Almost instantly, Josh's plan began to fall apart. Even with Matt's screens protecting her, all it took was a single Hyper Beam to knock Celes out. If Reshiram had Hyper Beam, that meant every single one of them was vulnerable. On top of that, their attacks seemed to be doing next to nothing. Josh was trying to stay optimistic, but if the fight kept going the way it was going now, it certainly wouldn't end well.
"Everyone just stay calm. We need to...um..." Josh was desperately trying to come up with a new plan, but he was out of ideas at this point. He launched a Sludge Bomb, hoping that it would be at least somewhat effective, but that seemed unlikely.

The Golurk was extremely paranoid about this thing's agents, but eventually agreed to talk to them somewhere where they couldn't be overheard. Now that that was out of the way, they could keep searching for that lost Abra they were sent here to find. They kept going until they eventually ended up at a gap in the path, with an old, rotten plank of wood acting as a bridge between the two sides.
"There's no way in hell that board's gonna hold our weight." Dexter said. "Rebecca, we're gonna need you to teleport us across. Just try not to bring us to some random cave this time."
Trey's hit roll: 11 + 15/2 = 18
Thief's dodge roll: 5 + 6 = 11
Trey's damage: 5 + 4 + 17/2 - 8 = 9
Thief's remaining HP: 31/57
Trey's remaining MP: 8/10
Trey woke up to the sound of screaming, and upon opening his eyes, he saw Deravan confronting a human thief that had decided to raid their camp. Seeing that Deravan was injured, Trey immediately rushed over to help, flying over the thief's head and using a Fire spell on him. Deravan didn't look like he could take another hit, so Trey hoped that this would draw the thief's attention away from him, at least until Robert or Miles got a chance to heal him.
Lugia, what are the thief's stats?
20 + 15/2 - 5 = 22

At the top of the tower, the group ran into two Pokemon who appeared to be corrupting Reshiram. Unfortunately, it was too late to stop it. Reshiram was already fully corrupt, and the two Pokemon fled before anyone could do anything about it. The corruption seemed to have altered Reshiram's mind, and thinking they were intruders, he attacked. In almost an instant, he had already knocked out Spruce, Anthony, and Daniel. Josh didn't have any reviver seeds on him, and as far as he knew, nobody else did, either. If they wanted to have any chance of defeating Reshiram, then they would need some sort of plan.

At that point, Matt began putting up his screens, providing them all with a defensive boost that might prevent Reshiram from knocking them out with a single attack. They also had Celes and Kamina, who would take little to no damage from Dragon and Fire attacks.
"Celes, I need you to get in the way of any Dragon-type attacks headed my way." Josh said. "Kamina, you do the same for Miles."
Josh got himself into a position where Celes was between him and Reshiram. This way, she could easily block any Dragon attacks aimed at him.

The Golurk knew a lot about the thing that created the mystery dungeons, and had even survived an attack from it at one point. He decided not to tell them anything, though, since he thought it had agents there that would hear them.
"You've got to be shitting me." Dexter mumbled under his breath. He was careful to not let the Golurk hear him, since pissing him off wouldn't do them any good. He decided to let Rebecca and Nina handle this, since he was pretty much useless in this kind of situation.
The group continued heading towards the dust, but the sun was beginning to set at this point. After being slowed down by those desert creatures and that group of humans, their chances of getting there before nightfall were very slim. For now, setting up camp and getting some rest would be their best option. They would have plenty of time to search for the dust tomorrow.

Robert began to collect wood for the fire, while Dorisma set up the camp. They still needed someone to watch over the camp while the others slept, though. As Deravan said, the smoke from the fire might attract some unwanted attention.
"I'll take the first watch duty." Trey said. After looking around at the group for a few seconds, he randomly selected someone. "Miles, I'll wake you up about halfway through the night so you can take over, unless someone else wants to volunteer."

Despite Celes' objections, they decided to let the dragons carry them to the top of the tower. There was some conversation going on between Miles and Anthony on the way up, which Josh chose to ignore, as he was a little bit lost in thought at the moment. The only other legendary he'd seen in person before was Darkrai, and he wasn't sure if Reshiram would be anywhere near as friendly. All he could do for now was hope that Reshiram was willing to help them.

Nina, as usual, began asking Mariah questions about the thing that was controlling the wild Pokemon. According to her, it separated them based on their strength, so they would only attack Pokemon that were around the same strength as them. If it really did do this, wouldn't that make it easier for weaker Pokemon to get through the mystery dungeons? It seemed like the more Dexter found out about this thing, the less its actions made sense.

His thoughts were interrupted when the Golett they'd just knocked out woke up again. It had no idea where it was, and when Nina explained to him, he was even more confused.
"Mystery dungeons are places where everything gets shifted around and the wild Pokemon attack you. Mt. Dragoncoil is one of them." He said.
