Quindaro:
"Take good care of the shop now Johnnyboy, I plan on coming back when I'm not working with the city 'ere in a few years," Quin said with a cocked smile towards his business partner. Handing over a ring of spare keys to the shop. Wearing one of his long leather dusters with his usual workman's suit. a brass timepiece pocketed with a brass chain dangling out as it connected with his undershirt.

"Ah don't worry 'bout the store so much, I'll take good care of her while you're gone doing whatever the government is gonna be having you do." John replied with a slightly annoyed look upon his face as he'd been told this many a time in the process of him trying to lay the responsibility of it into John's care. The store was Quin's baby, and leaving in the hands of others was not favorable in the slightest. Though he'd been requested by London Parliament to be an advisor on some engineering projects.

At least that's the story Quin had fed to his family, and business partners.

With that Quindaro walked out giving John a small wave, but before he could close the door, he gave John another look. "I'll come and kill ya if I learn that everything burned to the fockin ground. Just warnin' ya." He said with a smirk before walking out onto the brick laden road. Looking down the way, he saw the intersection where he was told to meet in the letter earlier this morning.

"Hmm... The ministry notified me to be there at... err...." He hesitated and pulled out the timepiece hitting a button as the lid opened revealing a simple clock face. "Looks like I'm going to be right on the dot. Though if they're not on foot...." He looked about the crowd and smiled, "....I'm gonna have some time to spare based on this crowd." It would definitely be enough to let his mind wander and ponder the new job. He thought of what it'd be like. Part of a taskforce full of others who may be stranger than himself. Though he'd only met one of the blokes, but the rest he'd just corresponded with letters.
Subtly there was a small tear into his mind. Dark whispers filling his head for a moment before moving on to focus on something else. He didn't know what was going on, but something eldritch wanted his attention for whatever damned reason. As he leaned against a building and waited thirty minutes longer he'd already struck up some tobacco to his pipe. Several minutes had passed as he puffed and watched the timepiece tick, the ever moving second hand acting as his consciousness as he thought of his possible future projects. Then he looked down the street and saw the marvel of steam power start to make its way towards him, the man of which could be presumed as Mr. Birmingham driving.

As the steam wagon came to a halt, he could hear the pops and the whirring of the belts as he stood there for a moment reveling in this technological beauty. As he stood there he got a look at the car's cowling and saw it had MPO in fine lettering, of which he was told to look for when approaching. Sighing gently, he removed his tophat and looked to the driver. "Hello there, I'm Quindaro Redmire. Here on Ministry business?" He asked as he looked at the driver then briefly to his passenger, giving her a slight nod, before return

Jinx:
Mr. Birmingham got out of the car quickly, pulling his driving goggles up on his cap, "Top of the mornin to ya, Mr. Redmire. Yes I was sent henceforth by Mr. Weisskampf, to pick up you and a few others. I apologize for the tardiness. I am sure you know about London traffic.”

He took a few steps forward and opened the door for Mr. Redmire with his arm tight against his back, “I am sorry to rush you, but I have two other stops to make. Mr. Weisskampf hates when I am not prompt. Mrs Haven here will make room for you, Please…”

Jinx scooted over to the opposite seat, pushing down her skirts, as she looked at the body to the right of her. She tried to loosen up so that she didn’t seem too stiff. She let out a fake breath before she called out the door, her voice light and charming, her old personality shining through, “Don’t worry, Love. I don’t bite...much.”

Quindaro:
"Oh, well London will do that to you, don't worry though, I'm very patient." He gave the man a smile before placing the tophat back upon his head. When he then described the situation, Quin smiled as the door was opened. "Let us make haste then!" He promptly boarded the vehicle and sat across from the strange veiled beauty in the back.

What she said was peculiar, something about her choice of words stood out, though he maintained his grin. "Hmm.. not much of a biter, hm? That puts me at ease, though I like things a bit feisty sometimes." He said before replacing the pipe in his mouth. "So Miss Haven, I assume you're also with the ministry supposed response team?" He asked as the smoke trickled from his nose.

Jinx:
Birmingham shut the door promptly behind Mr. Redmire and got back to his task of transportation. Jinx eyed the young man calmly as he entered the cab. He was handsome, looked like he knew it, but there was a certain charm about his demeanor. She smiled lightly at his feisty comment before she adjusted her legs, listening politely to his question, “Yes. I was contacted by the Ministry in hopes of aiding the country with my....unorthodox skillset. Surprised the bloody government would have been paying attention, to be honest. You're originally from London?”

Quindaro:
The woman emitted a strange aura as she spoke. He wondered what other threats lie out there that the government would have to do this, but here were two of them. "Dartford, outside London. I'm the team's mechanic, gunsmith, and present alchemist." He took his pipe from his lips as he heard the voices start to eerily creep in. Often beckoning him to open the abyss in some way. "How 'bout you? Where you from originally?"

