Well we don't have to be realistic. Besides they are not staying at the farm forever. Trying to be too realistic will give everyone headaches.
Not that kind of time out. You can't get out of your posting duties that easily.
Both of you need a time out.

Also, where is that little girl from? Cute.

It may not be moving at a fast clip, but I don't think it's dead either. I usually give a group RP over a week to truly be done for.

I'm still here. Will be posting for Alice when a couple more people get the chance to post. ;)

Well that or fill a bucket full of water and use that as a flush like thing by pouring it down until all the nasty stuff is gone. I think I had to do it once or twice when something went wrong with our bathroom. We could just do all of it to make it more survivor like, if we use it is a another matter because who is to say we will be there long enough to use any of it.

Yeah we won't be here forever. Just long enough for people to start and feel comfy and then BANG!
Use your imagination and think that this is a flat map of the area. This is fiction so everything does not need to be realistic (as posted above by various people) but here is where everything of importance is. (Gah I really suck at maps)

Rule breakers. All of you! No chocolate for you.

I don't really care about the specifics xD as far as I know it takes a few years before pipes break down (well unless they get nuked or blown up like some end of the world scenarios). Not sure of the plumbing company but eh xD details *shrugs*

My brain just thinking about these little details after coming off of a 24 hour sleep. I apparently needed to catch up on a lot of sleep after being insomnia-fied.

I wonder why it wouldn't. When a zombie break out happens people don't think turn off the water or say stop the plumbing, save the precious water before all the zombies get us. Does the plumbing shake in fear until it breaks? If the place was abandoned then OK but if it was being used recently why would the plumb cease. Water is no longer being used at a high rate so even if it doe stop there should be plenty of water for the next knows how long. I guess the farm house could have its own set up, I don't remember how but I know I have seen it at least once, I think someone in my family has a farm or did. it was a long time ago. Also that was the place I ran through the cornfields in when I was a child. In the end it does not need to make sense.:/

I'm thinking of the water company end and how long that would take for the equipment to break down with no regular maintenance.

But I guess you are right, it does not need to make 100% sense unless someone is OCD about it. lol
I've been asked some specifics on what is on this farm. So I've made up a list to help people.
Buildings:
Main house (see picture I posted earlier),
shed for tools,
barn (Has six stables, room for storage and animal supplies)
Large chicken coop,
grainery,
2 towers for storing corn,
two outhouses

Animals:
20 Chickens (undead have not got inside chicken coop because of the heavy duty wire mesh covering and it's locked down pretty well to protect from wolves) They breed the chickens for food and for their eggs.

2 horses inside barn (they have their own stables)
1 cow (In stable in the barn)
Several stray cats (my still be alive)
Several inside house cats (My still be alive)
Several inside house dogs (May still be alive)
Fish (inside the pond)
Other typical wildlife found near woods, ponds and farms. (Frogs, insects, snakes, rabbits, rats, and such, wolves, coyotes, owls, birds)

Behind the house is several large crops of various types, the two grain towers for storing the corn and grainery. In front of the house is the pond, well and water pump.

To the left of the house is the cornfield. To the right is the barn, chicken coop, tool shed and outhouses.

They have 2 tractors and two pick up trucks and one car on the property.

The tool shed has all their farming tools, and other various things they'd need.

(Can anyone explain to me how during a zombie outbreak that the inside plumbing would still be able to work because I know all our characters are dying for a shower! The electricity works because the farm has converted over to mostly solar power and has back up power generators.

I'm no expert on farm living or anything so don't expect it all to be 100% realistic. This is fiction, after all. *bows out* )
