I have done a thing @LordVoldemort
It feels good to be in this RP setting again. I'll post my character soon. Get ready for ya boi bard to get back in the spotlight.
I posted. Zachary's sense of humor is going to get him killed, but I posted nonetheless.
Zachary returned his eyes to the road ahead after his humorous gesture towards Eli and the white haired girl next to the prince. He always took pleasure in simple jests. They would always serve as good ice breakers to soften the mood and bring a smile. Even the bard’s bird friend was tweeting excitedly at the atmosphere here. Zachary patted his horse lightly as the conversation continued on. Soon enough Eli responded to Biscuit’s naming and Zachary feigned an overdramatic response. ”How dare you mock mi caballo,” the bard speaks as if he were a damsel. “He but a simple horse with a simple name. For now, I shall let your comment slide mi príncipe.” The bard softly chuckled at his poor acting skills, his ears perking when the kimono bearer Jauna approached from behind. Her compliment only served his playful act even more. With a big grin, he gestured towards his horse as he spoke. ”See, Eli? My stallion’s name is one of excitement and love!” How is it possible someone could put that much enthusiasm into naming their horse? Not even Zachary knew, he was just trying to rouse laughter.

Before he could earn himself a proper response, the loud guardsman Maize spoke once again to inform the group of their mission. The bard fell silent and looked forward as he listened carefully to the announcement. Even though Zachary was not a combatant it would be best for him to know the groups’ plans for now. Four days travel, four stops, no problem. I have done much worse in my younger days. Zachary thought this before he finally heard of the pirate attack on one of their stops. His heart panged with slight pain for the people affected by the attack. Zachary wished the victims the best and hoped everyone was fine from the attack, and he made it his personal goal to raise the town’s spirits with his music once they arrived that day.

Time went on during the ride before Zachary heard a womanly shriek from behind him. When he whipped his head around, he saw Jauna promptly sitting in fresh dung as her horse walked away to graze. Stifling a laugh and quickly turning his head to face forward, Zachary’s face was red from restraint. The bard knew those around the girl would take the situation seriously so he decided not to openly react to them. He decided, instead, to jest with the prince. ”Dios mío, the bard said only loud enough for Eli to hear. “It seems nuestra amiga has landed herself in a crappy situation.” Zachary stopped himself from audibly laughing to prevent the poor girl from more humility… but internally he was dying of laughter and amusement. His face was contorted in what the bard was holding back his laughter as he face forward on his steed. Zachary took the pipe off of his hat, lit the tobacco in it with a match, and puffed it while riding to help mask his enjoyment.

The bard did not wish the girl ill will, and he hoped that the prince would see it as a simple, yet well timed, joke.

@Ambra I've posted now. I won't be able to respond at all tomorrow due to university orientation, however the evening of the day after I should be in the clear. Once this orientation stuff is out of the way you can expect more activity from me, kek.
Zachary was absentmindedly steering his horse as the group was finally mobilizing. The journey was finally beginning and the bard only grinned wider as he thought of the future. Surely, such coverage will allow him to spread the joy of music that fuels his soul to everyone who cared to listen. These thoughts pleased the bard and put any negativity he would have to rest. Once the prince responded to his introduction, Zachary felt his heart swell with happiness as the prince of all people was pleased by his music. ”I would play you another tune, but alas we are now traveling and I cannot play with one hand… or, at least I have yet to try.” The prince’s smile and chuckle reassured the bard that Eli was a very sociable boy and would not be scared to speak with him.

The people of Greymont began to amass and the bard was surprised by such exposure. The masses all cheered for the prince to begin his journey... however it seems they only paid mind to the prince for the most part. I sure hope none of the other escorts are offended by the lack of attention. After all, this journey is all about Eli in the first place. The bard still grinned and waved to the people nonetheless. He wished his horse was not scared by so many people, otherwise he would have gladly played the citizens a farewell song. Once the group had finally left the area the prince spoke to him once again. The boy seemed troubled by leaving his people behind. Zachary sympathized with him to some degree. No te preocupes, my prince. The people know why you must go so do not see a farewell as a sad moment. Use this farewell as your reason to return en la victoria!” The bard would always serve to inspire others even without music, no matter what. His spirit has gotten him to where he is today and he will gladly share inspiration with others.

The bard continued to steer his horse close by the prince in case he wished to converse with him again. He was a nice boy, Eli, and Zachary wished to make the journey enjoyable for him and everyone else. Zachary caught a glimpse of the wyvern in the sky, its white sheen looking as natural as a cloud. There is much beauty in this world to witness. Such a creature is truly a blessing to have on our side. He returned his gaze to the road ahead as he slightly adjusted his horse’s movements. His steed was slightly discomforted by the predator in the sky but surely it would get over it as time went on.

