Personality: quiet, quiet would be the best term to describe Nero besides the word cold. Nero is not what you would call the life of the party, nor does he really want to be. Nero is a loner by nature, and he does not easily make connections with others. He chooses to be alone because he believes that he is incapable of really having or keeping friends. On the outside he is like a rock, he hardly shows his emotions and is very calm in intense situations. On the inside however he has a nice side, but he rarely shows it to anyone for he is afraid to let that side of himself be seen. Sarcastic by nature every word he might say is usually sarcastic with a hint of humor in it. He does not care much for know it alls, and despises those who act ignorant or fail to grasp reality. He does not believe in dream worlds where everything is always ok, and he ridicules anyone who does. However these personality quirks Nero is a rough yet gentle person who does care even if he does not show it often, and is a great friend to anyone who can break through his rocky outer shell. He is extremely loyal to those he cares about, and would protect them with his life if it came down to it, he has no fear of dieing and he does not fear pain either.

History: Nero does not talk about his past much to any really, his entire life has sort of been what you would call a black shroud pulled over everyone's eye's. He is a secretive and secluded man who prefers to not go into details. (I will input all his history into the RP then update this periodically)

As for the Apocalypse Nero was part of a detachment to a Military controlled safe zone when the infected went completely viral, he was part of the effort to protect the camps from the overwhelming Walkers that were devouring everything. The events are unclear, but the camp Nero was at was over run and the entire facility was destroyed by the walkers and everyone in it dead. Nero himself was one of the only survivors of the refugee Camp, having survived the ordeal he went on the road and has been traveling ever sense looked for a place where there could possibly be protection but with no luck. Through bad or worse he diverted southward and traveled to Louisiana for his own reasons.

† Hello and Welcome to The Walking Dead: Desperation my newest spin off roleplay of Walking Dead.†

Lets get some general info in and out of the way so we can get down to some serious roleplaying here. First and foremost as stated above it has now been four years solid of grueling survival against these living dead atrocity's. The stakes are high and more and more people are dieing everyday because of it. Desperation is very rampant as supplies are dwindling and ammunition is becoming more and more scarce to fight the Walking Dead. You of course are one of the few survivors left who are trying to survive for whatever reason that you find most dear to you. This particular spin off roleplay will be taking place deep in Southern Louisiana, particularly around a small town named Jordan Hill population in the real world being 211 people. In this roleplay you will be making all the decisions on who and what you are going to be, and the way you treat others and portray yourself will be the determination of how long you survive. Will you band together or will you refuse to work with others? Will you help people or will you try to kill them? Have you forsaken yourself or do you hold onto your humanity, this is all for you to decide as you enter Walking Dead: Desperation.

Ok guys I will clear this up, I was vague when I put in my family heirloom items. The weapons he has now are in fact similar to his family's heirlooms however they are no where near the same. They can mimic certain aspects but they are nothing like the family heirlooms. He does know what they look like because his father whom he seen rarely was the one who wielded the heirlooms before he died. Armendir does not have them, or does he know where they went since his father died, I wanted to describe the weapons so if the time came in the RP for him to obtain them you would know. But in hindsight I should have stated they were not the real ones an I apologize for the confusion, and I hope this clears up the conversation.

Armendur Theme Song

Armendir stood silently with his arms crossed upon his chest as he watched the sun slowly rise into the sky, no one really knew but the young wood elf enjoyed watching the sun rise in the morning. It was one thing since he was a small child that he often had done when everyone else was asleep, being and Elf it was not general knowledge, but Elven people slept very little a lot of the time, only needing a couple hours of sleep to be fully rested compared to a normal humans eight hours. Sometimes Armendir imagined himself somewhere far away, in a deep wooded area, standing in some green meadow watching the sun rise in the sky. Armendir had never known his true home, he had been taken as an infant into the Knighthood what seemed like so many years ago now, a lot of the time he could see images in his head of his home, but often he did not know if it was glimpse as a child of his home or merely made up images of what he thought it might be. While he did not regret being here now, deep down inside Armendir did feel a small regret never knowing his own people. But he would Honor them always even if he never knew them, and the place in which he was born, for forgetting where you come from and forsaking yourself is a road which can only lead to destruction.

