Kingdom Hearts: Return to Light

Malcolm couldn't believe his eyes. He'd just seen this girl fall from the sky without so much as a scratch. He offered her a hand and lifted her to her feet.

'Hi, you just fell from the sky...' said Malcolm, he pointed up as if that would help this girl better understand what he meant. 'I mean, I did to' -- A moments silence drew between them. Malcolm, not knowing what else to do, offered a hand for her to shake.

'I'm Malcolm' he said 'and I have no idea where we are. Do you?'

Malcolm realized he was falling, and falling fast. Wind whipped past his ears, his entire body numb as he opened his eyes, partially blinded by the sun which felt way closer than it should be, Malcolm looked up, which was actually down, to see the ground rapidly growing beneath him. He would have screamed in terror if he had the air in his lungs to do so -- before he could really grasp the situation he blacked out again.

When he woke the second time he was lying in a cold pool of water. He shot up, his senses returning to him, patting himself down to make sure he was still in one piece. He was okay, minus a few cuts and bruises. They didn't seem like they came from falling. Almost like he had been in a fight. What's worse, the left frame to his glasses was cracked, there wasn't much he could do about that so he slipped his glasses on the top of his head. He could just about see okay without them.

A quick survey of his surroundings told him he was somewhere tropical. He could feel his clothes clinging to his body -- his puffy baby blue hoodie was stifling and his white jeans and yellow shoes didn't help much either. Malcom was surrounded by forestation except for a small clearing. He could see a gentle waterfall nearby and -- another person falling from the sky! Malcom rushed over, running as fast as he could, despite the aches he felt from the cuts and bruises.

Whoever it was fell into the water with a big splash.

Kingdom Hearts: Return to Light

This is based on the Kingdom Hearts video game series but you do not have to have played the games to enjoy this roleplay.

I am seeking a maximum of two players to join me on an adventure to many familiar worlds. The adventure will pit you as a chosen keyblade hero with the power to fight the heartless -- a race of dangerous creatures used by villains to conquer worlds. With the forces of good on your side it is up to you and your companions to venture from world to world, fight the heartless, and defeat the villains who control them.

This roleplay will feature a lot of characters and worlds from the Disney universe. From Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, and Goofy -- all the way to characters like; Winnie the Pooh, Hercules, Peter Pan, and many more.

What is unique about this roleplay is the new addition to the worlds on offer. As well as the Disney universe there will also be SHONEN MANGA universes; Dragonball, One Piece, Pokemon, Digimon, Beyblade -- to name a few. Characters and settings from these worlds will be featured in the roleplay, and used in new and inventive ways.

The roleplay begins with our characters waking up on an island with vague memories of their past lives; they must work together to survive on the island and unravel the mystery of how they got there, and what journey lies ahead.

Kingdom Hearts: Return to Light (always open)

This is a roleplay based on the Kingdom Hearts series. You do not need to have played the games to enjoy this roleplay as this is an interpretation of that world and differs from it a fair bit. I'm looking for a partner who wants to go on a big fun adventure with magic, comedy, and a couple heart felt moments thrown in for good measure.

The Lore

There once existed countless worlds in a vast beautiful universe -- each world a twinkling star. Uncountable stories unfolded on these worlds and the heroes and villains of their day battled in an endless struggle -- good versus evil. Then the Heartless came, controlled by a force lurking in the shadows. One by one these stars, these worlds, began to blink out of existence. It is said that a boy rose up to save these worlds wielding a magical blade, the key to saving the universe...but that was long ago.

Now, centuries later, the darkness has returned. The heartless are back. The universe needs heroes. That's where we come in.

Who are we, exactly?

There is a lot I'm going to keep a secret -- to be revealed later in the roleplay. But there's a few things I can share with you right away. We will be original characters we make up ourselves. We'll be aged between 14-16. I will be playing as a boy. I don't mind what gender character you wish to play (or ethnicity for that matter). Our characters won't know each other until the roleplay begins.

So...will there be Disney Characters?

Definitely. Though they might appear different to how we know them. This story is set way after the time many of the original Disney characters were alive. Try to think of it as 'the next generation' of Disney characters, sons, daughters -- and the like. There will be a lot of Disney characters in this roleplay but our characters are the main focus.

Writing Stuff

- A few things about the roleplay style. This is casaul-to-high casual, with room for it to become Advanced if we naturally start posting at that kind of length.
- Please do not write what your character is thinking. You can show it by how they behave. I can't roleplay with thoughts. Having concrete words and reactions to play with and against is what I need.
- If we begin the roleplay and you feel it isn't for you. Please tell me right away. I will not be offended.
- I'm looking for a PARTNER which means please bring your own creativity into the mix. If you have an idea for where the story could go please message me about it out of character and I can give you the go ahead to write it into the roleplay.

2) Please show me who your character is. Don't tell me through paragraphs of internal monologue.
3) Be an active participant to the story. Surprise me. I may be the 'leader' of where the story is headed. But please have your character cause incidents and scenes to happen instead of passively reacting to everything.
4) Post 1-3 times a day on average.
5) I am fine with kinky or suggestive scenes or characters. However I am not comfortable with smut roleplays or scenes.

note: I prefer to keep conversations between our characters as one liners. People don't talk to one another in monologues.

Marvel Universe

I haven't seen the show, FirolV. It would just be a secret government-like force. Like Men in Black.

Marvel Universe -- Agents of Shield

I want to roleplay a specific version of the Marvel Universe I have in mind. As much as enjoy some of the current Marvel Cinematic Movies I feel they're not exploring their characters and stories to their full potentials. I wonder what 'Thor' would have been like under a director like Christopher Nolan. Or Spider-Man under James Cameron (nearly happened back in the late 90's). My favourite superhero movie is 'The Dark Knight' with 'Batman Begins' as a close second. I want to give a greater sense of realism to the worlds -- have real moral conflicts, ethical greys, and stories which rely on more than just punching the villain. Another element I want to add is any of the heroes can die if they make a wrong decision. Why? Because this is a roleplay and we don't have to worry about losing customers.

Still with me? Great. I know how I want to portray most of the key heroes and villains, and what actors I would choose to play them if I were given the chance (though I can keep this to myself if others don't like pictures in their roleplays). I'm unsure whether we should play as the heroes or if we should play original characters in the universe. I would prefer to introduce the heroes and their settings before handing them over to others. By that time however you might have an original character you're fond of anyway.

My idea to tie the roleplay together is to have us start as agents of SHIELD. Each of us have our own field of specialisation. We won't have powers to start off with though that can change as we progress through the story. As Agents of SHIELD we'll go on missions and come into contact with the heroes and villains of the world. I'll most likely tie in an event for the heroes to come together and fight, though that would come after all the introductions are done.

I will be acting as a GM and will play the numerous characters in the setting. Whilst you and the others play as the Agents of SHIELD. I'll refrain from making a character of my own considering I've got a universe-worth of heroes and villains to juggle.

Please leave your resumes (cough, cough -- character sheets) below along with any questions you may have. I'll be honest -- I'm pretty darn picky about who I roleplay with. I'm looking for ACTIVE PARTICIPANTS. People who add something to the story, not just reacting in a passive way. If I throw you a curve ball I'd hope you'd still bat it out of the park (or something).
