Current Trying to get back into the swing of things (for a 2nd time!)

Bio

Hi there I'm Rultaos, or simply Rult as some of my friends call me. I first got into RP'ing on two different sites back when I was in High School. The forums of the games Minecraft and Spiral Knights. Both had game-related RP's, as well as off-topic ones regarding fantasy and sci-fi. This was around 3-4 years ago. I wasn't really good at it back then, but I met a lot of great people and feel like I really improved since then.

For any of you who are curious, this was one of my biggest RP undertakings before I got into this site (My username also comes from this as a tribute to it!). It's not really a very well-written roleplay (or a very well-managed one for that matter). But it really meant a lot to me because of how far it went, how long it survived, and how it inspired my fellow players there. It always fills me with a sense of nostalgia whenever I glance at it in my bookmarks...

I got into RPGuild back when it was still using the old server (the one that got taken down after Mahz got behind on his pay and the providers ended their service without warning). I was pretty bummed when this happened because I was already actively participating in a number of roleplays, and I could only stay in contact with a select few guildmates on the Facebook group. Eventually, the long wait was over, and the site was given renewed life after a few bumps in the road that guildmaster Mahz faced in his attempts to resurrect this place. It was a good day for many including myself when this site slowly started getting more and more features.

2014 was my second year in college and was a very stressful time for me. Mostly concerning academics, with a few occasional problems regarding friends and fellow students alike. Because of this, I had to suddenly drop out of roleplaying for a while in order to have the time to get my real life back in order.

Now, I've returned to the site, and am hoping to get back into the groove of roleplaying and make more great friends and have even greater adventures through whatever huge universe your brilliant minds can think of! If you wanna invite me to play, or even just have a friendly chat about anything, send a message my way and I'll reply as soon as I can =)

For those of you who are wondering, my roleplay interests include: Sci-Fi, Military, sometimes Fantasy, a Fandom one if I'm familiar with the source material, heck I'd be willing to dabble in an Apocalypse setting as well. I'm also willing to try new things as well if it seems fascinating enough. So hit me up with an idea any time and I'd be happy to share my thoughts with you.

Well, I feel like I've used up enough for your time. Thanks for caring enough to read all this, and I hope you enjoy your roleplay adventures as much as I have in the past and the present ^_^

Any fellas still here? Also, I think we should just keep moving. This certain someone Lionheart needs something from is taking a really long while and it's holding us up a bunch...
Well... That promise of IC continuation is kinda taking a while...
Whatever happens, I'm hoping we get a move on soon. From my experience with RP's, long gaps of inactivity tend to make some players lose motivation to keep playing, Though I'm hoping that doesn't happen here. In any case, I'll be sticking around as long as there are others still posting.

@Apollo, cool, but there are a couple issues with your character before I accept him...
- It should be a picture of his face so people know what he looks like, because the depictions of armors are already provided
- Most of your personality section is less about his personality and more about what he can do.
- Regarding your bio, how come the gunmen killed the parents in their home, but not the children who were in the home?
- I'm going to make an executive ruling against bows. I'm not a particular fan of atypical/unorthodox weapons in a military setting. Unless its experimental weapons for the plot.
- I'm fine with him being devoid of most cybertechnology, but all 101st Operators will have at the very least a standard neural interface in their heads. Also keep in mind that lack of tech might work positively as well as negatively for him.

May I also add that he doesn't seem to have read the rules...
-----Double post. Please ignore and move along. Nothing to see here---
Another man is missing in action it seems =/. While I'm here, may I suggest myy and Whoami's character be added to the rosters for easy access to the sheets if need be?
It appears the elusive detail is still escaping our mighty GM... While the Guild bards sing of the prophecy that one day it shall be found...
Spending months in space, being told again and again that the assignment you were about to go into would shake the thin balance of peace in several galaxies, did not do much to calm the nerves. Clifford was fully aware that this mission was one he could not afford to fail, and he was willing to do everything in his power to make sure of that, even if he had to pay with his own life. "Still... I shouldn't be stupid and let myself die if I can still be useful." he said to himself, knowing there was a difference between devotion, and fanaticism. With those final thoughts, he entered the hangar of the UEN Subtle Glory to prepare for the drop to the surface.

