Bio

In my spare time I like to make beats/music on my laptop, spend time with my lovely fianceé, and day dream. Watching movies is a favorite activity for me, but sometimes I need space to myself and don't want to do anything but curl up on the couch and sip hot tea while Frank Ocean sings in the background. It's a toss up. Sometimes I don't want to write, sometimes I'm going through things and just can't be bothered to search for my muse. If I'm going through that, I will always let a partner know.

If I need to drop for whatever reason, I will let you know. I'm a stickler for effort when it comes to our IC post, and I really do try to sprinkle my posts with some love and magic to give my partner something to work with.

I really just expect the same courtesy from my partners, and basic respect for boundaries and not getting too comfortable with me too fast. I will never rush anyone to post and again, expect the same decency. However, if it has been a month without a post or word from you, it will just be an automatic drop. No hard feelings, but on to better things.

W/ love, Sailor Moon

I bitched out on the second Dead Space after a demo, so don't feel bad. And you need to play Fatal Frame, one of the greatest Japanese horror games EVER!!! \m/ And yes I have to agree fully with Audition. Even I can't watch it, same with Ju-On.

So I've heard hehe. Guess I'll need to get that.
Bondage
"Can't we just kill her and search the castle for it instead? Her voice...it's driving me mad!" The brute said gruffly, his face twisted into an ugly scowl underneath his helmet as The Princess struggled over his shoulder. One good whack over the head with the hilt of his blade might shut her up, but... he wasn't allowed. No matter how tempting it was.Clang! The Brute's head jerked to the side as Crystal elbowed the knight's helm repeatedly, his ears ringing something terrible. For such a small woman, he had to that admit she is feisty. Lord Vaross did mention that about her...but he also said the Princess' Royal Attendant was much worse. It was the reason he separated them, but none of the dark knights expected them to come waltzing right into their hands on the Dark Lord's first day back in Alegasia.

"Save your anger until we arrive, friend. Right now she is to remain unharmed." Leif remained calm, but The Princess' screams were starting to grate on his nerves as well. Perhaps it would be best if they did shut her up before Aldo got too angry. He wasn't even half as bad as Bayzil, but he knew his companion could crush The Princess with his bare hands if he lost control...and that would put them both in an unfavorable position. Leif stopped in his tracks and unwrapped the thick rope draped across his armor, heaving an irritated sigh whilst rolling his eyes. Running his fingers along the yellow rope, he approached Aldo, motioning with his head to hold Crystal still, but both appeared to be having trouble taming the woman. As soon as Leif attempted to tie the rope around The Princess' ankles, he got a swift kick to the front of the helm, crunching his nose under the pressure. "Ooof!" He stumbled back and pressed a hand to his nose briefly, clenching his fists afterwards and trying again.
"Hold her still!" He growled to the other knight, prompting Aldo to restrain Crystal as best he could, leaving her over his shoulder. Leif hastily tied her ankles together, and then her hands, right behind her back like a prisoner.. Standing behind Aldo now, Leif gazed into The Princess' amethyst eyes from underneath his own helm, a look of apathy on his face. He hated Alegasia more than anything, but their Royalty... There were no words that could describe how much he loathed them.

Crystal kept her lips pressed together, knowing very well that the next time she parted them the monsters would gag her. At the moment, all she could do was wriggle around like a caterpillar, but she was also wasting their time. If they stayed in this spot, there was a greater chance that Irina could find her and...save her. No way had Irina fallen back there, not to these men. She didn't want to believe it, but Irina still hadn't shown up for her. Being optimistic was increasingly difficult with the turn of events. I can't give up though...not now. Who knew what these knights had in store for her? She hung her head in defeat.

Leif did not want to waste another second standing around. With a grunt, he threw the rope back over his body before leaving their side and continuing their journey through the forest. Aldo followed suit.

If you want tension, the first Halloween is a good choice. The original, that is. Or watch The Descent. But not the sequel. Or pick a Hitchcock movie. Or do what I do and watch Audition again. Kirikirikirikiri. Audition is an excellent movie for tension building in horror films. The whole movie is a build to the final scenes, but the way it builds them is genuinely unnerving. You never know what is truly going on, only that something is very suspicious. And then that last ten minutes happens and it's so good.

