The Sternguard was not at all impressed with the Space Wolf. If anything he was disappointed in the fact that the fool not only ignored common sense, but just kept on shooting despite the warnings from everyone. When the Guardswoman acknowledged him, he merely gave the woman a curt nod before the Wolf brought the Orks onto them. He took a step in front of her, his bulk easily covering the woman, and then fired off a few shots as the Orks converged on certain points.

Truly, he was not too concerned. A few Sluggas were nothing for an Astartes, much less a Deathwatch Squad. Beneath the helmet, a grin spread over his face as he downed them with ease, the Hellfire rounds destroying their meager protection. These were bullets meant to destroy Tyranids. Orks stood no chance. Much less these unfortunate saps that barely held usable equipment. A grin spread over his face as he became engrossed by the battle, beginning to actually move around, bullets from Slugga pistols either missing him by centimeters or plinking off the edges of his armor. Each round he fired, another Ork fell, the burst usually taking down the first and the one next to him.

He could hear one noisily coming up behind him. Spinning as quickly as his armor would allow, the Marine raised a foot to kick it in the chest. The Choppa it held dinked off his leg as the Ork fell back, and then the green bastard was aflame as the Marine's under-barrel suddenly shot a burst of fire onto the beast. "Such a change of pace from sneaking around Tyranids!" he said over the gunfire, letting out a laugh. As he turned once more, his eyes set upon the Marine that had fallen upon a group of Orks. The Marine ignored him, the man would be fine. Instead, he turned his gaze around, searching for the Guardswoman. She was part of his squad, but lacked what the rest of them had. She would need help. Besides, her regiment was a friend of the Zetas. He had a debt to repay.

Nah. He's incogneto, remember? Gotta keep that beautifully fuzzy head out of sight while Rectja wants him dead.

Sooo, until we get off Norrux?

Also, during the race, would it be possible for Ana to get up to him to talk? Introduce herself and all. Not saying I will, but I wanna make sure my options are available.

The waiting will make the inclusion of Jitters all the most delightful, especially when his ride begins and never ends.

This is what I found when I searched "the ride never ends".

I like this song.
Miss me?

Edit: Glorious mugging of *cough* innocent bystanders.
Name: Arus Lenthan / Sura Nahtnel

Gender: Female

Species:

Preferred Weapon(s)/Personal Item(s): .40 Neran Pistol; DM Sniper rifle; Invisibility Device

Abilities:

Thick Skin - The smallest of firearms and knives won't be able to pierce her skin, though they still hurt like hell.

Heightened Senses - The sight, hearing, and smell of Quernoans is heightened, giving them an edge over some other races in that department. However, it is not enough to be completely overpowering.

Invisibility - So long as she carries the experimental device, Arus will be able to turn invisible for up to ten minutes, though her sound is not muffled. This is not effected by how quickly she moves.

Bio: Arus grew up on the planet of Veretta, one of the Republic's many holdings, though the most valuable. Like many young species of her race, she aspired to be one of the many great warriors of her people. However, as time passed and she got older, it was clear to most around her that she wouldn't be fit for the normal soldier life - her muscles weren't as big as the others, she was timid, flinched when there was a loud sound, wasn't quick to violence. Her body was too slim while keeping the height of the others. However, this did not stop her from applying for the military when she came of age.

She was accepted, barely. It would have been the greatest embarrassment her family had ever seen if she hadn't been permitted to join: The only ones usually excluded from service were the mentally and physically handicapped, with the rare normal Quernoan that was simply inept. Of course, she wasn't placed in the normal rank and file soldiers - she was to be trained as a scout, as her small frame would allow her to hide better. Even with the extensive training and new diet, Arus failed to put on much more muscle mass than she already had - however, she made up for this by being an excellent shot with a rifle, even she did need some extra padding on her shoulder.

After that, she was promoted to the sniper teams, in where she began to personalize her rifle. No real modifications were made, but it was changed to be sleeker and darker until it was an earthy brown color, the barrel and stock splashed with tans and greens. Artificial leaves were grafted onto the frame, allowing for better cover in the jungles. Most snipers personalized their rifles in some way or another, and so no one said a word as she meticulously worked on the fine details of it. Her time in the sniper squad didn't last too long, though - a recommendation from her old scout commander had her whisked away to form a new assassin squad. Further training was given to her, in which she was taught hand-to-hand combat and how to use a knife effectively, along with some more advanced pistol training.

The physical training of being an assassin was a strain on her body, but she would not allow herself to be a failure. It wasn't exactly uncommon for recruit assassins to quit or fail, and it never brought shame. But it was not something she could allow. Even so, her muscles remained small and sleek, giving her a lean look rather than a muscular one like the others. Though she saw it as a failure, her squad leader saw an opportunity in her. With some string pulling and favor cashing in, he was able to get an experimental device: A new piece of technology, meant to cloak the user in a personal field of invisibility. Arus was to be the test subject for it.

The device worked extraordinarily. The time it was able to keep, while small in the scheme of things, was impressive for the first working model, and the fact that it hid the user and their weapons from view from anyone who wasn't really looking for them was an amazing feat. The only issue with it was a mental flaw, one that was severely overlooked. Arus was becoming more and more paranoid as she used it, to the point where she would even use it in the bases and camps she was using, and refused to take it off, even when she slept. Most saw this as her showing off and not wanting to share her new toy, but in reality she was simply going crazy because of the device, and no one thought to check the mental state of the user, only focusing on how great the device was working. The scientists in charge were even beginning to make similar devices to be distributed to the rest of her squad.

