items.

Boat: (do you have a raft, small boat, small scrap ship or do you not own a boat and live on a floating shanty. Or perhaps you live in three trees or the kingdom of Nair? Possibly Drandlebar the tinker gnome city?) The better your boat the less items, weapons you get.

Background: (what happened to your character before this point. Must be at least a paragraph but would like to see longer.)
@knighthawk
Great question, in Azmier the Genasi have become Slightly rare, there are obviously water Genasi here and there but by no means common and playing one will be limit one player. You have to remember that on Azmier the population is low as is.
Fire Genasi are pretty much extinct or have fled back to the elemental chaos. Wind, lightning and earth Genasi are present but not common.

There are no limits on Tieflings or regular Halflings.

The races that live Well over 200 years very likely where alive during the "old world" having lived through the apocalyptic big wave some how. You might have been young or older during the old world. Obviously Humans among other races can't live 200 years in most cases so all preasent humans would be decedents.

Magic has been all but lost, wizards need books to study and regiments to use. Most of witch have been destroyed during the big wave or sunken to the deep depths. Some magic users of old are present but with out paper and quill pen how should you make a spell book? Seaweed paper is available but I can't stress enough how devastated this world is. Think Waterworld but in a D&D setting. Since most dragons died during or after the big wave magic has been decimated. Aquatic/sea dragons as well as two or three regular dragons survive today. The floating shanty towns are vital to survival in most cases since you may purchase supplies or stay and live there.
Magic is most often water magic now a days for example, casting a spell to allow someone or yourself to breath underwater for ten minutes. Or shoot magic water missile. Mage or sorcerer class would be more of a support class I'm guessing.

After the big flood many gods abandoned the world. A few still make there home in Azmier for example, (gods are unique to Azmier meaning I made them up or changed them.)

Lunarus - goddes of the moon, tidewater movement and the currents.
Zypher - the god of lightning, thunder, storms and the unforgiving ocean.
Peleon - god of the sun, life, the harvest and summer.
Syshellos - the goddess of calm weather, peaceful waters, all natural ocean creatures and the forgiving ocean.
Mystic eye - the mystic eye is the Psionic energy that flows through us. (Not really a god)
Cathoric - is the god of chaos, mayhem and all unnatural beasts.
Asmodeous - the evil god of demons and the nine hells.
The Raven queen - the queen and goddess of death and undeath.

Many people live in three trees, it has an open door policy un like the kingdom of Nair in witch you have to become a resident to stay longer then a few days. Although finding the city is a task in it self. A pin prick in a whole world ocean.
Three trees has many districts and markets. Spanning from a slum to a "high canopy club" that lives high up with in the canopy. The tree city is mind blowing how the branches and plant life had been molded by the ancient druids to form this whole city. Vines intertwine, overlap and spiral along with branches and other plants to create pathways, buildings and every thing else. A city within three trees. Much fruit, vegetables, nuts are grown by the druids. They also have a great aquaculture farm. Fish and other sea food is harvested by the cities fisherman.
@DocTachyon
I'm out sorry. Good luck guys.
@Emma
Yeah totally, would love players :) hopefully more come through.

There are several locations of interest on Azmier besides floating shanty towns, some include.

Three trees: One of the only cities in all of Azmier, created by a very powerful druid and his two students. The city is built around three large trees that grow out from the deep water and soar into the sky.

The kingdom of Nair: Nair is the home of the great sorcerer Nair and everyone who resides in the city. Nair is very old and his city is as large as three tree. This is the only other city on the surface of Azmier. The city is a gargantuan piece of land that magically floats in the sky with intricate stair cases that lead up to the city.

Drandlebar: The under sea bubble city of the tinker Gnomes is a wonder to behold, with all the gadgets and technology.

The Jungle: the jungle is an area of shallow water where plants grow out from the ocean floor. The plants, viney trees and fauna have formed a thick jungle that is home to the last known species of birds and diffrent lizards and various jungle creatures. It is also the home of many vicious monsters as well as the cannibalistic tribal Halflings. Sharks hunt the shallow waters in and around the jungle.

Northern iceburgs: if you travel as north as possible you will soon encounter iceburgs that are home to yetti and other various monsters. It is extreamly cold here and only dwarves would truly be able to survive the conditions other then beasts.

Dry land: there is said to be an island hidden somewhere on Azmier yet it's only a myth and no one has ever found it, or if they did, never returned.

Anyone else?
I edited my CS, and updated the broken pics.
Let me know Thanks.
