  During World War 1 the Russian Civil War (October 1922) never happens, and the Romanov family (Royal Family that ruled Russia) were never killed. Joseph Stalin never takes power to become leader of the Soviet Union (1922–1953) so the Russian Empire ruled the nation for many more years. The Russian government was run by constitutional monarchy since the Revolution of 1905 still took place. Constitutional monarchy is a form of democratic government in which a nonpolitical monarch acts as head of state within the boundaries of a constitution, whether written or unwritten.
  
  So they never really got involved in the First World War. During World War 2 Hitler almost took over their country until the United States decides to get involved and saves Russia. Nicholas the Second (King of the Russian Empire) gave his thanks to the U.S and decided to join the Allies to support them against Hitler’s forces and later the Japanese. Unfortunately since the Soviet Union never existed Hitler gained control of Europe. The U.S and Russia nearly lost the war but it ended in a stalemate. The Axis forces later assassinated Hitler. Most of Europe spoke German and was controlled under their laws.
  
  The Russians in the 50's conquered Vietnam which expanded their Territory. The British were nearly crippled during WW2 since they were basically ally-less. A cold war started between New Europe and Russia/U.S. New Europe had a Revolution which removed the Nazi party from power in the mid 80's which ended the cold war with New Europe. Since then New Europe revived human rights and made new laws. New Europe ended up becoming a Super Power in the late 90’s with China following closely behind them in military and economic power. In modern day Russia the Royal family was still in existence but has a much lesser role. The first Prime Minister came to power in the 70’s and later elected was Paul Newport in the early 90’s. The Russian Empire had no term limits for its Prime Ministers.
  In the present day there were no major wars currently going on.

Honestly, in true democratic fashion we should wait for at least two different opposing presidential candidates and vote for one of them.

Also can we role play as senators/representatives that aren't speakers? What about lobbyists? Are original characters more encouraged then ones based on real life politicians?

I think New World Nation took a turn for the worst. Advice?

When I first started the thread I was fairly new and didn't really know how to start a good role playing thread. I basically posted no rules, the timeline the role playing took place, no real application to filter out crappy nations, and a real map were people can look at their positions would of been nice. Maybe a better thread name would of been suitable as well.

What do you guys think? Any suggestions?

New world nation RPG.

The Russian government started to fund a black book project involving multiple sites. The engineers and workers assigned are working to put down rail roads and construct the sites that are highly guarded. Famine was striking the nation; they learned it wasn't just the cheese, there was just a lack of food in general. The citizens were trying to conserve food and drinkable water. Everyone was starting to believe an ecological disaster was unfolding. The most noticeable effected place was Ukraine. A photo was released showing how bad its getting.



Later neighboring countries started naming the government The Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic. A small group of rebels was starting to form.

New world nation RPG.

Around 5 months later a shortage of cheese was taking hold of the country. Something was wrong with the cows and the media suspected the big company's involved in this. The Russian government ignored it like many of it's other issues. They where working hard on making the Romanian government looking more stupid then usual The Russian leader decides to blame the shortage of cheese on the Romania goverment. Declaring they where trying to sabotage our food. The nation is put on alert as the Russian letter sends a formal letter to the Romanian president.

"Look here, we know your government is involved with the shortage of cheese. It is time to come clean. We will put sanctions on you if you don't do so." The Russian leader tells about his letter to his group of advisers. The Russian media picks up wind of it and questions the Russian leader.

Report: There is ZERO evidence that Romania is causing this cheese shortage. I think we should just take a closer look at the factory's and farms that make the cheese. Why he is blaming Romania is beyond me.

The Russians secretly start to train their own spies to send to Romania.

New world nation RPG.

Russian leader makes an address to the Russian people about its status in the world.

Mr. X "Hello my comrades. Here I bring you news that our presence is strong in the world. We will work on creating jobs for our people as well. There is nothing to worry about"

The people of the nation cheer and watch the leader on TV as he continues his speech. The Russian leader really doesn't like some of the nations. In fact his considering making war with some of them. However it is just a thought in the back of his mind at the moment. The government is working hard on finding Iron since it isn't a natural resource where they are.

The Russian leader considers his opinions on the manner while talking to his advisers. They all agree that they need to find someone to trade with and in a hurry. The policy of Russia is whoever their allied with they will defend in a war. The Russian head of national security walks in the meeting and declares there is a crisis. There is a spy in our government. Alerted the meeting switched around quickly to address the emergency issue. People light cigars in the meeting room while going through paper work.

Mr. X states "Is there anyone out of our country that we can trust?"

Russian Head of National security says "Don't worry, I have it all under control."

The meeting went on for hours until they all decided to go home. Russian leaders and head politicians are heavily guarded and monitored. A secret project starts.
