Ariana jumped at the embrace, her nerves way on end. She was trying to calm her breathing by taking deep breaths but it was only helping a little. She uncovered her watery eyes and placed it on what she could of his arm. "Eres como tu padre," she choked out. After a moment, the dangerous electricity seemed to stop jumping through the air even if she was still a live wire. Tears started to stream down her cheeks while her blank eyes stared at the wall. "Am I hurting you?" She asked carefully, noticing how much electricity she was producing.
Z nodded in agreement, following next to Lukas. She felt her powers came easily to her due to having experience in her skill set. She had summoned Papa Legba at a young age to kill people, after all. But no one knew that other than her parents.
Ace led the three through a small hallway that opened up into a living-room sort of with a living room on one side and a large, high-tech computer set up on the other. There was a door set along the side with the computer, which appeared to be Ace's little corner from the clue of the identical glasses he was wearing placed on the oddly neat table top. The ginger pushed open the door on his side of the room to reveal a laboratory of sorts with medical equipment and other sorts of odds and ends.
"Set your stuff anywhere, and someone sit in that chair," Ace commanded, gesturing towards a chair surrounded by the most equipment.
Ariana seemed to choke on a sob at the mention of Wally. She quickly turned her head away from him and squeezed her eyes shut, covering her mouth with her hand. The sudden lurch of painful sadness produced more erratic electricity sparked in the air. "I've been trying to calm down," she said shakily. She was beginning to breath more jagged breaths, as if she were panicking. The hand that covered her mouth moved over her eyes as she pressed the side of her face into the bed. Whenever she was like this, Wally would've been the one to calm her down, but now that he was gone, who knew how to fight off her demons for her?
Z pressed her lips together as all the heroes left the room other than the stern ginger. Slowly, the shadow people and dark man dissipated and her surroundings returned to normal for her. She slowly walked over to Brand, reaching out and touching his arm, wide grey eyes looking up at him.
Ace gave a small nod to the alien boy before he floated away with Dessie. He blew out a breath, taking his arms and resting them behind his head. "Grab your stuff," he instructed them. Without saying another word, he spun around on his metal heel to make his way towards the exit. He didn't stop until he was on the other side to see if they were following him.
Z looked towards Brand, sticking out her bottom lip slightly at seeing him frustrated. She still held her hands close to her chest and didn't intend on moving them until the small crowd of shadowy people that surrounded her disappeared. She opened her mouth to say something, momentarily forgetting she couldn't speak, but all that came out was a soft, barely audible squeak. She stopped herself short before she really hurt her throat, there was a small twang of pain, and signed with one hand to Brand, "In time."
Ace blew out a long breath. "Eti troye beznadezhny*," he grumbled to himself. "As fun as that was, I think that's all the assessment I need for the time being." He clicked on his wrist band and the dummies disappeared.
"Now, if you don't mind, I would like to run a few standard tests, medical things mostly, to get a synopsis of your well-being and the like," He asked them, replacing his expressive look to the stone cold look.

*Эти трое безнадежны
Ace's thick brows were raised as he watched Lukas sprint forward at an incredible speed. His amazement turned to amusement, snorting as the blond tripped and fell. "That one's going to hurt," he chuckled, turning back to face the other two. He waited expectedly for them to attempt something.
Z was still staring at the dangerous man that haunted her vision. He kept gesturing towards the dummy but said nothing. She furrowed her brows before becoming frustrated and giving in. She pointed towards her then towards the dummy to attempt to get some answer from whoever the ghost man was. When she pointed towards the dummy, thick shadows that appeared to be hands molded from the ground to begin sliding up in the air and wrap around the dummy's ankle. Z was startled by this, retreating her hands to clasp against her chest.
Ace had a bona fide look of surprise on his face. "That's a first," he commented under his breath. Well, it wasn't the weirdest thing he's seen concerning magical stuff, his partner-in-crime-fighting could do some freaky stuff with the right tools.
"Well, get used to being unexpected," Ace told them, pulling back the sleeve of his green sweater to reveal a high tech looking wrist band. He pressed a button and the car/plane was lowered into the floor with a platform replacing the space. "Let's begin," the ginger said, cracking a smile with a soft malicious intent. He clicked something on his wrist and three featureless forms materialized next to him.
"I want to see if you can do anything," Ace stated. "Try anything you want, this things can't hurt you. At the moment, anyways."
Z looked at the forms and frowned. To her, the lights seemed to flicker, but in reality they were fine, and the tall man with skin the darkest skin appeared next to a dummy. The shadowy people formed, surrounding her, but she didn't react as harshly as she had before. She seemed more confused than anything.
Z returned Dessie's chipper wave with one of her own. She inteoduced herself, as well, by pointing towards herself and tracing a Z in the air. Once the gorgeous lady wished them good luck, she turned her attention to Ashe, who was cursing up a storm. Reminded her of her dad.
Ace didn't even register that Ashe was cursing so much. He, himself, cursed a lot. "You three are the result of the explosion?" He asked, not really caring whether or not they answered. "What did Samuel say you have? I need an assessment."
Ace moved his eyes between Brand and Z. He knew how to read sign language but thought it would be fun to indulge in them seeming he was unknowing. "Unfortunately, no. Well," he answered, crossing his arms. "Other than having an extremely high IQ, no." He turned his head around at the sound of laughter, watching the three walk into the hanger. No matter what was happening around, he maintained his solid 'poker' face.
Z had of starstruck when the model of a woman walked in. She grinned widely, signing out "So pretty!" whether someone was reading her hands or not. She didn't concern herself too much with the muscular woman's comment, she was too busy gaping at the other's beauty to notice it.
Ace glanced to Dessie. "If I wanted to scare them myself, I would get Lacy to come in here," he stated blandly. "They'll be fine. For now." The short ginger seemed to be holding a bit of a resentment to the three, or rather it seemed like by his tone of voice. Maybe even a little pity thrown in.
Ariana's dull eyes slowly glided over to look at Ryan before resetting to stare the wall. "I haven't done anything yet," the words croaked from her throat. She barely moved her mouth to speak. She meant she had done anything to herself physically, but all that ran through her mind were a lot of dark things that would scare even the happiest of hippies, and a lot of blame for the death of Wally.
"You shouldn't be in here. It's not safe for you," she softly told him with more emotion than her previous statement. When she turned her head to actually look at him, the blue glow of the electricity that bounced across her skin shone on the wet tears that stained her cheeks.
