Day Three (3) - A Goblin's Gotta Eat

Day Three (3) - Will Curiosity Kill the Goblin?

@TheForgottenArc Probs PG-16? I mean, I don't mind gore and things getting a bit graphic, but rape's a no-no in my book. Leave the sexual stuff in the PMs.

@Aristo Let's see if I can do something about that.
@Chiro I'm probably going for Humans, Fae, Orcs, Lizardfolk, and Beastfolk.

Uhm, probably doable, but some missions are gonna be about monster slaying, so yeah, probs gonna be an issue at one point.
@Aristo The words I used to describe it were "The story will focus on several missions, with longer and more detailed ones thrown in to move the plot forward."
@Sho Minazuki Well, the list I originally had involved Humans, Fae (Mix of Elves and Faires), Dwarves, Naga/Lizardfolk, Merfolk, Orcs, and Beastkin (Various Sub-races). But having 7 races to build on seemed too much for me, so I'll restrict playable classes to around 4.

@Heyitsjiwon Leaning towards monster-like, but I guess you could. Or maybe a Half-Orc? Not really human and not really an orc, but more to prove?

@Sho Minazuki Fantastical? Let's say larger-scale fights would be similar to Nanatsu in its early seasons. Probs similarly destructive but not as grandiose.

@AP Ottovan Won't be employing a detailed system. At best, it'll just be an explanation on what core magic is mainly used then a list of upgradable spells.
So far, tentative races would include Humans and Orcs/Half-Orcs
@Chiro@RumikoOhara@Sho Minazuki@TheForgottenArc@ProfessorLambo Coolio, peoples. Alright, just fixing up the playable races. Aside from Humans, any other humanoid you guys would wanna make available? Straying away from anything demonic/monster-like.
@Heyitsjiwon I'll wait for the others, or at least one more person to post. If I get neither, I'll hook you up with another update.

This story will be influenced by series such as Nanatsu no Taizai, Danmachi, Rising of the Shield Hero, Re: Monster, and Goblin Slayer. Themes would mainly be fantasy but with a dash of your standard anime/manga-like flare. The story will focus on several missions, with longer and more detailed ones thrown in to move the plot forward.

For as long as time could remember, the continent of Britannia was united under the prosperous rule of the Danafor Empire. However, over a millennium ago, when Cain Danafor took the throne, a reign of tyranny like no other, had begun. The young emperor abused and exploited his people, using the accursed Demon Clan to keep the population in line and crushed any who rose against him. So great was Danafor’s hubris, that he even challenged the gods, believing himself to be their better. His vile ways were not meant to last, for heroes arose from all over Britannia. Wielding ancient relics and all-powerful abilities, they each lead whole armies against the hordes of atrocities that had served Danafor. The eight heroes were:

Teucer, the Arrow of Certain Death;
Shingen, the Crimson Knight;
Kisha, the Grand Alchemist;
Ymir, the Bravest of the Heroes;
Serafina, the Master of a Thousand Spells;
Tyriel, Son of Heaven;
Bester, the Lion from the North; and
Solastas, the Dragon of the Rainbow

After a bloody struggle that lasted over many years, the heroes had finally broken through Danafor's defenses and forced him to a wall. Alas, despite their efforts, the heroes were robbed of their final triumph. The mad tyrant, loath to admit defeat, decided to destroy himself together with his empire instead, cursing the lands that stretched miles around it. With Cain Danafor defeated, the peace that many had given up their lives for, still did not return to Britannia. With their common enemy no more, the heroes turned to each other, establishing their own countries out of what was left from the fallen empire. A series of ever escalating wars were waged with the ambition to one day become the one true ruler of the entire continent.

As time passed, strife between the races became more frequent and violent. In the last war, a hundred-year feud that would later be referred to as the Great Britannian War, the world would come to an end. Each race suffered devastating losses and most of the world’s population was destroyed alongside its cities and monuments. But from the ashes of the old world, a new one would be reborn anew, ushering a new period of shaky peace after several lifetimes of conflict.

Cooperation between the races would become realized with the foundation of the Order of Holy Knights and the Adventurer’s Guild in Arcadia, a city in central Britannia that would become the first ever territory where all races would co-exist. Though peaceful cooperation still exists between the races, the peace is shaky at best. You will be playing as a member of one of the races, either an Adventurer or a Knight, living in Memorium several decades after the apocalypse the marked the end of the hundred-year war.