Eli’s voice caught the bard’s attention. The prince had named his horse Chester and Zachary found this amusing. Soon before the bard could quip in, an attractive young woman rode up to the prince as Zachary was. She joined in on Eli’s fun and named her horse Lucille. ”Those are truly nombres de magnificos my friends,” he spoke as he pulled himself next to the prince yet again. ”Of course, no name is better than that of Biscuit. Simple yet elegant, yes?” The bard looked over at the other two with a grin and a chuckle as he patted his horse.

I wouldn't mind, especially since I'm one of the slow ones *cry*. I'm doing my best to keep up so please forgive any slowness of mine, I'm depending on @LordVoldemort to remind me until I'm not so crammed with college things.
The bard saw the prince finally come done from the building down to where the others were. It took a bit longer than the bard had expected, but maybe the boy was saying goodbyes and Zachary couldn’t judge him for that in the slightest. The prince’s quip towards the handmaid named Jauna made Zachary chuckle a bit. The boy has a sense of humor in him, a skill sometimes more powerful than any healing ability.

It took time for the prince to get mounted before he could truly approach the boy, so Zachary took the time to observe the others around him for a moment. The one true wonder that caught his eye was the whit wyvern that the knightly woman Rhea had mounted. It was truly a magnificent beast that Zachary hoped to befriend with his musical ways just as he did his bird friend atop his hat. He wished he had gone up to inspect the beast before finding a horse yet the bard knew there wasn’t much time for that now anyways. Zachary looked back to the Ibionese girl he failed to flirt with and saw her speaking to another Ibionese nomad in the group. Zachary could not here eithers’ exchanges, but the male nomad seemed a fine man from here and Zachary looked forward to exchanging conversations with him in the future.

Before the bard could continue his observations the prince was upon him. Zachary skillfully guided his horse to ride next to the prince’s as Eli was mounting. @LordVoldemort Prince Eli’s warm expression and greeting pleased the bard. Zachary met the boy’s hand and shook firmly, releasing before speaking himself. Mi príncipe, it is an honor to be able to serve under you for this journey. My name is Zachary Nyrid, descendant of ancient bards that once served as I will here. I humbly hope you will accept mis servicios.” The bard took a small bow as he spoke, the little bird atop his hat tweeting when it was close to the prince. Zachary then sat upright on his steed for the prince to respond.
Zachary played his tune and sung in his native Ibion tongue whilst everyone came into the banquet hall. Once everybody was there he should have sat down as he had promised, but the music kept coming the heart and did not allow him to stop. His hands had a mind of their own. Plus his red-headed bird friend was having a great time at the end of his lute. Its wings spreading in an alternating way whilst it did a dance. Such a sight to behold was something Zachary had come to enjoy every time he decided to play a song.

The bard continued playing while standing off to the side to entertain his fellow party members. Although he played his heart away, his ears were perked to eavesdrop on the table. It was a trick he had picked up at a younger age, and an invaluable one for gaining information whilst feigning ignorance. The prince seemed uncertain about their mission, but it was a mission northward by sea. Everyone reacted too differently for Zachary to discern anything solid. All the bard knew was that everyone was beginning to feel doubtful until a man of authority walked into the hall. It was at his disturbance and announcement that finally made Zachary halt his music. He knew when a superior man was present and he had to listen even if his bird protested the lack of music.

It seems that in his jamboree time flew like an arrow, landing him no time to sit down and enjoy a meal before leaving. This was nothing new to Zachary. In fact, missing proper meals has been a habit ever since he could play an instrument so this wasn’t new to him. When all of the others began to stand and walk away, the bard quickly hopped over to the table and grabbed a few breads to throw into his satchel. ”I hope the prince does not mind me bringing along some snacks for the road,” the bard chuckled to himself. With that, his bird companion snatched some crumbs and flew onto the top of his hat. There it sat while bobbing up and down as Zachary rushed to follow the others. He managed to find a spare horse left for him to use next to a girl whom looked to be Ibionese herself. The bard contemplated striking a conversation whilst mounting, even turning to her and opening his mouth to speak. Yet he froze his smug expression and he sighed, settling instead for a smile and wink for the girl before moving away.

@LordVoldemort He trotted his horse to where the prince would arrive from in hopes of sparking a conversation with the lad. Zachary wanted to get to know the boy he was going to serve from this point forward, an idea he thought ingenious. The bard would sit atop his provided horse in waiting for Prince Eli with a big, stupid smile on his face. Adventure was nigh and he was surely excited!
Yeah I'm still in this. Had a busy few days because of college registrations, but I'll be posting very soon. If not by tonight then definitely tomorrow.

Edit: @Ambra I'm not dead and I've posted, kek. I took your 'wait to post' thing to heart while I got busy with college crud. I'll be sure to keep more in tabs than before, count on it!