I love the descent! I think the sequel was pretty alright, too. :3
I couldn't handle Dead Space. :<

Also, still have not played Fatal Frame. I really want to.
I'm going to get a post up in a bit. :3

What did you two like in Paranormal Activity? The movie was so boring. It's a movie where nothing happens and then sometimes a door closes. That's the whole movie. Well that and one of the biggest douchebags ever put to film being a total douchebag the whole time. On the tenth time something was about to happen and then nothing did, I literally shouted in the theater. In frustration. Most found footage movies are by design really stupid because they are based on the conceit that you know the ending going in (the one with the camera is dead) but they all have to drum up excuses for why the person is still holding the camera instead of doing the smart thing. It even happened in Chronicle, where "Oh by the way I'm making the camera fly with my superpowers, whatever, it's cool." As far as Saw goes, Saw was fine before they tried to get smart with it. When it was just the first guy doing his whole 'I'm teaching people to appreciate their lives' thing, that was a neat little twist on the evil serial killer. Once they started adding in helpers and it just became a vessel for traps and 'twists' it lost all of its heart and charm, The more convoluted the movies/traps got, the less interesting the movies got as a result. And with Final Destination, with the exception of 4 and 5, I genuinely liked those movies. For different reasons. The first one, like Saw, was just an interesting concept and featured creative, but still sort of plausible deaths to fit its narrative. The second was more of the same. The third I liked because of three reasons. Mary. Elizabeth. Winstead. The fourth one was just ughhhhhhh and the fifth one tried to be cute with its ending. There's a trend there. The trend is that the first movies in long running franchises are the 'best'. Probably because they are the most pure. Once the series goes on, it falls victim to its own expectations. As far as horror games go...I liked Outlast before it got dumb at the end. I like my horror games to be more atmospheric, like Silent Hill. That game is so effective as a horror game because it uses its environment to create tension, which is what you want. Something like Resident Evil doesn't get me in terms of horror because they give you ammunition to deal with things. Resident Evil 6 is an action game. An action game that tries to be a greatest hits of events from its own series. Like the whole Nemesis thing from RE3 being re-used in RE6. FATAL FRAME 2, BEST HORROR GAME.

I liked Paranormal Activity because it makes me personally want to know more, and it's jumpy... I like being jumpy lol. x] The first one scared me a lot. I like the found footage movies USUALLY, like Cloverfield... I loved Cloverfield. I also like Jeepers Creepers(just throwing that out there). >.> I just don't have a specific taste in movies, certain things just appeal to me randomly. Final Destination was good, the fourth one was really bad though... Seemed like a Low budget Syfy film honestly.

The thing about Paranormal Activity is that (if you believe in that stuff) if a ghost or poltergeist was haunting your home, it might go a lot like that. doors closing, strange sounds, foot steps... Stuff like that.

I have yet to see The Green Inferno, but after hearing its inspiration is Cannibal Holocaust, then I definitely need to check it out. And while I am harsh on Roth for some questionable things, I will say I did enjoy the first Hostel and Cabin Fever. My view is Roth being one of the directors responsible for the apparent increase in Torture Porn movies, which some were enjoyable, but others were just too idiotic and overly-cliched. The first Paranormal Activity scared the shit out of me, so I will vouch for that, but everything else that followed was just rotting fish in the barrel. Seriously, the movie would've done best as just ONE SINGLE MOVIE instead of a series, same way I feel about the SAW franchise. Gore in a way is essential to horror. It's that part of us that makes us question the human heart, how far a person is willing to go, but that's only to some extent in movies. If gore is done right, by either portraying it realistically or shying away from it, only leaving the mind to wonder and conjure our own interpretation of the horror, then yes I agree with that totally, but.....when you're flinging organs and brain matter at the screen for the entire duration of the film *coughFinalDestinationcough* then yes....I'm going to brutalize you with a golf trophy for being stupid and unoriginal. <.<This is mostly why I stick to horror games, and by that I mean NO RESIDENT EVIL....except for 1 and 4 which were the best out of the series IMO.

I love most of the Resident Evil Games. 6 was pretty good imo. Also like Clocktower and Haunting Grounds. :3

While Eli Roth wasn't responsible for horror movies being devolved to crappy schlock (seriously, say what you will about the guy, it's clear he loves his old school horror flicks), word on the grapevine is that his latest, The Green Inferno, is actually good. I mean, it's inspired by Cannibal Holocaust so there's that. Really, my thoughts on horror movies is this: The fact that a movie like Paranormal Activity can be praised and regarded as one of the scariest movies ever proves one of two things. That people are easily scared by nothing, hence the recent trend of horror movies being nothing but 'quiet quiet quiet quiet LOUD NOISE quiet quiet quiet LOUD NOISE' or that standards are so low, that a movie where nothing happens for 80 minutes and then the ultimate loud noise at the end counts as genuine horror. Then again, I hate it when horror movies rely on gore, since that's not horror.

I find the first two and the last paranormal activity to be fun to watch, but it's not scary. I like Insidious though. :3 There are a couple that came out that were good, but I can't even remember all the titles at the moment.

I think if you're going to the movies with a critics pov then you'll find it's not a good movie, but most people go to enjoy themselves and they are pretty enjoyable.

I am very critical about movies and stuff. It's kind of why my friends don't like going to see summer blockbusters with me anymore, because after the movie they'll all be saying how awesome it was and I'll be the one person going "Oh my god that was terrible."

Lol. That's hilarious. x] I generally only say that after horror movies, because they get increasingly worse. Everything else though, I'm cool with it.
