Pokémon: Start

Okay, well if nobody has any issues with Lucian being against Oaken , I'm going to start writing Lucian's response and leave an offer at the end for Ren (or someone else if they mention it , to avoid an awkward situation where 3 people want to do a double battle...which I guess we could turn into triple battle ,but semantics).

Edit: One of roleplays I'm in are actually using a Chatzy group to keep in touch when they're not online here, anyone else think this is a good idea? It keeps the OOC abit tidier as well.

Vauldis shuffled out of the inn quietly, not wanting to draw any attention to himself, he had hunched over and covered himself in black robes with a cowl covering his face, it also gave him the appearance of an old man combined with his hunched walk. He had arrived late last night.So instead of going to the meeting point so early,he decided spend the night waiting in the inn.

As Vauldis left the inn and on to the fairly empty roads however, a young man (Vauldis guessed he was more of a boy, in his late teens) rather shakily confronted him"O-kay , sorry but give me your gold!" The man announced, brandishing a knife rather clumsily. Vauldis inspected the area to see if there was anyone nearby, there wasn't from what the lycan could see. Leaving his hunched position, he rose up above the robber before removing his cowl, revealing his beastly, almost decaying, face. The clumsy thief-to-be let out a slight squealed before Vauldis lurched forwards and grabbed him by the throat, his other clawed and went to the man's face and made a beckoning gesture. After a few seconds of confused silence the man began to cough and splutter before a silvery substance erupted from his mouth. Vauldis grabbed it and released it into the air, shortly after it was consumed by and inky blackness. After this the lycan cast the man to one side, hunched down and pulled his cloak back up before making his way up the road to the capital cities entrance.

I don't think Lucian would have any issues teaming up with Ren , although I suppose there's the problem of Ren being up for it as well. Eh, I'm not too bothered honestly.

About Species:Lycan's are descendants of ancient werewolves, unlike their cursed counter-parts however, Lycan's are constantly under the guise of a wolf,making them outcasts in most societies. Lycan's typically worship dark gods or powerful creatures of the forest, partaking in natural magic or black magic respective to the god that is worshipped in the local community.
Lycan's are a savage and fairly primitive race, living in tribes in wastelands and forests. Although most lycan's are fairly simple and never wander from their homes, some have a craving for power,adventure or knowledge and leave their home tribes.

Weapon(s):Has a small dagger sheathed at his waist and his own claws to use if things get rough
Abilities: Vauldis wields a variety of dark magic , usually using spells that raise the dead or casting bolts of death at his opponents, if it's dark magic , Vauldis probably has at least a little knowledge about

Reason: While Vauldis is a spell-slinging lunatic, he still needs cash and a hut to live in.

Brief Personality && Biography Description: Originally working as a doctor in one of the lycan tribes in the forests around Naviance , Vauldis had a simple life of eating, amputating limbs and generally being a bad doctor, eventually to a point where he earned the title "Plagueclaw". The title wasn't exactly a good one however as soon after he was cast out of his tribe because of the amount of pain he had caused many of the tribe, for curiosity or incompetency (mainly due to the primitive medical tools he had to work with).
Starving and alone in the forests after several months of being slowly driven to insanity, he was approached by one of the dark 'gods' worshipped by the lycan's. The being had applauded Vauldis' work but suggested a better way to sate his lust for knowledge and power. Magic. In return for a variety of dark powers, Vauldis would simply have to take the souls of those he kills and give them to this 'god' , making it, and in turn Vauldis, more powerful. Naturally the first thing Vauldis did was return to his tribe and destroy it, reaping their souls for power, although he was slightly wounded by the guards of the tribe as Vauldis wasn't exactly the bulky sort.

With that done the mildly derranged mage set out to Naviance , hoping to make a name for himself. And perhaps some cash in the process

Additional Information:
Due to his pact with the death being, Vauldis is technically undead and therefore is weakened by holy objects.
Vauldis cannot sleep or eat, he is basically sustained on souls
Despite his new power, Vauldis still has a fascination with medicine

Well this thread blew up since I went to sleep, and his ability to raise the dead is more summoning a few skeletons or zombies. In the right conditions I guess he could resurrect someone who recently died buuut that might interfere with the plot or something.

Unless someone really wants to fight Oaken , I think Lucian will fight him. He just seems like the sort of person Lucian would love to mess with , especially if he let slip how he really got a pokemon of Kalmia.

I don't mind a double battle if anyone's feeling up for one.

Route 2 is more difficult eh? Lucian noted this.While the route was far more difficult , there were more rare pokemon and Lucian felt like taking a gamble so he thought he would try his luck in Route 2 and return to Route 1 if things go south.

Kalmia's request to, as she put it, 'kick this guy's asses' was a request Lucian would gladly oblige. After all, he had noted the look Jacques had given him during his discussion with Kalmia and he didn't like it, not one bit. Lucian returned houndour to his pokeball after muttering "Time to test your metal on the battlefield...", Lucian stepped forward and said to Kalmia "Professor , I would be more than happy to have a battle with one of these other..hopefuls" This would be Lucian's first battle in a long time and, he guessed, houndour's first ever battle. Hopefully our opponent isn't experienced either...

Lucian stood with houndour next to him, attempting to listen to the professor but his interest quickly faded. At the end of the day completing the pokedex was not his top priority, although the cash could help. He wanted to capture pokemon for HIS benefit, not to fill in some pages on this digital encyclopaedia, although he supposed he should at least feign an interest and proceeded to index all of the trainers starters.

Ok, so when the professor has finished her speech, where am I going? Perhaps I should go down Route 2, the infested forest sounds like it will have a variety of marvellous pokemon for me, and perhaps I should be concerned with who I'm going to travel with? The journey will be remarkably boring without something to keep me entertaine- 'RRRRHHHHHHYYYYYYYYY... perior!' this sound ,accompanied by a flash of light, startled Lucian slightly before he regained his composure. Looking aroud for the source he quickly saw the rhyperior, clapping his hands together he quietly muttered "Brilliant, the fellow must be incredibly powerful..I wonder if houndour will end up on a comparable power level to him". Houndour gave him a look of disbelief, his gaze shifting between him and the huge rock pokemon. Lucian chuckled and looked at the dark dog "Perhaps not...I suppose we'll see". His attention regained, Lucian quickly added rhyperior to his pokedex and continued to listen to Kalmia as houndour's interest still waned and looked around the room at all the shinies and bright things.
