Current Trying to get back into the swing of things (for a 2nd time!)

Bio

Hi there I'm Rultaos, or simply Rult as some of my friends call me. I first got into RP'ing on two different sites back when I was in High School. The forums of the games Minecraft and Spiral Knights. Both had game-related RP's, as well as off-topic ones regarding fantasy and sci-fi. This was around 3-4 years ago. I wasn't really good at it back then, but I met a lot of great people and feel like I really improved since then.

For any of you who are curious, this was one of my biggest RP undertakings before I got into this site (My username also comes from this as a tribute to it!). It's not really a very well-written roleplay (or a very well-managed one for that matter). But it really meant a lot to me because of how far it went, how long it survived, and how it inspired my fellow players there. It always fills me with a sense of nostalgia whenever I glance at it in my bookmarks...

I got into RPGuild back when it was still using the old server (the one that got taken down after Mahz got behind on his pay and the providers ended their service without warning). I was pretty bummed when this happened because I was already actively participating in a number of roleplays, and I could only stay in contact with a select few guildmates on the Facebook group. Eventually, the long wait was over, and the site was given renewed life after a few bumps in the road that guildmaster Mahz faced in his attempts to resurrect this place. It was a good day for many including myself when this site slowly started getting more and more features.

2014 was my second year in college and was a very stressful time for me. Mostly concerning academics, with a few occasional problems regarding friends and fellow students alike. Because of this, I had to suddenly drop out of roleplaying for a while in order to have the time to get my real life back in order.

Now, I've returned to the site, and am hoping to get back into the groove of roleplaying and make more great friends and have even greater adventures through whatever huge universe your brilliant minds can think of! If you wanna invite me to play, or even just have a friendly chat about anything, send a message my way and I'll reply as soon as I can =)

For those of you who are wondering, my roleplay interests include: Sci-Fi, Military, sometimes Fantasy, a Fandom one if I'm familiar with the source material, heck I'd be willing to dabble in an Apocalypse setting as well. I'm also willing to try new things as well if it seems fascinating enough. So hit me up with an idea any time and I'd be happy to share my thoughts with you.

Well, I feel like I've used up enough for your time. Thanks for caring enough to read all this, and I hope you enjoy your roleplay adventures as much as I have in the past and the present ^_^

Well I assume Tim would be flustered and try to respond first, as he might think that Naganori is asking if they were boyfriend-girlfriend or something XD. And what do you mean by "lost this character" chukklehead?
So... Anything new with you guys? I find it amusing that the IC has more activity than the OOC and thought about breaking the ice, haha XD
Naganori nodded politely and took a seat as the boy offered it, although the guy seemed a little nervous. It was understandable as they barely knew each other, and the boy didn't seem to be one who liked talking much with others. He then started unpacking his bento lunch while the two seemed to look at him. The girl seemed to be looking at him very intently, and maybe with a hint of anger. "What's her problem...? He thought. He silently started chewing on his food as the girl piped up in a surprisingly cheerful voice.

"Anyway, It's nice ta meet you two!~ In fact, it looks like we're all from the same class." She said with a chuckle. "By the way, my name's Rika! How about you guys?" She finished. Naganori just realized that they were indeed classmates of his, as he vaguely remembered faces like theirs during the morning classes. "My name is Naganori Tadayoshi. It's a pleasure to meet you, Rika." He said in a somewhat blank tone of voice. He partly wanted to ask her what was making her so angry a while ago, but he decided he might as well let it go. There wasn't really much point in asking unless she started fuming again.

"Are... you two friends?" Naganori asked the girl while studying the two of them, wondering what an outspoken person like Rika was doing with a shy guy like the boy seated next to her.
Still shaking off some of the glitter that was dropped in the opening ceremony, Naganori followed the others as they filed into their classroom. He took a seat at the far side of the room near where the doors were, and opposite of the windows. It made it easier to exit the room, as well as being distant enough from where the rowdier students usually sat so that he could focus better on the lessons. Their homeroom teacher introduced himself as Mr. Akida. He was the man wearing the Roman helmet back during the ceremony. Though the mohawk of the helmet seemed to have gotten glitter stuck in it. Distracting as it was to have the helmet reflect the lights of the room like that, Naganori tried to not notice it.

Despite the eccentric get-up of their teacher, it was clear that he was someone whom rules were important to,and not to be trifled with. With that in mind, Naganori remained seated quietly, with a pen in his hand and a notebook on the table as their history lesson began.

It didn't take long for their morning lessons to pass by, and for lunch hour to arrive. After their teacher dismissed them, Naganori made sure his packed lunch was still inside his bag before heading out of the room. He had heard that this school, unlike most, actually had a cafeteria similar to foreign and international schools. He decided to eat there if only just to check it out. And besides, if there was a place like that, then they probably expected the students to be eating there.

Arriving at the cafeteria, he was dismayed to see the place almost fully crowded, with all of the tables occupied. Heck, there were even students sitting or standing on the corners to eat their food. He would have preferred eating alone (as he didn't want to intrude on anybody who may be eating with their friends), but he didn't really have much of a choice. He found a table that still had some free spots, where an American-looking boy and a small, very pale-skinned girl were seated. The girl seemed to be talking to the boy and neither noticed Naganori approach.

