Megumi stared at him for a long moment before speaking. "If I were closed minded, I would have replied with yes and angrily hit you until I was satisfied. But I'm not, and I suppose we were all reckless in a way, but the blame would be on his own pride... Just... Never mind." She let out a small huff as she entered the room. "You don't have to show your concern or curiosity, even if it's fake."

The young girl turned around and placed a hand on the door. "I'm going to rest, only pester me when necessary." With that said, she closed the door on him and shuffled over to the bed where she would simply collapse and sigh into the clean sheets. She removed her bun and let her red hair fall onto her back. Ever so slowly, she eased herself underneath the sheets where she would curl up and simply lay. "Who would have thought that the first time I would be seen without my brother is during the apocalypse..." Megumi let out a small grunt as she pulled the sheets over her head.

"You didn't have to bring the dog all the way over here..." Megumi murmured. She held the rope in one hand while the other hovered over the belly of the wrinkly canine. She turned her head away and shut her eyes tight as she finally had enough vigor to place her hand on the animal's belly.

"Oh..." Megumi cooed. She turned back around and let out a small sigh of relief as she rubbed its belly. The dog seemed to be enjoying itself, what with its wagging rump and sleepy gaze. "Cute."

"Eh?" The young girl raised her head and looked over at Daisuke. "I guess it was luck as well. We ran from the roof and raided several classrooms before actually leaving. If you hadn't arrived then, our efforts would have been for naught." When she dwelled back in her thoughts of the school she had remembered her brother whom she left back at the wretched building. It was just Megumi now. Her father wouldn't be there, in fact he wouldn't even be in Japan right now if he fled the manor in time. This is what karma was serving her... Megumi leaned forward and tossed the rope to the side so that she was able to run her hands through her hair in a frustrated manner. "It's alright now I guess... I don't need another pair of clothes. One more question; will I be sleeping on the couch?"

Megumi entered the household and removed her shoes. She set them down beside the door along with her duffel bag. The young girl 's eyes slowly trailed down the next addition of the Okomura family. "Is that so..." Megumi murmured. She twirled the ends of her bangs in her fingers and simply nodded her head, uttering a thank you to the girl's comment.

This family was rather energetic and optimistic, even with the thought of impending doom. She didn't know whether or not she would like this place, yet it didn't matter since she would at least have somewhere to stay for the night. For now, Megumi remained friendly and neutral towards Aki's family.

She strolled over to the couch and sat down in the middle with her hands on her lap. "Your home is very quaint." Megumi commented, her eyes glancing around at all of the furniture and toys. "Dog toys...? Where is your dog?" She raised an eyebrow in confusion. Megumi had never met a dog face to face, the Hazekage family had only ever owned felines, so seeing a canine for the first time would be a nice experience. "How did you all survive the undead?"

Megumi had almost chuckled, yet kept her cool as her brother explained the story with the condom. "Heh... Er, driving me to my home would be very much appreciated, however I doubt anyone would still be in it, I mean they would only stay if they were stupid enough."

She brushed her bangs to the side of her face and exited the vehicle to stare directly at the their mother. "Ah..." Megumi didn't know what to make out of this, however she simply cleared her throat and went along with it. "It's a pleasure to meet you, Mrs. Okomura. I'm Megumi Hazekage, and I would like to thank you for letting me stay at your home for the night." The young girl approached the mother and clasped her hands together, using her charm to grow a trust between the mother and she. Megumi had went through many mannerism courses, so this was just a refresher. "I hope my presence here will not be a burden to your family." She bowed her head down politely. "Thank you again."

She couldn't act cold to the people who gave her temporary roofing. And besides, one must always respect their elders. Though she was ruthless, she wasn't heartless.