In a way the sun rising in the sky was a reminder to Armendir, that the real reason he was here right now where he stood, was to be one of the protectors of not only his homeland but the beauty that still existed in this world. That is why he held no regrets for being here now, because if evil were to come back to this world with its darkness, then he would stand in its way and every breath he would take would be to ex spell it back to the shadows. Armendir thought back to when he was young, and recalled the last words his father had told him one of the rare times he was able to speak to his father, whom had been a Knight himself, before his sudden passing.

"Son I don't expect you understand everything in the world, for you are still young, this world is full of hatred and evil, people who would hurt others and take lives merely because they can. As you grow into a Knight, you like I did at your age will come to know the pain that is when you first see it. No matter how much we can control our emotions, some day they will come out, and when that day comes I can only hope your ready to face that pain. An if there is anything that I want you to remember my son, it is that you must never forsake yourself or the Honor which has been imbued in you from birth. For if you forsake yourself it is a dark and lonely road ahead, and can only lead to destruction. Your life is meant to be a guiding light, like all life that is brought into this world, and one day you will come to that crossroad and you will decide if you would forsake yourself and your comrades, or be that light in the dark."

Armendir did not understand what his father meant back then, and maybe he still did not now, but he did understand what his father meant by not forsaking yourself, and Armendir truly hoped that if a time ever did come when he might forsake himself, that his fathers words would never be forgotten in the darkness of the world, drowned out by such pain. Looking down below at the town below, the many various people were already appearing out in the square, setting up shops, getting ready to serve breakfast, very soon Armendir's comrades would be getting up soon. Jumping down off the stone edge over looking the town Armendir made his way down back into the castle and then down to the room where his bed lay. Opening the door Armendir was instantly smacked in the face with a pillow, the scene that unfolded after this was quite the spectacle to see to be sure. The many men and woman were in and uproar trying to get rid of a Silver falcon that was going rampant around the room, Armendir merely shook his head as he made his way into the room and maneuvered his way around the men trying to get the Falcon. Reaching his bed one of the men finally did manage to subdue it, but it lasted not even a couple seconds before the bird busted from the bad in a fury of feathers.

"How do you think we get that? I don't want to hurt it."

Armendir averted his Elven eye's to the Falcon still perched on the windowsill glaring menacingly at the other recruits after their round with the bird and noticed that alas there was a note attached to the birds leg, obviously it would be meant for them to obtain, which would be no mere cake walk now given the uproar that had just happened. Stepping forward Armendir positioned himself near the windowsill and spoke in a deep but clear voice.

"Let me try, I think that bird probably hates you all right now after what you just did."

Armendir slowly raised two fingers to his lips and then started to blow, a whistle came from his fingers and mouth as he whistled toawrds the bird, it was an old Elven technique that was meant to calm down aggravated animals, hopefully the Falcon would find calmness and come down. Putting his arm out slowly with the black leather bracer facing the bird Armendir blew more notes to try and coax it to his arm.
I am really into those types of ideals, things having a lot of meaning not just random things thrown together for the heck. It is why I love the Elven culture, and chose and Elven race as my character, my real taste coming from Lord of the Rings. How they were not just known for their abilities in combat, but also for the ages of culture that they brought with them, the deepness of every Elven man and woman, always a story behind them. An like the Elven race everything about him is steeped in deep tradition and honor just like his race.

Personality: Like most of his kind Armendir is endowed with an innate ability to stifle if not completely ignore his emotions all together. This can make him seem very cold to others, but it also makes him impossible to manipulate. With a stead fast way of thinking Armendir is fearless in a lot of respects and will likely be the first to go into battle when the time calls. But unlike most of his kind Armendir cares deeply for the men and woman who stand beside him in battle and out of battle even if he does not show it physically. He would die for them if the time called for it, and he do it gladly without hesitation. On a lighter side Armendir can be how do you say slightly awkward when it comes to social situations. In other words finding him in a pub is not a very common thing, and if you do it was probably because he was dragged there by someone else. Like most of his kind Armendir does not nor can he show affection like humans or other races, so most times the way he does can be viewed at as insulting or worse. In the end Armendir is extremely loyal, his loyalty's are deep set and uncorruptable, he is the greatest ally to have in battle even if not in the party afterwards and a fierce friend.



