Yes, I heard of him, and by monarchy I meant a separate Wizarding one.

Let's see, differents schools adhering to differenct arts and maybe different philosophies, like one is a Pointillism Pragmatism, the other a Expressionism Nihilist etc... This would be a pretty complicated system where school of thoughts, art and magic would merge into small Coven, that themselves would be very strict in who they let in their ranks.
Not to worry, I like it :)!

There would be the royalty, nobility, bourgeoisie, merchant class, artisant class and finaly the peasantry as far as social classes goes, each having an obligation to provide to both the kingdom as a whole and those of lesser status. I see them as having a Magical royal family as well.
Would anyone be willing to craft a world with an Arabian feel to it where tales, rumors and facts are blurred to all? We would make cities in a desert along with a whole culture and lots of characters, making the whole thing our own and as enjoyable as possible. I'm thinking of a big city with a palace surrounded by the briggant-ridden deserts and canyons, the only escape would be the merchant and pirate ladden seas.

The streets would be full of merchants, entertainers, nobles, warriors and thieves, with each having their allegience to various organizations. the currency would be gold, jewels and favors and wealth would be calculated by possessions, knowledge and reputation. There would also be points to see how you do, with Children having Charisma, Women Wiles and Men Might that would give a variety of bonuses in exchange for some points.

I also would love if this would be a race for favors and status, with each starting a lowly wretch and struggling upward to a life of hopeful luxury and indulgence. So, is anyone interested?
Yeesh, scary, but I like it.

Italy could also be one of the foremost in magical portrait making, with a secret technique that would make it so that the portrait's subject would know whatever the portrait saw or heard and vice versa, making it a sort of immortality.
Alright, so we got Wizarding Italy being it's stuck in Renaissance self, what else could we use to flesh things out?

Also, lurkers, you are fee to join the planning :3!

Are you ready to play the game of life~?

We all hold the essence of god within us, as, indeed, we ARE god, at least when our soul and reincarnations are concerned. You are one such young soul, with just enough Divine Essence to your name to start a sole human life in a world quite similar to our own. Be careful out there, for you will get only one chance to gather enough DE for another worthy and lengthy life. Manage to bungle it up, and it's an animal life for you once more, devoid of meaning beside the survival of your species.

Of course, you will forget you are the master of your fate each time you reincarnate, but it's one of the rules of the Game of Life, and as such is part of the ~fun~, is it ? Each of your incarnations will have a hidden goal, that you will have chosen but promptly forgotten when you stepped into your new body at it's birth. Not only that, but you will have to choose a Karma for this life, that will change your temperament and goals according to it's existence. Bad Karma will mean you will have a life full of conflict but also opportunities, a Neutral Karma will mean you will walk a narrow road indeed, and a Good Karma means an easy but unfulfilling life.

Each life will be put in chapters called : Infanthood, Childhood, Adolescence, Young Adulthood, Adulthood, Middle Ages and finally Elderhood and will span many worlds and timelines. Seven chances to change your fates you will have, and the best of it you will have to make it, for nothing is worse than the nothingness that awaits your young soul if you do not make something of your life. This will be the time of action, adventure and exploration of your world, for salvation can be hidden anywhere. To help you you will be drawn to some things and repulsed by others, paving the way to your still forgotten life goal.

That goal will be unknown to you player as well, but you will have first a first hint by a choice between category of Purposes and secondly by dreams you will have before each Age of your life. Fulfilling your Purpose will not be your only goal, however, yes, your primary one, but not the only one, for each action according to your Karma and Temperament will gain you some Divine Essence to your name, in which you will be able to change your fate at your current body's death, that it may be as simple as changing gender to as complicated as a new race or world.

Cooperation will be vital both in and between lives, for Essence can be pooled together to change worlds, create new races or powers and even link fates together, making for more challenging but rewarding outcomes.

To recap, for your first life you will be able to choose:

Your Gender (Male or Female)
Your Karma (Bad, Neutral or Good)
Your Temperament (Must be in line with Karma)
Your Purpose Category (Relationship, Career, Scholastic or Spiritual.)

Later on, your Race, Gender and Inherent Abilities will be able to be 'purchased' with DE, and the following will be able to be decided between the existing players:

Timeline
Culture
Genre
Soulmates

Finally, the whole thing will be Quest based for all of our convenience, with Quests being unlocked by either discovering them through an event, a thought or a dream.

Do you have what it takes to play god?
Yeah, that's an idea. Maybe there would be placements in both the "big" schools and rivalry to learn from the more accomplished witch and wizards. This would make for a divergeance from Tutor schooled and Institution schooled wizarding children.
Behold, I am the mermaid unicorn!
Hah!
So I was thinking of the city being full of close but exclusive communities, and the Muggleborns having a hard time because of it at first. The schools would start for all seven years old, with very basic things such as magical history and calligraphy, perhaps quickstarting them with runes and Arithmancy as well as Astronomy as well.
Excellent idea!