His father once brought him aboard the Glaring Zeal when it was docked on Mareega when he was much younger. Clifford noticed the differences between a warship like the Zeal, and a stealth frigate like the Subtle Glory. For one, the hangar and other structures were much smaller, and had only the bare essentials. He saw the Coalition VTOL that was going to be used for their insertion. A holographic square formed around it, scanning the vehicle and immediately began displaying information on it in a smaller square which appeared on the right corner of his vision:

[VTOL: COALITION MODEL: OUTMODED]
[10 PASSENGERS]
[30mm CHAIN GUN]
[2 DUMB ROCKET PODS]

Adjusting the duffel bag in his hands containing all his gear, while making sure his Goliath Corp. Kevlar suit jacket looked neat in case they had to pass any inspectors, he made his way into the rear entrance of the VTOL where the rest of the strike team was already waiting. Clifford nodded at them without a word as his eyes began scanning his team. He already knew who they were, as well as their backgrounds, but a final reminder of who he was working with couldn't hurt. The first person he laid his eyes on was their team leader, Matthew Sykes.

[SYKES, MATTHEW]
[CALLSIGN: APEX]
[101st SPEC. FORCES LEGION]
[7TH COMPANY]
[ROLE: TEAM LEADER]
[SPECIALIZATION: TACTICIAN, COVERT OPS]

Clifford turned to him and gave a quick salute before he took a seat on the opposite side of the dropship. He then looked at the strongly-built woman seated nearby.

[CAMPBELL, ASHE]
[CALLSIGN: BOOMSTICK]
[101st SPEC. FORCES LEGION]
[3RD COMPANY]
[ROLE: POINT MAN]
[SPECIALIZATION: CLOSE QUARTER COMBAT]

After completely scanning her, looked at the younger fellow inside the dropship, who seemed to be almost happy.

[CLINT, LUCAS]
[CALLSIGN: GHOSTY]
[101st SPEC. FORCES LEGION]
[ROLE: SCOUT, TRACKER]
[SPECIALIZATION: STEALTH]

Clifford did not have time to scan the other member of the team before he felt the rumble of the dropship as it prepared for take-off. Clifford took a deep breath to calm himself, and held tight as the ship began penetrating Liria's atmosphere.
The first obstacle in their way would be the inspecting patrol ships. However, as long as thir uniforms and duffel bags did their job, the inspectors would pass them by without a hitch, and they did. Once the team was approaching the target building, everyone tore open their duffel bags and prepared their weapons. Though their armor would have to wait until they had a safehouse. Opening his own bag, Clifford pulled out his ACS and began setting it to Carbine mode with a suppressor Once the attachments clicked into place, he slid it inside the front of his suit where he could easily reach it. He then prepared his GX Tactical and ensured that the silencers and laser sights were working, before holstering them on his waist. He also took out his Biogel pack, and one Electron Grenade in case things got hairy. Once his equipment was fully prepared, he took out his ACS to be prepared for any hostiles who may be on the roof landing.

"Ready?" Matthew asked them as they were about to land. Clifford nodded in response. "Sir, yes sir" He said. In a matter of moments, the doors opened and the skyline of Liria was revealed. A lone PSF guard came to intercept them, but Matthew made quick work of the man. The team then neatly filed out of the VTOL.

Ashe immediately went to hide the body of the guard, while Clifford himself started scanning the rooftop for additional enemies, Carbine at the ready. "Roof is clear!" He announced as he regrouped with the rest of them before they breached the building. Ashe as the first person inside as the team's point man and CQC specialist. Clifford followed up the rear, keeping an eye behind the team, while also prepared to give mid-ranged support in case they got into a firefight. Immediately, the elevators door nearby opened and revealed a small squad of guards. But before any of them could even react, Ashe immediately peppered them all with bullets, leaving a bloody mess inside of the elevator.

There was one guard who was still alive, and Ashe finished him off with a powerful curb stomp that smashed his head in. "A bullet would've been quicker and less messy..." Clifford said to her quietly as the bodies were pulled out of the elevator, and the team began their descent into the building. Clifford never did like close combat, mainly because long ranged rifles gave him more confidence than his bare fists. Unfortunately, it seemed for the most part of this mission, they would be battling their way through close quarters. Wondering what may come next, Clifford stood in silence as the bloody elevator kept going.
Thanks! I'll get my first post up in a little bit =)
It took MUCH longer than I had expected, but I finally managed to put together a CS. Let me know if there's anything I need to change. Here's hoping you guys are still open at the moment, though I'll understand if you aren't. Also, I'd like to say that I was very interested by the 180-turn of "Ghosty's" character; from street-harvester/thug to UEE-Ghost fanboy, haha
