Yes, about 3 mermaid born mermaids who gain legs, instead of the other way around. It is also set on Mako.

Zac is a teenage boy who decides to camp on Mako Island, unaware that three mermaids, Sirena, Nixie (this is where I got my name from), and Lyla, who are guardians of the island, are watching him. That night, when the full moon rises, the boy comes into contact with the magic water of the Moon Pool. The following morning, Zac discovers that he has the ability to control and manipulate water. Later, after accidentally falling into the water, he finds that he has also become a merman with a fish-like tail. His new-found merman abilities will cause problems for the mermaids.

The three mermaids, curious about living on land and motivated to remove Zac's merman powers, venture onto the land and learn to live among humans.

We have 2 spots open. Depending on how things go, in the future, I might open more spots.

People who are approved can have up to 2 characters at this point. As a GM, I might end up with 2 or 3 main characters, but I only plan on the one girl for now and perhaps a male a little later.

So far we seem to have 3 LGBT females(1 bi, 2 lesbian), 1 straight female and 2 straight male. Things are going to be very interesting.

So far people are wearing the

3 Blue (LGBT)

4 Green (Single)

2 Yellow (It's complicated)

(and a NPC who wears yellow)

Does the writing sample have to be something relating to this particular character? Or can it be from any current RP I'm in?

It is just to see what your writing style is like. I don't ask of one from people I already RP with or if they don't have a sample (such as a new member)
I've never turned anyone down before based on their sample, but I like seeing examples of people's writing nonetheless!

Yeah I know, that is the first thing that came to mind as I made the character. Batteries exist so I don't think it will even be a problem and on top of that the infected will be all over them for the most part so she won't have much time to try to snap a photo.

I think the part where you mention the "Charger" made me think about electricity and the lack of it in most places. But batteries make sense.

I suppose I could come up with a male character instead for diversity purposes. Would there be rules against people coming into the bar who have already been drinking or on drugs? (Since they don't sell that kind of stuff in this place)

You can make a male if you want, but it is really up to you. As for the being on drugs/drunk (Big Bob would most likely not let you in because Mingle is strict about who it lets inside. But if you think you can slip past the big bouncer, you can sure try.

Don't forget everyone can have more than one character if you want. More girls the merrier though.

I think it is fine. Approved. But keep in mind the chances of finding places to charge a computer/camera will be low. There are still places with backup generators and solar powered, but they will not always be available.
