As the fight continued, Matsuko had a watchful eye on her cooldowns and health. She felt as though she should've picked Monk, because these cooldown times were making her somewhat impatient. The fact that these Oni had spears wasn't really helping either. Their range advantage over her blade made it hard to approach them without being poked by one of the others. So far three Oni had been defeated. If memory served her well, there should be a field boss when they defeat enough Oni.

She didn't want to use skills like <Unbreakable Will> until the boss arrived, but her health had taken quite a large hit due to the absence of a healer in the party. She began to wonder why they even started this event without one..
As she fought, her health began to slowly fall, the bar going yellow. Her health regeneration wasn't enough, especially since it was day-time. This cursed sword did almost nothing during the day, she had half a mind to get rid of it, but it was a Phantasmal, so discarding it would be a terrible idea.

She let go of the sword with her left hand, and began to fight single-handedly as she rummaged through her bag with the other hand, producing yet another sandwich. As she deflected and dodged attacks, she started stuffing her face with the delectable piece of food, her body being encased in a green aura similar to a regeneration spell from a druid. Her health bar slowly began to move back into the green. The perks of being 'The Great Gourmand.'

After finishing her fantastic sandwich, she immediately reacted to an Oni's downward swing, activating <Kaeshi>. The impeccable timing of the skill made her blade flash a deep red as she cut into the assailant, dealing the finishing blow. Four down. The last Oni standing flew into a rage as it's companions fell. Before the last Oni could even telegraph an attack, Matsuko dashed forward using <Moonlight Slash>. A pause for dramatic effect as Matsuko sheathed her blade. The iconic 'clink' sound of the sword in scabbard before the enemy evaporated into shiny bubbles of anima.

The Capital, Elementia

A hunter by trade, a tribesman by blood. Alya was quite unfamiliar with the structure of towns, let alone cities. Unlike most of the citizens in this maze, the huntress had taken to running along the roof tops as the freedom from closed spaces gave her comfort as did the breeze that gently caressed her.. She didn't quite understand how these people could live in such a confined space, but she merely dismissed it as another way of living outside of her own. The few people that she had actually spoken to about this subject were mostly horrified by her upbringing as she regaled the stories of her hunting trips in the wilderness. She wondered why people didn't take her upbringing into stride as she did theirs... To each there own.

Alya followed the crowds below from above as they made their way to the center of the capital. The Knight Selection ceremony seemed very important to these people and she was curious as to what made it so. The stories she had been told as a child were vague at best, but the image she was given was that these Knights were like Heroes. She observed the proceedings, noting at person as they received their.. piece of paper?

The first Knight. The Knight of Light. He seemed quite young... Almost too young. He seemed inexperienced, which was hardly a hero-like quality. The Knight of Spirit seemed more capable. His build looked more formidable as did the colour of his hair, the origins of which were more ambiguous than the meaning behind 'Spirit'. Then came the Knight of Arcane Spirit. A woman this time, with a bow as well. She didn't seem to move like a hunter, so Alya couldn't really rationalize why she had a hunting tool; the colours of which were almost as odd as the difference between 'Arcane Spirt' and 'Spirit'.

The Knight of Earth, while seeming rather short compared to everyone she's ever met (Excluding children), he looked capable. Whether he is or not remained to be seen. The Knight of Fire.. wore a hood. The Huntress couldn't really see much passed that, but she felt some sort of... hatred within them. Hatred and an air of confidence. Perhaps it was her imagination.

"Alya Frei shall be the next Knight of Air!" the paper man announced. Alya felt her heart skip a beat in excitement, but she paused for a moment to survey the area. No traps.. A fairly pure hearted festival? From one of the higher roof tops, Alya leapt. Many gazes fell upon her as they noticed a giant falcon appear out of nowhere, the huntress gripping onto one of it's massive talons. With ease, she and Akash floated down to the stage. The crowds moved further away from the stage as she descended; and as quickly as he appeared, Akash vanished back into Alya's arm as she landed in front of the paper man. His expression was amusing. He, like most of the other folk, were shocked by her antics. "M-May the winds favour you." he stammered slightly. She made a slight curtsy before taking the scroll, her hunter weapons shown to be dangling from her belt. It would seem that Alya was the odd one out in terms of weapon choice.
"They already do~" She replied with a carefree grin, walking over to the banner with the Air symbol.

In the back of her mind she hoped that such a title wouldn't give her too much trouble.
@ViannaNight@NobodiesHero

Y'know this whole 'Sun and Moon' thing is... covered by Light and Dark elements... This is all pretty unnecessary.

You might be reading into representations a little too far and coming up with concepts that seem very out of place. We're looking for elements not Astrological phenomena.

Spirit is related to the body and soul. The opposite to that is Death. Simple enough? However, since death is not a "good good", think of something else maybe.
cool beans.
Alrighty then with that I think I can squeeze Vianna in with the Ice element and that will fill us up.

Doesn't water encompass ice?
Was there a specific rule on what kind of faceclaim we use? Also I'll be taking librarian
I'm interested~