"I... Hope I'm not interrupting anything, but... would it be alright if I ate here? None of the other spots around the place are free." He asked, hoping they would be nice enough to allow him.
Very unusual MC design, pretty interested as to how the game goes =). On another note, my schedule is finally lighter, and I should get a post up within 10 hours (after a good night's sleep as this has been a pretty day). I don't care if it will be shorter than I originally planned, I just wanna get a goddamn post up as soon as I can

Edit; And... post is up! It's a little short yeah XD. However, I should be able to be more active from now on =)
There, finally got a post up. Deal with that situation as you survivors wish XD. Wilson, you may be in whichever squad you wish (Alpha, Bravo, or Charlie), just make sure you detail it in your first post. By the way, the bodies they dropped off the roof may or may not be in the direction of the convenience store... =3. Just a heads up in case any of you try to investigate.
Lionel

In response to his call, a female soldier approached him and crouched down near the edge of the building in the direction of the parking lot. Lionel crouched down next to her. "I'll act as a spotter for now. Keep your sights on Bravo Squad and I'll let you know of any incoming threats. The sniper nodded silently.

Lionel clicked on his radio again. "Bravo, what's your status?" He asked. "Sir, we've cleared the roof. We're dropping the bodies over the edge now and are preparing to head down. I don't think we can stay up here much longer. That noise is sure to have attracted more of them" The squad leader answered. "Copy that. Just make sure you drop them on the side opposite of the exit you're going to be leaving through. And watch your backs, we'll try to cover you, but the pillars and debris are going to block our sight." Lionel replied. "Yes sir." Bravo leader answered again.

Lionel adjusted his goggles and scanned the parking structure. Bravo was making their way down one floor, while a creature seemed to be kneeling behind a wrecked car, hidden from Bravo's line of sight. "Hostile, a few meters ahead of Bravo squad. Crouched behind a car." Lionel said to the sniper. The female soldier adjusted her aim, and fired after two seconds, sending a loud crack through the air. Lionel watched the infected fall over. "That's a hit." He confirmed. He then clicked on his radio again to speak with Bravo Squad. "Don't bother messing with any bodies you come across, just keep heading down. Once you're on street-level, find a defensible position to hole up in until further orders." He said. "Yes sir! The squad leader replied as the team kept moving forward quickly, keeping an eye on their surroundings.

Lionel returned to searching the parking building for any more infected. "Two more. One floor below Bravo. Next to that busted pick-up truck." He pointed out, keeping his fingers on the adjustment dial of his goggles. The sniper adjusted her aim, and then fired a shot. She then took another few seconds to target the next one, before firing another round. The 2nd Infected dropped dead just as Bravo squad reached that floor. Lionel kept on scanning around, but failed to find any more infected in the building. He activated his radio. "I don't see any of them anymore. But keep your eyes peeled, they might be hiding in our blind spots." He said. "Understood, sir. We're keeping an eye out." the squad leader said.

For a while, it was smooth sailing. There didn't seem to be any more infected lurking around the building. Bravo Squad had reached the second to the last level when Lionel spotted strange movement. "I got something. One floor below them. On ground-level. It's pretty dark, but I think I saw a silhouette." He said to the sniper. Lionel spotted something else as soon as he finished speaking. "Make that two silhouettes..." He added. Bravo squad had just arrived on the ground floor, when some kind of swift movement. He switched to Nightvision mode.

"Shit, that's infected. Take them out!" Lionel ordered. The sniper fired, but the shot hit a concrete pillar behind the moving shadows. "They're fast..." The sniper said with a hint of a Russian accent. She fired again, and managed to hit the body of one, staggering it, but it was still standing. "Bravo team! You got two infected coming in fast, watch out!" Lionel said quickly. Looking down, he saw gunfire lighting up the ground floor, and the infected closing the distance on the soldiers. However, the infected were cut down before they got within a dangerous range. Bravo Squad quickly sprinted out of the building.

"Bravo, what's your status?" Lionel asked through the radio. "Operational and all men accounted for, sir. We're now searching for- FUCK!" The squad leader exclaimed before being cut off. Lionel looked at them, and saw one of their soldiers being grabbed by the leg by an infected stuck underneath fallen rubble. The squad fired upon it and managed to make it dormant. "Is your squadmate alright?" Lionel asked. "I... don't know sir. We'll have the medic look at him once we're somewhere safe." Bravo leader replied. "Alright, make it quick. Me and Charlie are going to scout for a place to set up a camp before linking up with you. Hold out until then. And get some distance from the parking lot, all that gunfire is sure to have attracted more of them there." He concluded.

Lionel got up from his prone position, and gestured at one of his other soldiers. "You, get over here and act as a spotter for our sniper. Keep Bravo squad covered until they're out of sight." He ordered. He then looked around the vast city-scape for a good place to create a base and evacuation center. "This was a Hell of a rough start... Better hope nothing worse goes wrong until we have a camp set up." He thought.
