To settle the matter on the Male Fairy, it does not actually break canon at all. In fact, there is a school called Lynphea College which does indeed have male fairies. They are just not as common as the female fairies so they don't have their own private school. And as I stated before, unless there is a big uproar about OCs and Magical Boys or a combination of both, I will allow them. Keep in mind, that I don't want male OCs to outnumber the canon magical girls otherwise this won't be magical girl crossover anymore.

I'm thinking I might a put a limit on the number of OCs applicable. Maybe four or five? What do you think would be a good number? Note, that this limit does not apply to OC villains.

@Crimson Flame, while I won't say no, as previously stated I'm going to be really tentative about the number of ocs signed up.

@Tachi, I could set it up for nonlethal fighters to have things to do as well. Possibly two seperate threats? One for those uncomfortable with their character killing, so it would be more of the purifying sort and a different threat happening at the same time for the lethal fighters by destroying monsters, etc etc. Also, PC villains are allowed.

Finally, many thanks to the people who offered to help me GM, I really appreciate it and could use the help! If you have any ideas on how to do our melting pot setting, post them here or pm them to me.

I think I addressed everything. If I missed something, let me know.
I'd rather not limit people on what sources they get their characters from since there is so much more Magical Girl stuff than what's popular. Not to mention the magical girl series created outside of Japan such as Winx Club and W.I.T.C.H.

So I say go with anything that is usually classified as magical girl. It may cause a bit more melding for the melting pot, but I'm sure I can work something out.
Unless multiple people have problems with it, I don't see why they shouldn't be allowed. If you want to RP a Magical Boy, or an OC, or maybe even both, then go right ahead!
Sure! I don't mind if people take claim of who they want to RP now.
Your money will be graciously taken and put into the funding of my barbie drea- errr the RP! Yes, that is what I meant.

So one for melting pot! Personally, that's my preferred one as well.

EDIT: I can definitely do a combination of canon and original villains.
The basic premise of this RP is a crossover with MAGICAL GIRLS. Yes, that’s it. A frilly, transformation, love and justice extravaganza! I’m posting here to not only check if anyone would be interested but to also have those of you that are help me sort out some things before I make the RP.

First of all, this is my first time GMing a RP and if anyone would like to offer help as a co-GM, that would be appreciated. Next, I want to know what you guys would prefer for the setting. Should we put all the various magical girl canons into a melting pot and create our own universe where they all are fighting bad guys in the name of the moon/fairies/etc? Or do we have them transported from their various dimensions?

Another thing is, villains! Every magical girl RP needs some monsters of the week and a series of bosses until the final boss. Would you prefer if we went with the canon villains from the various settings by letting players handle their preferred villains? Or would you rather I create a fresh group of villains with players playing villains as an optional thing?

Just throw out ideas! I want this RP to be enjoyable for everyone and I think seeing what the potential players want out of this RP will be much better than me just creating something with things only I enjoy.

I’m also debating on whether to allow Magical Girl OCs and Magical Boys (through genderbending or otherwise). I just don’t want them to exceed magical girls from canon sources.
I'll introduce Nepeta in my next post, I need to think more on what to do with her.
"Okay, cool! Let's hit this show on the road, slap some bitchass baddies around if it comes to that!" Roxy was so pumped for action right now. In fact, her kickass meter was definitely at it's max. Hell, she probably broke the meter by now. She was ready to march herself with Katsumi to their destination, that was until some dude decided it was a most opportune time to faceplant and eat dirt in front of these lovely ladies. What is with it raining people and swords?

"El em ei oh," Roxy had to cover her mouth at the laughter that gurgled up from the guy's misfortune, "That was some landing, bro. Smooth as fuck, I can feel myself swooning over here."
Annie giggled lightly at the bickering the cat and child did. Then she realized that was probably rude and stopped herself. She nodded to each of them as they introduced themselves. "It's a pleasure to meet you both, I'm Antimony Carver, but you can just call me Annie."

"If it isn't too rude to ask," The girl continued, her tone laced with curiosity, "You don't appear to be a normal cat and child, what are you? And how did you get here?"
Okay, I set up a post for you to respond to, Cake.
"Can I handle a fight? Psh, psssh, psssssssssssssssssh," Roxy waved her hand flippantly as if the idea of her not being a totally butt kicking badass was completely preposterous. In fact, she had many a level on the echeladder to show for her amazing kickassery skills. Though, people outside the game most definitely couldn't see it and as the rad scientist she was, she felt the need to prove that she knew what she was doing. So she pulled her laser gun from her strife specibus (which basically meant it just appeared in her hands from out of nowhere) twirled it as if she was in the Color Guard, then proceeded to point and aim it into the sky. She didn't fire it, only showing that she knew how to handle the ray gun, "This here is my baby," She explained, "And baby's first words were 'gogdamn momma, you are one badass chick.'"

"Now where do we go from here?" She asked, putting her weapon away. She didn't actually need it anymore, after all.
As Antimony continued her pleasant walk, something very strange happened. Or it would be strange if Annie wasn't already used to much weirder. What appeared to be a child with a cat, fell from the sky right in front of her. The girl scrunched her eyebrows as she studied the two. The child didn't appear to be completely human, or so it looked to her, and the cat could talk! They reminded her greatly of some of the beings she would find just outside the Court.

"Are you okay?" She inquired, crouching down so she was more at the child's eye level. They didn't appear to be hurt, but she still needed to check.