Backstory: Armendir never knew his home but he knows that he comes from a large settlement in the Westlands. Born with an innate ability to use bows Armendir is considered an elven prophecy, if you believed in such things. In his culture Armendir was consider almost like a treasure being his parents were both young members of the Elven council, on his taking into the knights the many people of his city thought this treasonous. But being Born into the lineage of the Knights, Armendir was of course taken from his home as a very young child and he was trained. Armendir's father and mother died very young in Elven years, so Armendir by all rights is the pride of his family line and also the very last of his family, and is charged with ensuring that his blood line continues on through his own children one day. Now Armendir constantly hones his skills with not only the bow, but the blade, his dedication remains with both the Knights and his homeland which he never knew, and his aspirations being one day he can visit his homeland just one time.

Knight's Raiment: Its is important to note that Armendirs Raiment is a set of armor and weapons that were passed down from father to son for many a year. This particular set of raiment can never be used by anyone not of Armendirs bloodline including his weapons.The magical property's imbued into his Raiment would just make anyone not of his bloodline sluggish, weak, and just a complete utter useless sog until it is taken off or dropped. The effects are immediate and last as long as you hold or equip his Raiment, and then slowly wears off when you drop it.



Skills:

Ancient scripture: Armendir has a special ability one in which has found him invaluable when traveling to ancient lands if the time calls for it. Armendir is born with a natural ability to look at ancient scripture and analyze it then read with it with little to no effort. It is unknown how this is possible at least by human standards. But there is a tail in Elvish culture that speaks of a child being born every 1000 years who has this particular ability. This is the only known explanation for this ability and the one that is mostly widely accepted by others.

Cooking: Like most of his kind Armendir is good at cooking, an ability which is very useful if out in the country side where finding normal ingredients are next to impossible. Armendir has a great knowledge of plants, and where to find them plus wild life that may be in the area. All of which are useful if you are running low on food and need something safe to eat at a moments notice. This skill also contributes to another skill which Armendir is special in.

Herbalism: Armendir has a very wide knowledge of plants which contributes to the fact that he also knows the same components which can be the healing effects that certain plants can have on certain wounds. This make him invaluable in a battle, with his natural Elven medical skills, he can take it a step further and make remedies which can be the difference between life and death for comrades.

Weapon special: Bow: Armendir is an expert with bow type weapons, he can use from short bow to long bow with deadly precision. He is able to make long shots and also a more rare shot where he can use multiple arrows up to three or four in one shot and spread them out to hit enemies that are coming in a line. His bow is merely and extension of his arm.

Weapon special: Sword: Armendir is a sword expert, while in reality his sword skills pale in comparison to his Bow skills, he is an formidable foe when it comes to different sword styles. He mainly uses long sword and is actually more or less restricted to long sword in the long run, his knowledge of other blade types is lacking which can be a bad thing and a good thing in some cases.

Magistra:

Healing Hands: Healing hands is a particular useful magical ability which make Armendir able to heal different types of wounds and in special cases can also cure someone of poison that has been put into their body. This ability however does come with a cost, and that is the fact that the larger or worse the wound is, the more energy magical wise that he will have to use to heal the wound. The effects of this spell can lead to dangerously low amounts of energy both magically and physically, in the worse case scenario, his inability to fight in battle until his energy regains.

Piercing Veil: This is the second and only know magical ability that Armendir has, this ability allows him to imbue a small to large portion of his own magical energy into the arrows he uses with his special family line bow. The shot in comparison to a normal shot is twenty times more lethal, and this ability allows Armendir to pierce many type of armor with little effort with his arrows. However like Healing Hands this ability is also very costly in a battle, Armendir depending on the amount of magical energy he uses will be weakened every time he uses this ability and the same effects will apply like in healings hands. Which in the end makes this magical ability deadly but also one that can not always be used or used a lot in one setting.
