Fire Shaping – Lyra’s power was originally meant purely for entertainment. With the help of her staff, she is able to conjure fire and shape into a form of anything she imagines. Ever since she got imprisoned, she figured out some ways to use her power in offence, the simplest of those being shooting fireballs at people.
Personality:
Lyra is not a criminal, so she sort of resents other passengers on the ship. She is a very quiet and timid person and prefers to stay out of fights. She likes dancing and reading poetry, wandering through a jungle with a bunch of criminals isn’t really her thing.
She is very smart, but has a low self-esteem, always doubting herself. She is easily intimidated and unable to voice her opinion.
Bio:
Lyra grew up in one of Tulak’s smaller colonies. Like most of her kind, she had magic attunement, so ever since she was a little girl, she was trained in all the secrets of using magic. Her childhood couldn’t be happier, until it was abruptly ended when she was thirteen.
The settlement was invaded by a crime lord and even though the attackers were repelled, they managed to kidnap some of the citizens, including Lyra. They were all turned into slaves, some killed in the process, the rest sold to various buyers. Somewhere along the beating and torture Lyra’s original happy and outgoing personality disappeared completely, replaced by a quiet and timid one.
She was lucky the masters noticed her magical skills, which saved her from a fate of becoming a sex slave. She was turned into an entertainer instead, using her spells purely for others’ amusement.
One day the authorities stormed the slaver’s residence and arrested everyone on sight. Lyra even allowed herself to hope a little – perhaps finally she would be free to go back home. She could barely even remember it anymore. But instead she found herself on a ship full of the worst criminals in the galaxy, apparently charged with trafficking, slavery, and basically every crime her last master has done in the past years.
