Hi I'm a proactive, can-do modern man. I'm also interested in running stuff through Roll20 (though I've never GMed before), or joining the games of others ran through that site or similar programs/services. PM for further deets.

Hokey recoiled at the sudden disappearance of Roxy. As he poured through the readouts that flooded his brain, his confusion only exacerbated. None of his scanners could explain to him what had just occurred. She was there one moment, gone the next. He even played the recording of the scene over again, this time in slow motion, but this brought him no closer to the answers he desired. She had indeed just vanished. "The fuck? And I thought I was fast." He thought.

Hokey rose to his feet and shifted out of the way to allow the massive frame of Crusher clearance to the door. "That's the ticket. Getting treated as if you're in a collar and leash sucks, I know, but it's how any progress is made." He said approvingly. "No idea what the hell they'll train you with in the gym, though, big guy. I reckon they got a telegraph pole with a tank welded to each end. They're the only weights that could challenge you." He joked. "See you inside." He called after him.

Hokey glanced around. Ah yes, just one more. Ariella. He trotted over to her table and poked his fanged face only several inches away from her's. "Why so glum?" He asked. "Were you not just told to head to the gym? I mean, I'm not gonna..." His teeth snap in a mock-threat as his voice continues from the speakers situated somewhere on his being. "... Do anything particularly severe, if you catch my drift, but Vlad's the boss around here. What he says goes, y'know?"
Tex folded his arms and nodded as he listened along. He seemed quite intent to observe this fellow magic user and what he was capable of. As he watched him magically heal the wound, he pouted ever so slightly. As Zeetah asked him whether he himself was capable of such things, his head shrunk low ever so slightly, as if some of his previous enthusiasm had been knocked out of him. "I... can't... say I can. Healing magic is, uh, something I never learned, truth be told." He stammered nervously. He suddenly regained his composure, standing upright again. "But, I can teach you teleportation, illusions, some conjuration... oodles of stuff. I--" He cut himself off with one of his coughs. "Oh, right. New company." He extended a hand cautiously towards the new reptilian. "Tex." His right eye glanced over to Zeetah. "Oh, nearly forgot about you..." He extends his other hand to the frog. "Also Tex. Pleased to meet the both of you."
Greetings. I'm hoping that Tex will hop in or else that someone else will start/continue their scenes.

Never fear, kitty wizard is here. Sorry, was just enrolling for University. I'll be getting a post up ASAP. Edit: There we go. A little rushed, admittedly, but at least it's something. I apologize for keeping y'all waiting.
A brief succession of peculiar unarticulated, trilling sounds escaped the mechanical hound after Felice grumbled in his direction and headed for the hall. It sounded as if Hokey was amused by his displeasure, if anything. He did not show any hint of at all remorsing for perhaps going too far with his commanding, pushy demeanor. He shifted over to the door frame and waited by its side as he monitored the remaining stragglers. It was also as good a time as any to make up for lost time examining what would from now on be his comrades. The one called "Crusher" most immediately caught his attention. How could it ever be otherwise? He stood head and shoulders above the rest of the occupants, even "Shane", who his scanners had measured as around six feet tall. Of even more interest, his computers informed him that this "Crusher" was, like him, a cybernetic organism, given the power signatures criss-crossing his body. While not technologically enhanced to the extreme extent Hokey was, he was nonetheless a fellow augment. "I'll have to get to know that one," he thought. "Or be wary of him." He added. He returned his attention to Shane. Shane was the only one that Hokey was already familiar with, as coincidence would have it. "There's the one that technician was mad about. Patterson, I think? Yeah. Patterson. Patterson had said he was sick of Shane upstaging him whenever he came by. He must be really good at what he does, if he was able to make even Patterson look like an idiot. Another one to keep my eyes on, I think." Finally, there were Roxy and Ariella. "Now these two are tough to place. I guess I'll know what powers they've got when they show them off. It'd be handy if we were actually issued briefings, so we know who we're working with." At that last bitter note, his fangs clenched again for a moment. "Roxy looks like the sort of girl pop would kill me for talking to, though. I know that much." As the other occupants took longer than anticipated to sort out their business, Hokey laid down lazily as he patiently waited.
Must just be me. Say, while we're talking about physiological abnormalities, is it normal for my arms to protrude from my ears? I've always wanted to know.
They can be, when one can escape from them without bleeding out of their eyes, nostrils and mouth.
I'm also interested in seeing how he'll interact with my character, being a fellow magic user. Friendship? Rivalry? Who knows! In any case, welcome aboard.
The more the merrier! Except for when there's too many, in which case there's something of a merry overload, and all our neurons sizzle.
Aboard the Vraikanese turret ship Adventure Capitalist Captain Ruhk's eyes were near inseparable from his scissor periscope the moment he received a report from one of the rocket glider aviators that he had sighted a group of ships passing through the area on his last sweep. A young officer eager to prove himself, he had rushed his vessel ahead of the rest of the formation to get to his quarry first. While this would be a serious breach of conduct in most any other service, the Vraikanese encouraged taking initiative and action. The fact that the ship's meterologist had reported a storm was rolling in only added to the foolishness of his endeavour, but he was not to be deterred. Unfortunately for the legs of everyone onboard, the Adventure Capitalist was of an older make than most of the other ships of the fleet, and suffered from a low freeboard, as many earlier designs did. Consequently, the raging waves were liable to wash over the deck, leaving all of the crew drenched and miserable. All except Captain Ruhk, who seemed far too focused on his daydreaming of glory to come to care. Soon enough Ruhk spotted the distant smoke erupting from the funnels of steamships visible on the horizon. He grinned broadly. However, the members of the crew who ventured to look back behind them found that their own fleet was even farther behind them than their target was close to them. This only exacerbated their bad mood. Ruhk at last parted from the periscope and rushed out to the very tip of the bow of the ship. He drew his officer's saber and pointed it directly ahead of him. "Look! There they are! Shoot them! Shoot them lots! Perforate theeem!" He cried. Joji, his gunnery officer, calmly walked up to him and tapped him the shoulder. "Firstly, they are much too far away. Second of all, our turrets, given their arrangement, can only fire to port or starboard. I know you previously served upon one of our more modern vessels that is capable of what you demand of us, but you mustn't forget that this one is not that one." He explained, then sighed. "You're getting ahead of yourself." "No, get the ship ahead of myself! I--I mean, increase speed! Bring us close enough to see their ludicrously ugly paint jobs!" Ruhk demanded. Joji shook his head. "Third of all, I am in charge of your guns. Nothing more. Fourth and hopefully finally of all, the engine is already damaged from the strain you've been putting upon it for the last few days of travel. The machinists have already warned you against overloading the coal furnace any further." Ruhk sighed and dropped cross legged, his hands on his cheeks. This only exacerbated his drenching, but he did not seem to mind. What he did mind was that he couldn't get those ships -now-!
