Guys I'm sorry I've been MIA today. My IRL coach passed away last night and I've been in mourning.

"Ha! You had me going for a minute there my friend! Sounds good! I am gonna be competing as well. I'm looking to make some extra cash and get my name out there. I'm not the greatest at striking either, but we can all help each other. Welcome to the team!" John shook Jorge's hand and was very excited for what is to come.

"Maybe we can afford to put a cage in here before too long. Right now all I have is these mats and old bags. Anyway, let's get some workouts in."

John put his mouthpiece back in and put his 16oz gloves back on. He headed over to the bags and begab striking them again. Just going around 50%. He was never one to try to impress anyone. He started laying in the power kicks eventually and they made a loud THWAP! when connecting with the bag. John also had a habit of yelling with his strikes to ensure he tightened his core up.

"They don't have enough submission artists here in America though. I hate it. Are you familiar with Catch Wrestling by any chance? That's where my heart is. We have a lot of BJJ here in the states these days, but it's a crap shoot if you're gonna get a legitimate lineage or not.. ya know all these guys want to have a foot in everything. So a lot of phonies out there. Same with Catch Wrestling. Anyway... you're welcome to join our gym! Feel free to get loosened up and we can talk some technique here soon."

John looked at everyone "There's a fight card at the end of the month at the town square... would you guys and gal be interested in fighting on their? I'd have to get team shirts made for us, but if you put in a solid month, I bet we could make it happen."

"Nice to meet you Jorge.. I can see your experienced by the way you carry yourself. We all are still learning here, there is no masters. I trained under Billy Robinson some and wrestled in school. I have some muay thai experience, but I'm definitely a wrestler. Glad to have a submission artist here."

John couldn't help but think of how awesome it was to have a team started. It literally made him ecstatic. For the longest time.. this is all he had dreamed for.

John had barely even applied the hold before Jackson pointed at the door... "Oh another visitor... this guy means business." John looked down at Jackson. "I told you cut that bowing crap out. Respect is earned not given." John patted him on the stomach and walked over to introduce himself. "Hey man, nice cauliflower ear. Mines not too bad either ha... My name is John Santel, and this is the Strong Style Dojo. Those 2 back there are new students as well. Are you looking for a place to train?"

John looked back at Macy and Jackson. "You two can drill or spar or whatever you'd like to do while I talk to this guy."

"Ugh.. jeez you fatty." John laughs "I'm just kidding. Good job. Now if we could only convince Jackson that bonebreaking holds are effective for fighting." After Macy repeated the submission and worked out the kinks, John sat back up.

"This one specifically rips out the ligaments in your shoulder. It sounds pretty devastating. But see you just need to tap and take care of yourself, and you won't end up with a useless arm."!

"Well, this is day 1 stuff man. If you don't want to learn the basics then you're doomed to lose to someone that does train the basics.. but I guess you can just drill with me Macy." John laid back and motioned for Macy.
