I'm getting so bored. Why is it that nobody wants to talk to me? Do I really look like a fifteen year old? Maybe they all think I'm jail bait, the 19 year old thought with a frustrated sigh. It was her fault, too. She had not got the nerve up to talk to anyone but Saddie and Windy, but they worked behind the counter, so really... talking to them did not count. They were super nice though and not so much older than her. Ashley spun around in her spinny seat, ears perking up when she heard someone next to her ask for a strawberry and banana smoothie.

She usually had the plain strawberry kind because she liked to stick to the things she knew she loved. She wasn't that fond of bananas anyway. But she was dying to make conversation, even ones that started up over a banana. Ashley glanced beside her and looked at the girl Saddie was currently serving. She smiled, but then blushed, wondering if she looked like a weirdo. Subconsciously she reached up and readjusted her pink headband.

"How much does the banana flavor stand out when you mix it with strawberry?" Ashley finally got up the nerve to ask. She picked up her very pink drink and took a sip, before allowing her eyes to slide over the woman next to her. She was attractive. slim and had very striking greenish eyes. Her hair was what really caught Ashley's attention. She had curly brunette hair; Ashely adored brunette hair and especially curly hair. Her own hair was so blonde that it looked white.

"Oh sorry. Awkward stranger trying to make small talk." She hugged her purse close to her front and glanced away from the brunette so she would not make the other uncomfortable. "So why did you come here? I mean... everyone has a reason for coming to a place like Mingle, right?" She fumbled in her purse and pulled out her tube of chap stick, just for something to do with her hands. As she brought her hand up to put the gloss on her lips, her blue and green glow stick stood out. Realizing this, she quickly lowered her hand and tried to subtly glance at the woman's glow sticks.

Ah. Interesting. The exact same glow sticks as she had. Not that that really meant anything. It was at least nice that she wasn't the only one wearing the combination of blue and green.

I drew a crude map. This is where everything is in the town they are currently in. Most of the original townspeople worked for farmers or did a lot of traveling to nearby larger towns to work. There is not much to the town. The cornfield is outside the farm's fence because it was a later addition to the farm. The farmer was too lazy and cheap to add onto the fence.

I vote turning upon death, too. Looks like we'll be seeing Maria again.

Not likely if she shot herself in her mouth. Her head is probably splattered. We shall see!
I think most people have picked this up by now, they are nowhere near LA anymore. (LA is a big city) The characters have made their way to a much smaller, more country town.

The fictional town is called Karn (I named it that in one of my posts)

It is surrounded by woods. There is a farm not too far from the town. (the farm is technically part of Karn, but further away from everything)

There is a cornfield next to the farm. If I could, I'd draw a map for you. You can't see the farm or the cornfield from the town. You have to go through a path in the forest. The path is a dirt road wide enough for a tractor, cars, trucks and such.
-Olivia and Rena-

Olivia looked around them with wide eyes. She had started with just her and Mercy running off and now there was a huge group of people. She looked around, making sure they were safe for the moment. The glass doors of the store front was holding, but just barely and the undead she could see yards ahead of them did not seem to notice them. That was the only good thing about them; they were really stupid, unless you were dealing with the fast kind or the canine type. She looked at the last undead that had been killed. It had been killed by some strange girl who had been hiding up in a tree. Not only that the person the tree girl had saved was another stranger. A very odd stranger at that. What kind of clothes was she wearing?

She may be thirteen, but Olivia knew a thing or two about the world before the outbreak. This woman looked like some sort of street walker. At least her mouth covering would protect her from undead fluids. Then before she could even wrap her head around the two new people, there was two more, not to mention the guy who had been with the woman and the man they freed from in the store.

Olivia stepped closer to Mercy, putting her hand on top of hers. She felt a vibe from this new couple; they were not to be taken lightly. The man wearing metal knuckle gloves actually scared her. The one who had spoken did not seem that bad, but there was something about him as well. The only thing that was for sure was that they were related. They looked like brothers, but the smaller one had a more gentle look about his face. The larger one looked harsh, cold. His eyes were void of emotion or so it seemed.

"Uh... Mercy's right," Olivia said, not sure the new people had heard her. "We should go quickly. Those undead are going to notice us soon."

"Plus there is a horde of them over by the houses," one of the new girls added. "I'm Rena by the way." Rena pointed up at the tree. "I saw everything from up there. The street over by the houses are filled with undead, with at least 3 fast ones."

"W-what about the others....?"

"I saw a man and a woman running into a house, they collided with another man. Older guy. There was also a Hispanic girl, but she shot herself after being surrounded," Rena interrupted, having a good guess at what the little girl was going to say. "Our chances of getting back to them are really slim. That horde will be here soon and those lazy undead over there will follow them." That was how the undead worked. Something had caused the undead to come together and storm the town.

It had most likely been the gunshots from before. That was why shooting was a last resort.

"No time for pleasantries," Rena yelled, pushing on Blue and pointing down the road. The horde was a lot faster than she had expected. "Go. Go. Go." She grabbed Blue's hand out of instinct and pulled on her.

"The forest," the man from inside the store yelled. "That way," he pointed left of them away from the crazed horde. "The path is clear."

Were they escaping the frying pan only to land in fire?

.Vote for turning when you die >.>

I also vote for turning when you die. It makes things more dangerous and interesting.
I have not thought about the undead thing. Let's see if others want to chime in.

Should this do it the Walking Dead way (If you die, you turn regardless if you were attacked by an undead) or not?

I'll let whoever wants to vote, vote. It can work either way.

Sorry for the crappy intro, I've been sick and my minds kinda foggy. So if you don't like something I shall attempt to change something xD but bleeeeh I hate being sick! So many meds taken in the pass three days >.<

I understand. I get sick quite a lot. But your post was not crappy. I know he is wearing gloves with metal on his knuckles, but he is rather brave to be punching the undead like that. Even a small amount of undead "matter" getting into an open wound would turn him. He seems the type who would have a lot of wounds too if he fights and actually kills alive people (because they would fight back in any manner possible, I would think.)

No killing our main characters or other people's NPCs. Bad boy!

The post was really good though. I'm sorry you're sick.