Jinx:
Jinx raised her eyebrows, "Alchemy...Interesting. Some would say..that work like that is specialized for fools willing to try the impossible. But I guess you wouldn’t be sitting in this car if you didn’t have some use.”

She paused wondering how much she should tell, “I’m from York. I’ve been in New Orleans though, over in the Colonies for a few years since my...accident. I used to roam around as a Medium before then, so I suppose you could call me a translator for the group, or a good shyster, as the papers once did.”

She smiled lightly, “That was quite some time ago though, I am newly retired. Work just took the life right out of me. ”

She let out a dark laugh, “Sorry. I forgot myself. Have you met Mr. Weisskampf before?”

Quindaro:
He felt the dark laugh and gave a chuckle, he had the feeling something greater was up with her, though he couldn't pinpoint it. This woman perhaps has been through a bit more than she led onto, maybe to do with this accident? Then he heard the voices, they were louder, though still indistinct, it was still the same eldritch language that he never understood. Taking a small breath, he looked to where her eyes would be behind her the cloth that blocked her visage from the world.

"Can't say I have met him, I've only corresponded through post over the past few months." He said giving her his best smile. "Do you know him at all?" He said replacing the pipe between his lips.

Jinx:
Jinx shook her head softly, "No. I've heard of his name over time in the higher circles, but he never usually makes a public appearance. I was slightly surprised his resources were able to find me. I had thought I kept to myself quite well in the bayou...well to myself and Esmeralda."
At the mention of her small capuchin squeaked and scuttered past Jinx to sit beside Quindaro, lifting her paw up to his pipe. Jinx watched the monkey quietly, “Sorry…she’s a smoker. I am trying to break her of the HAAA…”
Suddenly the car turned quickly, hitting a pothole. Jinx fell forward, her sleeve rolling up slightly as she adjusted herself revealing a small sliver of blueish white skin. Mr. Birmingham piped in, “Sorry…Miss. These streets need some repairs.”
She ripped her arm back quickly, her voice cold, “It’s fine. Just be more careful. So…Mr. Redmire, do you know who we will be picking up?”

Quindaro:
He was genuinely surprised to see the little capuchin, though he merely just looked down at her as she gestured to his pipe. "Hmm?" He said turning his attention back to Miss Haven, he knew that monkey's could smoke, but before he could give it another thought there was a sudden shake as they hit the pothole. He took hold of the side of the vehicle and a hold of his hat as they shifted around violently for the brief moment. He caught a glimpse of her arm, the skin was discolored and looked cold. Though he didn't linger on it too long as he redirected his attention to their driver then back to Miss Haven as she went back to the conversation at hand, asking him about the next person. "Everything about this ministry has been very vague. Whenever it came to any details, they always outlined it, but never told directly. As to our colleagues I was only told that there was four total, other than that, I'm pretty much in the dark about who's on the team."

Jinx:
Jinx nodded, feeling as though she had procured the information she needed. She didn't know what to think of Mr Quindaro but she felt as a person he was alright. She was about to answer him when the car pulled over to the side of the road and Birmingham spoke up," Alright! Miss Nyaga should be out shortly!"
Jinx's head shot up instantly,"Nyaga?!?!"
Need another salty dog? If so I'm in.
I would definitely be interested
I would definitely be interested!
Greetings everyone! The goggled, coffee drinking, machine tinkering, hooman has come aboard! Seeing as my old abode of play had burned to the ground, I was forced to roam the interweb wasteland. I had lost my interest for a time after having a few other forums collapse; ultimately separating people, and losing friends. Then I looked back upon my joyous sessions within the realms of D&D, and a certain craving came back... I resumed my journey and scoured to the wasteland once more...
Tonight, I have found refuge.

Experience-wise, I've been role playing for four years. As for characters I have a few personas that stand in for the role that I generally like to play. I love the stories of average people doing extraordinary things; Whether it's on a personal level all the way to a galactic level. I also enjoy playing the occasional villain that isn't quite your enemy, but rather just a pest that puts chinks into the hero's plan and banters with the protagonist, as if just out of needing something interesting to do rather than what they were doing.

I have many ideas for scenarios all the way to my grand scale idea. So if you have any questions, you need only inquire me.

As for some bio tidbits:
My timezone is CST, specifically I hail from the fields of Kansas. A state devoid of snow before X-Mas. To be frank... it's getting on my nerves that it's not even freezing half the time. That aside, in my spare time I play games, write (obviously), sketch, working on my imperial guardsman costume for a convention and practice with my throwing knives. If there's anything else you'd like to inquire [that isn't about if we have a yellow brick road], please ask away!

I look forward to the future with you all!
