The dim lighting made it easy for Rinion to walk straight into the "pit-fall" trap, it caught him off guard and he fell straight through the rotten wooden boards into the black abyss below, " Run!!" he shouted as he fell deeper then vanished.
Apart from Rin vanishing there was one other strange event.

from what has been discussed the students are in classes ranked by letters, A = top and Z = bottom and within the classes i guess there are ranks 1-10 so for example i might be in class J and fourth in that class so i would be "J,4".
Apart from that we can pick, but obviously pic a lower class to begin with.

After Sol took a quick look around for anything dangerous he marveled at the massive library as he headed through it following Rin.
Rin was feeling hopeful about his chances of survival but the closer to the green orb he got the stranger he felt, " what do you think it is?" rin said out loud, " well lets not touch it and i think we should be ok" he said with a smile =)

At the other end was a large stair case leading to another level.
