The Norweigan oilfields both power the country and give them the needed money with which they import minerals and goods that the Holy Scandinavian Empire can't obtain within their own lands. They also use their technologies as a trading for money which they'll use to produce the higher end technologies which are off-limits to other countries.
Foreign Policy:
Whilst the borders of the country are heavily locked down and under constant military watch there are some checkpoints one could use to enter the country with legitimate ID and other necessary information. However the soldiers often point you in the other direction no matter what you do, since it's a mixture of national policy and individual national pride. The airspace around the Holy Scandinavian Empire is highly monitored and not even commercial flight's or any other non-military aircraft are allowed to enter, and if they do they are threatend to be shot down. The Holy Scandinavian Empire is highly secretive to the outsider and non-citizen. The empire isn't very active in the global scene except being one of the largest trade hubs in Europe.
History:
During the Scandinavian gathering between all the scandinavian nations and their prime ministers during 2014 the descition to create a strong trade and military bond was accepted and the scandinavian nations were now closer united then ever, the United Parlament was chosen to unitedly rule the five countries and their respective colonies. (Greenland) After that memorable rallying the scandinavian nations started working greatly together, and with the awkward actions of Russia and Ukraine the military development and research started to sky rocket, however all this was secret, factories disguised as car assembly plants produced tanks and aircraft's, weapons and ammunition. Clothing factories were disguised and instead produced armor and protective gear.
The scientifical capabilities of the nation was rather limited untill the nations had produced suiting research stations and observatories into the mountains or underground where their research would not be affected by anything. During the time span of 10 years their accomplishments would outweigh almost any nation, secretly becoming a super power in the current world and during the tension between all the nations one year before the start of the Third World War the Scandinavian nations made it very clear that they were going to remain neutral, and they kept their promise during the first couple of years of the war, whilst other nations exhausted their resources and manpower the Scandinavian nations remained untouched and acted as a safe-haven for immigrants, boosting it's population greatly.
During 2030 the Scandinavian nations united together under a single banner, that of the Holy Scandinavian Empire, other nations took aggressive notice towards this delceration however were too strained on their fronts, the incredible super power of Russia was targeted 2030, November 19th by the Legionairy system of the Holy Scandinavian Empire and fell flat on their faces as the technological advantage of the 15th, 19th and 17th legions rolled through the under-siege Finland, liberated it and started to roll into the Russian mainland. During the year 2031 the Holy Scandinavian Emperor was declared, his former name was Sture Alfredsson, however as a rise to power he was re-named
Sigismund the First of Scandinavia.The scandinavian unity was only a matter of fact and the people of each nation protested for it many times. However the transformation into an imperial power was not something that the people were expecting, however surprisingly it joyed most of the populace and the Prime Minister of Sweden was the clear candidate for the Emperor's position, the Empire-wide vote would be the single democratic thing that the people would have to do in that nation. The first laws the Emperor declared stated that he would gain Absolute Monarchy over the Empire, and he disguised it so well within the other positive laws that the citizen of the nation had no clue that they were placed in an Imperial cage of absolute rulership.
At 2034 the 17th legion had arrived at the outskirts of Moscow, their path here had been deadly and filled with rebelious russian citizen's walking in their way, however their arrival at the countries capital had been complete and the demies of the Russian spirit would be nearly absolute if this city would be to be captured. The armies they came across during their crusade for the Russian capital were gradually getting stronger and ever more desperate, however the Scandinavian had one thing which gave them the advantage during this battle. Their technological advantage, and their
Crusader Armor.The first of it's kind in the world of reality, and long before it's designated time, however the Imperial Unity and the Scandinavian Scientists behind the militaries developments gave them this gift. The Crusader Armor would become the building base of which they would proceed to work upon, adding or removing parts from the Crusader armor would be the development of new armors, simply because it was more economy friendly. The railgun project was tested during the 5th of July, 2037 and it's destructive abilities were astounding, the Emperor demanded this to be outfitted upon the Imperial Navy, the AirDome project was also revealed that day, and the Emperor personally funded it, it would not be finished untill a month after the war, however. The AirDome project consists of high frequency lasers capable of heating aircraft's to the point of scorching the internal instruments and leaving the aircraft falling and on-fire.
The Holy Scandinavian Empire was left unscaved except for Finland, therefor it gave the Emperor the chance to demand the construction of an Imperial Palace and a Hundred different Imperial symbols in building format. Each of them would be as large as a cathedral and the Imperial Palace would be three times the foundation of a cathedral, at the very front of the palace would be a massive parading street, the surrounding area would become the new Empires capital;
Thrones Keep. It finished construction a month ago and the city is now filled with people, an entire 6 milion inhabitants.
The Scan-Russian war left the Russian Spirit shattered when the 17th Legion pierced the Moscow defences, however right before conquest of the entire city they left for their homeland, Emperor Sigismund spoke with the current Russian Prime Minister and it ended with Emperor Sigismund gaining ground further into russia, leaving Saint Petersburg in Scandinavian hands, that and everything behind Saint Peterburg, which would include the Kola peninsula and any land between Saint Petersburg and the Kola peninsula, that means any land between these two points are now under Scandinavian controll, with that peace was declared between the two during the Victory Parade in Thrones Keep, it would inaugurate Sigismund Street, both a parading street and square and a highway which connects the entire part of Finland, Norway and Sweden.
During 2038 the Holy Scandinavian Empire ceased it's war activity and became isolationistic in nature, nothing is truly known about the Holy Scandinavian Empire beyond 2038 by anyone outside the borders of the empire. The only activity beyond the border watch in 3 years will come in three weeks, the Imperial Ceramony at Thrones Keep, it will be broadcast world-wide.
Foes:
- Russia is the most hated foe in the Holy Scandinavian Empire's mind, they fought in WW3 and took quite the bit of land from the Russian's hands, therefor the Scan-Russian border is under high tension with military on each side for each country, it is another battle of quality versus quantity, with the Russians choosing to have the higher number.
- Lithuania is also a target for the Scandinavian rage, it is mostly because the Scandinavian Emperor views the country, together with it's two neighbors to be of high strategical importance, granting the Scandinavian Empire a second foothold in Europe and another front to fight the Russian upon.
- Litvia is a foe for the same reasons as Lithuania.
- Estonia is a foe for the same reasons as Lithuania and Litvia.

Rebellion is very much an issue, however it's disclosed due to the isolationism of the Empire itself, they have isolated themselves from the surrounding world and have a neutral global position of a... Ghost like force. The Imperial Ceremony is the largest and longest appearence of the Emperor himself, whilst Thrones Keep is surrounded by great walls and a dominant military police force on constant watch there could always be some rebel which sneaked in. The Imperial Ceremony is basically the celebration of the Emperors Birthday.
