Adelisa almost jumped out of her skin when Grant sat down next to her and she sighed. "You know I'm nothing like Delilah." She smirked solemnly. Maybe that's why we broke up in the first place she thought. She looked at Grant and said "you look good, Grant." She stood from her seat as she finished off the last of her vodka and said "but your friend over there?" -pointing at Jareth- "not so much. You should go help him get cleaned up."
She walked away. It wasn't the easiest moment, and talking to Grant didn't help her self-esteem, but she knew she had too. She swayed her hips as she left, but looked at Jareth one final time and saying "I really want that guitar back. Got it?" before smirking slightly. "Also, you've got a bit of martini… well… everywhere." With that, she left the claustrophobic restaurant and made her way to the beach.
She hadn't noticed she was crying until a tear fell on her lip. She wiped them away and sighed. How was it okay that, even though Grant and her remained friends, she still cried after he and her part ways? Oh, she knew. It was because of the reason they broke up. Only their close friends knew about their relationship. Not even their parents knew and they had been dating for a while. How could she not notice that everytime they hung out, it was somewhere no one else would notice?
She shook her head and took in a deep breath. Adelisa, calming herself down, walked over to a few lounge chairs on the beach in the line of view of the restaurant. She grinned slightly and bent down to adjust the lounge chair to her preference. As she did so, she heard someone clear their throat behind her and she jumped up and turned. It was tattoo guy from the restaurant. He was with a group of friends and she noticed one of those friends being the guy Delilah was eyeing. She grinned flirtatiously and said "well, what brings you boys over to my side of the tracks?"
