Hey all,

I'm new to this site and a bit new to roleplaying. I am a full time college student and have a job as well, so my posting will probably be once to twice a week. I also have a graphics shop which I hope to also work on as well. I think right now I'm looking for maybe 1-2 roleplays that I can dedicate my time to. I don't want to take on more than I can handle or promise people things I may not be able to deliver cause of real life stuff. So if you're fine with one to two posts a week, I would love to write with you.

When it comes to fandoms I can do Canons or OCs. I do like Canons more cause they're someone my partner and I already know and love. I don't expect us to play them perfectly. I mean why would we when we're likely making new and interesting situations and interactions for them? I say we should be encouraged to develop characters however we like while respecting their core values and traits. When it comes to OCs, I don't want us to just insert ourselves into the world, I want to have something more developed than that. Sometimes I'll do all OCs if the plot is unique but it's something that probably takes two heads to keep afloat and I want us both to make twists and turns.

Normally I write short stories by myself so this is going to be a fun change for me. I can write as both genders and try to stick to heterosexual pairs but I could be swayed to do something same-sex based.

And I can do PMs or Threads. I won't go off-site.

About Myself:

I am in college, I am majoring in History but I am hoping to minor in graphic design as I've always had a fascination with bringing a creation to life and evoking emotions through strangers and being able to connect one another. I don't have a lot of time on my hands so I don't want to overload myself since I am a full time college student with a part time job. That said, I do want to practice my skills with Photoshop so I thought opening a shop would be a way to help myself as well as anyone who wants something made (for free obviously).

I haven't had Photoshop for long but I have been looking up a lot of tutorials and have been looking at other graphics shops on other sites. There isn't much here but I am always trying to improve. I have been sorta lurking around one on ones so I have used some character images from roleplays I saw. I tried to link to original images to show a before and after.

The Shop:

I don't consider myself an artist, at least on here. I consider myself someone who takes an image and redesigns it, either I change the colors, present it in a new manner or add something else. The art still belongs to the original creator though. In an ideal world, I'd like someone to have permission from the artist when submitting a request to my shop but if that's not possible (because once on the internet, it kinda has a life of its own) I want to credit the original in some manner to make a distinction between it and whatever I have altered. I want to give artists the credit they deserve whenever possible. So this shop is not me claiming credit in whatever I do end up making and I am not making a profit by these, I am simply practicing to become better.

When making a request keep in mind I don't want to overload myself so I may need to turn people away or take a break. If that happens I am happy to let people know when I do have availability. I would guess it would take me anywhere from two to seven days to get someone a few choices to pick from. I don't want to be rushed as I think it makes the finished product look sloppy.

I can make signatures, avatars, character banners, roleplay banners and other text-based headers. I do draw but I'd prefer not to bring that medium here because it is very time consuming. I may be able to change eye color or hair color or remove a background, it will depend on the image provided, as to what I can do.

I will try to give a few options as far as finished products go since everyone has different tastes. If you don't like any of the options, let's work together so you're happy. But be civil about it please.

If someone from another shop wants to collaborate with a request, I am very open to that.

You don't need to give me credit but it would be cool if you did. It would be even better if you gave me and the original artist credit though. Let's all be chill yeah?

Request Form:

If you leave a section blank I will assume it's my choice and I'll do what I think looks/feels best. Also, if I feel the image isn't the best quality, I will ask you find something else, otherwise I don't think the end result will be very satisfactory for either of us. Also minimal text is best unless you want something purely just text like a banner or quote. I can do things black and white or with one color popping out, or keep the colors as is. Also size isn't listed since I will decide that when working with the graphic unless otherwise stated for some reason. If you want to add a section to the form, feel free, this is basic on purpose.

So, what do your characters most often look like? Are they in sci fi, real people, fantastical creatures?
Are you looking to write 3 paragraphs on a tale or do you feel more like setting up some basic statistics and getting the playing going?

Thanks for the welcome, I'll send ya a PM if I need any help.

My characters range from species of my own creation to inspired by other creations like Star Trek or Lord of the Rings. My characters are usually human or humanoid but sometimes I have played a beast or spirit that's fairly unique. I think the challenge which also counts as something exciting is writing with someone else. Shorties give a writer total control so I would want to reel in that urge with someone else so I would try to stick to a few paragraphs but not so much that it doesn't leave room for anyone else. I think I'd like to work one on one or in a group but I dunno if I can have time to actually lead a RP myself.

Hey everyone.

My name is Ricasso and I'm currently in college. I'm an aspiring graphic designer and in my spare time I like to write short stories and apply them to my creations and give additional depth to them. I'm new to the roleplaying scene but I have done a bit on other sites and this one seems to be bigger so I'm stoked to see what I can find. Hopefully roleplaying can continue to be an interesting outlet for stress. If anyone is willing to give a newbie like me some help, that'd be cool.
