I'm interested as well, but I'd like to know more about the direction you're taking. After all, DC covers everything from fantasy to sci-fi.
I actually haven't seen the movie, but would be interested all the same. Battling time-travelling criminals? Sign me up.
Name - Philip Carter
Alias - Fate
Age - 20
Sponsor - Zatanna
Personality - reserved, courageous, shy
Powers - Various magical and mystical abilities, mainly shields, blasts, flight, teleporting, etc
Weaknesses - Although the helm gives him a lot of power, he lacks finesse in his magics due to his inexperience. He is also indecisive. While the helm offers protection, he is by no means invincible. Due to his inexperience, Nabu sometimes tries to take full control of Phil's body. Needless to say, Phil tries to resist Nabu's possessions, but keeps this internal fight a secret.
Appearance - The usual Doctor Fate get up: helmet, big cape, amulet, all in blue and gold. Phil himself is slim, a little bit taller than average, with dark hair and green eyes.
BRIEF Bio - After the previous Dr. Fate's death, the Helm of Nabu chose a new user, a mere boy. When the helm chose him, Philip had just started college, studying archaeology. A very reserved person, Phil only acting when he knows the best course of action. When he can't think of an optimal action, he often freezes in indecision.
Notes - Zatanna, as the only magic-user, is the natural choice for a sponsor. This does not mean it was a good choice. Thinking that there are others who deserve the helm's power more, Zatanna is perplexed and perhaps a bit jealous that the Helm of Nabu would choose Phil, not knowing the internal struggle he shoulders.
So, is Fate approved then?

From what I know of Helm of Nabu (Young Justice TV show is the only thing I have seen to really go into depth about it), Zatanna should be grateful it didn't choose her. I wouldn't want that thing taking over my body. Also my girl is the oldest member of the team.

I wanted the relationship between Zatanna and Fate to be a little rocky. Zatanna doesn't necessarily want it for herself, but she thinks someone other than some young kid deserves it more. In my incarnation, the helm isn't known to possess people. Think of it like how some Green Lanterns thought that Hal, Guy, etc, didn't deserve a ring. Also, are you saying that you want my character to be younger..?

I really hope Guillermo del Toro makes his Justice League Dark movie.

I second this.
