Stop trying to meme your way out of not understanding what memes fundamentally are. :/

i don't even care what meme or non-meme you're talking about
you just said "what memes fundamentally are" completely seriously
<Snipped quote by Realmatic>

*Goes in behind you both*

*We walk through a relatively long corridor pulsing with a soft blue light that streaks across the walls; the streaks change every time they fade in and out* As I said, this is the most important tree of all. It is the heart of the city. *At the end of the corridor is a large, round, domed room with a large, blue, glowing orb in the centre* Don't touch it. You might get slightly shocked. *Tendrils of the same soft blue light snake from the orb into the floors and walls, making those streaks*
<Snipped quote by Realmatic>

Now I'm insulted... Kidding. But that's a really cool concept.

It is. It has good sides and bad sides—just like everything else in nature. You've got to use it right. We tapped into this network of trees. We gave them life and in return they gave us a home perfectly suited for our magic. Follow me in.
<Snipped quote by Realmatic>

*Chuckles*
Because trees have egos too?

Heh, not all of them. Granting sapience to beings that weren't already Tier 3 is something to be done rarely. All our trees just might, though.
<Snipped quote by Realmatic>

*Works my way over to you, leaping from my vine and landing next to you*

<Snipped quote by Heroic>

*Lands shortly after you do* This place really is amazing. Uncle, you said the trees make the buildings? Well, I think they all have minds of their own.

They do at that. And this one has the biggest—but don't tell it.
<Snipped quote by Realmatic>

Well, I guess that's all the time we have to discuss that right now. We'd better follow your uncle.
*Smiles and takes my vine, swinging away*

<Snipped quote by Heroic>

*Takes a deep breath and jumps, gripping the vine determinedly as I swing forward, following Martyn with practised ease while taking in the sights*

*Eventually lands on a platform that circles all the way around a massive tree with arches for openings on eight sides*
<Snipped quote by Efficacy>

Maybe so. But you don't have to be a kid to enjoy yourself. And one thing I've learned, is that when you're trying to save the world as you know it, the thing you want to do least is punish yourself on the road there.

-Aron- ... Hmm.
-*Swings back around and yells at us* Come on!
<Snipped quote by Legend>

No, no one's posted really. I thought Fridays were good days.

I'm out all day on most Fridays.
<Snipped quote by Realmatic>

It's a great place, just on the surface of it, at least. I love it.

I'm sure you'll keep that opinion. And we do strike that balance you mentioned—you'll see soon. We help the trees as much as they help us. Look: they already have vines for the three of us. *Vines have risen in front of the ledge* Follow me! And have fun! *Jumps over and catches one of the vines, swinging away*
<Snipped quote by Realmatic>

*Watches the base of some of the vines that people are swinging on*

*The vines seem to move somewhat on their own, moving before people start swinging, carrying them forward*

<Snipped quote by Realmatic>

It's—wow.

<Snipped quote by Efficacy>

I don't see many places like this. Most civilizations trade this for technological luxury. Which is fine, but balancing the two should be more important than it is.

Some would like to call this the City of Life, or the City of Light, or even City of Earth, since we are Earth Scribes. But they're all pretentious. This is the City of the Trees. They own it. All the buildings, all the bridges and the platforms and the hollows, they made it. We just live in it.
