Hmm, personally I'm not too fond of including Branded.
I suppose I'd be okay with Branded existing in the world as NPC (as pointless as that seems) but every FERP I've participated in has been overrun with Branded and Myrms and it gets really boring. Even with limited spots, I don't agree with the first-come approach. I suppose I'd be okay with a Beorc character that's privately negotiated to be a Branded and not known to fellow players, but otherwise... ehhh.

If we want to do the whole persecution thing, I'd much rather see it incorporated as Laguz being seen as inferior by humans, and laguz tribes holding certain attitudes towards one another.

Branded are setup in a way that's a bit too Mary Sueish for my liking, just my preference. It's not a dealbreaker for me, but personally I'd prefer them omitted. I'm aware that this is going to be based on FE, but I'd prefer the RP not copy/paste the FE lore/setting of the GC/Wii installation.

As for Laguz types?
I sort of think it'd be better to remove all original Laguz tribes, and have players contribute their own set of Laguz. For example Dragon Laguz might be completel omitted if no one wants to play one. Whereas a rabbit Laguz could be incorporated instead if there's a keen player. Laguz tribes can be fun, as long as it doesn't become obsolete clutter.
Going to keep an eye on this since it's been ages since I've partaken in a FE-roleplay, never mind worldbuilding for one. xD

I think the setup should be based on what sort of roleplay you're aiming for.
For example a kingdom/nation based roleplay would differ greatly from the setup of an RP where the characters would play the role of a wandering band of heroes. The setup would equally need to be changed if you intended to have all the players play on the side of one of your aforementioned kingdoms.

Personally I think it'd be better to have 3~4 kingdoms so that you can play with the political aspect of things as well. It might be a bit harder to control, but it adds an extra dimension to the roleplay, and prevents every character expressing the "I hate the other kingdom" trait. It's a good trait to have, don't get me wrong. But when you have a dozen characters all going "Grrr, my kingdom's better" it gets a bit tiring. If a third kingdom is added, it could be minor and not directly involved in any fighting.

Additionally/Alternatively I also like the idea of incorporating a few tribes into the middle region which could be a variety of biomes. Desert, Forest, Plains, Swamps, etc. In regards to manakete's... they'll probably need to be toned down, unless someone wants to play a 'civilian' character who normally has no combat capabilities (But can transform in dire situations, though with severe drawbacks). The idea of letting them transform at will, or letting them go SuperSaiyan (I'm nearly dead... POWERBOOST!) will probably detract more than it'll add. I personally prefer a more Laguz approach in terms of power levels.

I'm not sure if you intended to have some sort of 'unknown enemy' coming from the far north, but I personally think it'd be interesting to have them come from the middle in overwhelming numbers, threatening border control, and screwing over road access between settlements.
(Again, this would depend on the plot setup you want, it'd also be interesting if characters were forced to be part of the North, and then have to fight off an unknown enemy from the North, and an opportunistic South army).

As for overall lore? I'd personally like to see something revolving around racist persecution. Preferably with a 2nd or 3rd race. Humans are a given. But I think it could be interesting to include a race with elven characteristics, perhaps they had an expansive kingdom in the middle in ancient times, but they were wiped out, or invaded by an alliance of the north/south in an era only recorded in the dustiest of tomes?

Think I've ranted enough, so that's just some food for though xD
Well I suppose I could be interested in this?
Depends on the characters though since this looks more interaction-intensive than plotty.

Ah, well this isn't good >_<
I've had 'something' come up in real life, and I'm not entirely sure I'd be able to keep up with something that moves at this pace. (Normally it wouldn't be an issue, but the 'something' is ongoing and pretty time consuming.)

@my Lalia
I'm not completely sure, but I think it might be best for you to open up an extra Drakken slot to replace my withdrawal. I definitely can't post today/tomorrow, and possibly a few days after that. So if there's anyone you're able to drag into this as a Drakken I'd be happy to give up my spot for them.
If you can't find anyone for a few days... I'll try to clear some time, but I think the best result for me, the roleplay, and the patience of others it would be best.