That plan ended one night when Arus suddenly went on a rampage in the camp. It was a normal night, job well done, they were to head back to the base the next morning. Arus was uncloaked for once, acting much calmer than usual. With the ease they were all feeling, none were carrying around more than their knives - they were far away from where their target had been, and close enough to the base that it would be foolhardy for any enemies to come at them, even if they could find their location.

Of course, they hadn't accounted for inside jobs.

Out of nowhere, Arus flipped out, throwing her food into the air, startling the others. Before any of them could really react, her gun was out and pointed at her captain. A cruel grin formed on her face, and the trigger was pulled. As the captain fell to the ground, her squadmates tackled her down. After a harsh struggle, they managed to knock her out, though they took more than a few bullets. They returned to the base by morning, far sooner than they should have. Two of them had died of their wounds and had to be left behind with the captain's body, and another died in the hospital ward, leaving just Arus and her last squadmate to report to the higher ups.

No one was sure what had happened, but she was allowed her guns, armor, and some clothes, and was exiled from the Hades System on pain of death. Reluctantly agreeing, she headed out... of course, after retrieving her little toy from a certain scientist. Then her ship escorted her to Norrux Mirugal, where she began to take up jobs as a mercenary and assassin, making a name for herself, though becoming harder and harder to find as time passed. And, with each passing day, she became more and more conscious of the other half growing within her...

Other: Extensive use of the experimental has given Arus split-personality disorder and paranoia.
Ana had made her way outside while the others discussed the plans, mostly just to get away from them all. It wasn't that she didn't like them... They were all just too good for her tastes. She pulled out her lighter, the intricately engraved AC on the side a bright silver beacon to thieves, and then pulled out yet another cigar. At this rate, she'd be out before the week was over. With a flick of her thumb, the butt was lit, the paper flaring up before shrinking down into a dull orange glow. The lighter was shoved back into her coat pocket, right next to her gun. Her back pressed against the wall of the old building, the wood creaking beneath her weight. Her eyes lowered until they were nearly closed, going into a small half-sleep, swaying in and out while the smoke entered her lungs and back out her mouth with every other breath. Of course, this didn't exactly last long as the others weren't particularly quiet with their exit. She was about to follow them, though she didn't see the extra alien they had brought back. Her brow raised, and she kept her back to the wall and peaked around the corner until they were gone, and hurried back inside.

Just as she had suspected, the one that had been spying on them was in fact still there, sleeping in the corner where they'd left her. Never being one for tact, she stepped up to the sleeping alien and kicked her in the leg. Arus let out a little mumble and stirred, blinking slowly as she looked around at her surroundings. In the back of her mind, Sura stirred slightly, but made no move to do anything, as if going back to sleep. Before she could become panicked, Ana raised a hand to quiet her. "You aren't in danger," Ana assured the alien, giving her a calm look. "If they wanted you dead, you would be. They even let you keep your gun, see?" She motioned with her free hand to Arus, who checked the holster on her thigh. And, just as the human had said, her Neran was in its holster.

With some help from Ana, Arus got to her feet, and Ana explained that the others had headed out to see some doctor in the slums. She'd caught that much. Arus knew the one - some of the thugs she hadn't killed had been sent to him, only to be killed a few days later. Ana smirked; it was nice to see someone who didn't put up with shit. Even if she was fucked in the head, Arus was already a bit more tolerable than most of the others. So, the two headed out of the apartment towards the clinic, Ana following close behind Arus, mostly to make sure she didn't bolt. By the look of things, the alien didn't look comfortable in the crowd, and might run at the drop of a pin. She wasn't going to take the heat for that.

A little dealing in an alleyway caught her attention, and she stopped Arus with a grab of the alien's arm. The pair looked down the alley, and saw a man in a thick black trenchcoat cornering some woman against the wall. Whether it was a drug deal or a rape or a weapons deal, Ana didn't particularly care. The only thing she saw that she wanted was that coat. With a smirk, she and Arus made their ways towards the shady business in the alley. There was some muffled shouts and the sound of a beating, and Arus emerged with Ana a few steps behind, a large black coat now covering her suit from view, covering her down to the knees. Putting her hands in her pockets, she took a drag from her cigar and blew the side of her mouth. It really was a nice coat.

Arus and Ana showed up at the clinic just as the scarred nurse entered from the back. With a small explanation, Arus was permitted in, though Ana was made to stay out, due to her smoking. With an annoyed look, she took a little object from her suit-jacket, snipped off the burning end of the cigar, stomped it out, and replaced the still long log back into its case. She'd have to finish it up later. A few moments after Arus, Ana entered. "Tad crowded back here," she muttered, sounding clearer without something hindering her mouth.
The inside of the gunship groaned as the great weight of the Sternguard was lifted off of it. The Marine landed on the ground with a heavy thud, the man grunting at the impact. Higher than he'd expected. Looking around, he made sure all others were accounted for... By the screaming, he'd assumed the resident Angry Marine was up. But no, it was only the Space Wolf, who was now blasting at the undergrowth with his gun, just inviting trouble on them all.

Next time, I want intelligent people on my squad, he thought to himself, pulling his own Bolter from its sheathe. The heavy metal of his cloak made little sound as he positioned himself nearby, aiming his gun at the undergrowth, trying to hear where the Orks would be coming from. Not that he could hear much other than that damned gun anyways.

But, he was a Sternguard. He was patient. He would wait.
I'd be interested in playing a Nord.
Oh. I thought you were cooking and looking for suggestions.

I still recommend cooking some breadsticks, those things are delicious.

What would you suggest to go with the Black Farfalle?

I was unaware of there being black farfalle. If it is what I think it is and tastes the same, I suggest either fettuccini sauce or tomato sauce to go on it, while having either breadsticks or garlic bread as a side.

If this isn't what you meant I'm going to look pretty silly.
