He landed on his feet, a deep bloodthirsty grin on his face as the head of the Ursa separated from the body. Absorbing the blade back into his body, he began to move towards his zhen halves when he felt his knees start to buckle. Taking a moment to steady himself out and to catch his breath, Kael stumbled over to his weapon and attached them to his belt, not wanting to physically carry them.

He turned around to look at Francesca, waiting to see her reaction, but they had to get away now. "We had better get going. Don't want to be the last ones to the ruins."
Having Schwarz not on her leash is not good. The world could be destroyed!
Lugging his zhen with him, he and Francesca continued on their way through the forest, searching for the relics. She pulled out her sword and changed it into a rifle. Kael jumped backwards at this, ready to attack if need be. Then, she shot a Beowolf in the bush up ahead.

Kael's mind began to turn, cranking out a plan. They had to move now. They had to find this temple NOW! If there was one Beowolf, due to the gunshot, there will be more coming.

With no hesitation, he rushed after Francesca, who was already running. There was no time to sit back. There will be more Grimm. With more Grimm, there will be Death. Such a thought brought a smile to his face. Blood would be spilled!

On their way, he saw some small objects, small beaks in the bush. However, they were not a color he recognized. He pivoted on the run and hurried as fast as he can back to where they were. When he got there, they were gone. "AMBUSH!" Kael yelled to Francesca, worried what may happen now.
It is where I am in a death-like state.
While waling with his new comrade, Kael noticed she had begun to hum in a melody. It seemed pretty catchy, but he felt it might give them away if he were to join in. He began to search around the forest with his eyes, looking for any abnormal signs, things that should not be there. He used his zhen as a staff, using it to keep his balance. He was not afraid of it becoming dull, as it was specially crafted to not worry about it.

He was curious about where this relic is, as it seemed to be very important. What was its purpose? Why did Beacon want it? Was this all a test or something more? Shaking his head at these thoughts, as this was not as important. He had to make sure no Grimm were around. They had been lucky this far, not being attacked. He noticed when Francesca turned to look at him, he simply kept on walking, looking to his sides and above, as that was always a good way to ambush.
I need sleep. It was night where I am.
Yes, it's up again!! I will be posting my reply as soon as I get some sleep.
"My-my-my name is Ka-Ka-Kael Lor-Lord-Lordono-Lordonos." His knees began to shake a bit as his mind started to berate himself for his total lack of speech, as he could not speak correctly. "I do apologize for my speech patterns. I never spent a lot of time with people." At least now, he was able to speak.

Moving his two halves of his zhen together by the hilts, with a twist, he locked them back together into its original form, a bladed staff. Looking back up, he took a good look at his new partner, sizing up her size and hopefully to see what kind of fighter she was. She was wearing close to nothing, but she did have a few weapons on her. Hopefully, she was good with them. Nothing came to mind, so he began to take in his surroundings, looking to see if they were surrounded. Grimm could be anywhere.

"I guess we should move on, go and find this relic, I guess. Just to let you know, I am a melee fighter. I can take lots of punishment. What is your fighting style?"
Noticing that everybody had left, Kael left in a rush of flames that appeared around his feet, consuming him. Outside, he reappeared, where he noticed several plants around him. He bent down to touch a lilac, smelling its aroma. He sat there for several moments, taking in the smell. His mother never smelled like that and nor did his father, but it smelled amazing. Picking it from the ground, he pushed it into his pocket when he began to walk out into the lawn, not wanting to be around the ruckus. He laid down on a green spot of grass that looked comfortable and looked at the downing sun.

He closed his eyes, not wanting to return to the present or past, as both were very real, where the future was not. What did it hold for him? Who would he meet? How...would he change? He thought upon these topics while napping in the sun.