Apologies >_<

<Snipped quote by agentmanatee>

That's a valid choosing. I vote trial by combat. Hopefully the future grooms will kill each other in the process. :3

Ehh, I'm not so sure :/
Wouldn't combat result in the RP being skewered into Drakken/Drakken interactions for the most part then? Combat-oriented scenes tend to take awhile, and Gemminites will pretty much be stuck standing around watching until a victor is declared. I suppose it could work with a few tweaks, but ehh, it'd have to be a few 'good' tweaks xD

I noticed the sarcasm, just wasn't sure if it applied to the first part of the post as well as the last xD

@Feisty-Pants
Well... at least there's no questioning whether I'm a guy or girl behind the screen? xD
Didn't even notice the smile
But yeah, I think the image is much better now, it's not like it took a genius to figure out the source character, but it saves me from running an extra search xD

-Female Drakken (Orior)
Zaerna's profile looks really interesting~
Actually think having a female Drakken could be really interesting, especially with her superiority complex. I can imagine quite a few 'lesser' Drakken women looking up to her as well. Nice character!

Though yeah, completely endorse the ruling of there only being one PC female Drakken.
A male Gemminite would be hilarious too I think, someone who was abducted for their pretty face, sold... and then discovered to be a guy. Possibly even one who'd been saying so all along and not being believed. Wouldn't make a very good bride, but every evil narcissist needs a personal shoe-shine boy~ ... right? xD

-Bitey Wives~
I'd guess that 'fighting back' in a literal sense would be downright suicidal. I do like the idea of them trying to outsmart their 'husbands' and being discontent expressively/internally is probably a given, but outright hostility? Ehhhh.

I don't know about the other Drakken players, but Sarek for one would need someone that's crafty, or at least be interesting enough for their acts to be perceived as amusing/cute. I suppose submissive works too, but not my primary preference since things would probably get boring. xD Again this is just my stance, and if you wanted someone that's constantly lashing out, I'm sure the other Drakken players wouldn't be as picky as me~

-My Character >_<
Haha, so much attention! I'm not sure if I should be worried or not xD
One thing that I'm actually really concerned about is how people will play out their Drakken characters. The focal point in the plot in the introduction seems to be Gemminites convincing their husbands to not go to war with their people.... but that's completely obsolete if the majority of Drakkens aren't pro-war, or at least undecided on the matter. I probably overdid it with Sarek, but I really hope the Drakken don't become dirt-mats the Gemminite females walk all over. >_<

Haha, healthy discussion is always good... but I'm not sure a conversation with Glee and HM could be considered 'healthy' :P

And pffft, your character is the worst of them all, I mean the character image is a breast shot! xD (Just kidding)
Not really complaining about the girls though, they might all look like supermodels but they're personalities and backgrounds are nothing alike from what I can tell.

As for what the kidnappers would take... I'm not sure.
I mean there might be some nobles who are into the less 'glamorous' types?
Sarek for one could easily have quite a bit of fun bullying a gloomy introverted nerd xD
In Delete 10 yrs ago Forum: Casual Roleplay
Wow, apparently my character's generating discussion, go me~ xD

Despite what I've written out, I don't really intend to play him as a complete douchebag, and being quite honest I am sort of hoping for a bit of a 'softening-up' to occur during the course of the roleplay. But I don't really intend to pull the typical 180* in personality.

For example I mentioned how he's an advocate of enslaving the Gemminities, that could be softened up into assimilating them as.... low-grade citizens? xD
I don't know, I don't want to play a guy that starts as an asshole, and remains completely unchanged throughout the entire course of the RP, but drastic change is ehh... lame?

On a different note, I'm sort of hoping for something a bit different from the girls in terms of figure xD
Busty models-like girls are great and all, but a bit of variety I think would be awesome. Someone; nerdy? Short? Less-busty? A bit older? etcetc. xD

Sarek Zagmar

Race:
Drakken
Age:
299
Element(s):
Fire
Wind
Height:
6’7”

Bio:
Arrogant, brazen and easily angered, the influential Zagmar ‘clan’ is renown amongst Drakken-kind for their arrogance and wealth, while they’re powerful fighters in their own right, they tend to favour causing their foes emotional anguish. A trait which unfortunately extends to the many Gemminite families who have had the lifeless bodies of their precious daughters sent back to them. Sarek in particular is known for being a lady killer… in a literal sense; with many surviving no more than a few days. He’s been a long-time advocate of enslaving the Gemminites, arguing that capture and ‘cultivation’ would be much more efficient than the current system of abduction. While many Drakken view the Gemminites as slaves, pets, or trophies, Sarek views them as objects; more specifically toys which can be discarded once broken. He has a tendency to perceive things from a cost/benefit approach and often ignores the morality of methods in favour of efficiency, and there is no benefit in keeping a ‘broken toy’ around.

Haha, looks like a few of us were thinking of something of a more anime design xD
