Personality
Elissa can best be described as being child-like in the best sense of the word; she looks at the world with innocent, hope-filled eyes that try to find the good in everything. She is open and honest with everyone she meets, not yet experiencing true betrayal nor having her ambitions be tainted by the world. For as much of the goodness that comes with a child’s mindset, Elissa also has areas where she lacks. The young girl is still overly trusting of new acquaintances, lacks the ability to properly control her impulses, and can be oversensitive to the actions of others. Though her English is very rudimentary, neither it nor anything else will do much to stop her desire to just have a good time with her friends in the long run.
Equipment
Weapon #1 — M/28-30 (Image)
Elissa's preferred weapon is a Finnish variant and upgrade of the Mosin Nagant M1891. It is a bolt action rifle chambered in 7.62x53mmR, fed from a 5 round internal magazine, with improved reliability and accuracy. Having used this rifle since her childhood, Elissa is very familiar with the operation and maintenance of this rifle. As her prey changed from deer, boar, and common predators to monsters, she had to change her ammunition from standard ball rounds into custom enchanted silver bullets that are able to harm beings unaffected by mortal weapons.
Weapon #2 — Huntress’s Daggers (Image)
A pair of twin enchanted silver knives capable of slaying monsters that would otherwise be invulnerable to mortal weapons. Though intended for killing, these blades' hefty weight and razor-sharp blades allow them to be used for general utility, such as hacking away brushes or basic cooking. She usually keeps them strapped to her hips on her back. Ironically, these daggers are particularly effective against Elissa. (No relation to her being able to turn into a wolf).
Weapon #3 — Gleipnir’s Essence (Image)
Elissa was granted a ribbon that is a replica of the ribbon that was meant to bind her father, Fenrir, until Ragnarok. This “knockoff” Gleipnir is not unbreakable like the original, but it is still incredibly strong and is able to move at the command of Elissa to bind enemies or grab items she cannot reach. It is capable of reaching up to 100 feet long and shrinking to just a foot in length, as well as altering its width. This was a gift from the Goddess of the Hunt, Artemis, as a useful tool, but also as a means of restraining Elissa's powers. When Elissa wears it as a choker, it will prevent her from transforming and prevent Fenrir from influencing her to do his bidding. This is a gift Elissa appreciates, especially when she fears that she will unintentionally lose control, but she does not realize its true implications.
Attributes
Devouere of Gods: Fenrir
As the daughter of the mythical beast Fenrir, Elissa shares the powers and biology of her father, including supernatural physical prowess and shapeshifting. She has extremely acute senses of smell, sight, hearing, taste, and touch, allowing her to be a very efficient tracker and hunter. In her human form, she is already strong enough to break through walls, fast enough to outrun cars, and resist bullets.
As she grows in size, however, her strength, durability, and regeneration scale exponentially, while her agility and dexterity suffers due to her size. If she wishes to trade strength for greater agility and speed, she can transform into a more humanoid form, much like a werewolf.
In theory, there is no limit to how larger or how strong she can get, but so far, the largest sustainable size is that of an average two-story suburban house. Her shapeshifting allows her to transform into a wolf at any stage of development and at any size She often either prefers a small puppy or a direwolf as her default wolf forms. Elissa is also capable of consuming any matter, regardless of its edibility to allow her to temporarily grow larger.
Due to her heritage, she has a natural connection to other wolves and dogs and is capable of conversing with and commanding them. Her presence will usually command the attention of normal canines but will do little to affect beings with more agency and intelligence.
Biography
Elissa was born in the northwestern tip of Finland, near the Scandinavian Mountains as the daughter of Elsabet Tähtinen, a local huntress and wildlife expert. As a child, Elissa grew up surrounded by nature and quickly learned how to both survive in a frozen woodland and take care of her habitat. Taking on her father’s predatory nature, the skills she was most passionate about were tracking and hunting, albeit it was with human senses and a rifle rather than her wolf abilities. Though she didn’t know about her lineage, she always felt a connection with the wolves she often encountered while hunting.
Her upbringing in the mountains and forests has kept her rather isolated from city life, leaving her lacking in social skills and in education. When her mother finally decided to send her off to a boarding school for her high school education, she struggled to adapt. Between catching up with academics she’s missed out on for most of her life and learning how to be a normal teenager, Elissa was under more stress than she’d ever been in. At the same time, she was dealing with the blooming of her powers, which only added to her struggle. One day, when she was 16, her shapeshifting took hold while she was with her friends and she nearly tore them apart.
Horrified at her transformation, she confronted her mother and learned that she was the child of Fenrir. In shock and fear, Elissa impulsively ran off into the wild so that she wouldn’t be able to hurt anyone again. For a while, she found solace with the wolves and in hunting freely every day. However, her presence drew the attention of the Greek Goddess of the Hunt, Artemis, and her huntresses. Initially, they were at odds, but the goddess soon took pity on Elissa and took her in.
While with the Hunters of Artemis, Elissa refined her skills and learned how to control her powers. Her prey was not just common game anymore, but monsters and mythical beings. For a good year, she enjoyed her time with fellow huntresses, but being a Norse demigod among Greek demigods, she drew unnecessary attention from Nordic monsters, on top of the normal Greek ones the Hunters faced. For the sake of the Hunters, Elissa elected to leave and forge out her own path, but not before Artemis left her with several gifts.
Soon after leaving the Hunters, Elissa was confronted by a force of warriors who feared that she might be influenced by her father to preemptively initiate Ragnarok. The daughter of Fenrir initially ran, but eventually, chose to stand her ground. Though Elissa was well-trained, the skill and numbers of her opponents overwhelmed her and she was brought to the brink of death. It was as she died that she was pulled across the boundaries of reality and was drafted into Legion Mortuus' Leviathan Squad.
She would spend the next nine years serving in Leviathan Squad, where she further learned how to control her powers and befriended people like her. Her best friend was a fellow demigod by the name of Jove Everett, a son of Zeus. Later on, as Leviathan Squad grew, she made friends with a Daughter of Sekhmet, Malibu Thorne. The two initially had a brief rivalry, but soon after, they became best of friends. Her time with people who aren’t threatened by her abilities allowed her to learn how to better control her animal instincts and how to interact socially.
