Surprise?
Adelisa watched him in shock as he walked over at punched some guy, then came back and talked to her. Then, he did the one thing she never expected, he kissed her. The stranger thing: she kissed him back. She knew it wasn't good to kiss her best friend's ex, but she was in pain and so was he. Her eyes were closed and a tear slid down her cheek. He was right. She didn't deserve to feel the way Grant made her feel. She deserved better.

He must have felt the same way or he wouldn't have been kissing her. Then again, after her he would find someone better. It always happened. She must have been distracted because she pulled away slowly and starred at him through teary eyes. "W-we… we can't do this…" she said softly. "Amelia is my best friend… Grant is yours…"
Adelisa and Jar are just competition that's all
Adelisa looked down at her drinks and frowned. She downed the shots and the cup of vodka like a pro, her head swimming almost instantly. She looked at Hunter as he spoke, but she shook her head and said "you're not going to be a shitastic father. You're going to be great." She sighed, looked out to the crowd and said "well, Grant, even though he said all these sweet things to me yesterday, was with a preppy blonde that could suit him better."

She smirked and said "you could say he's going to make an awesome lawyer." She ordered another round of shots for her and him. "To living past the fairytale, because who knew this was beyond the ending?" she said loudly and knocked back a shot. Of course, when she poured her heart out to someone they went off and found someone better. That was what she was for, wasn't she? Atleast she didn't sleep with him last night. Then she would've felt used.

Adelisa spotted Grant and sighed. He could do anything to her and she would always come back. That's the worst part of being broken; she always went back to the source.
Adelisa jumped out of bed with a grin. She loved parties, as would anyone her age, and she loved the atmosphere. She grabbed her dark blue bikini and scarf that ties around the hip. Blue eyes filled with excitement, Adelisa ran out the door. She was so ready to have fun and forget all the drama of yesterday. Crying wasn't her favorite thing to do, especially on vacation.

She ran down to the beach and her eyes immediately went to Jareth, who was on the stage surrounded by girls. She glared daggers at him. Of course he would take up the stage. The show off. She rolled her eyes and turned to see Grant walking away from a pretty preppy blonde. Her heart sank at the sight, but he moved toward the stage and she spotted Delilah gazing at the show off on stage. She looked around again and saw Amelia all over a heavily tattooed guy. Her eyes widened and she saw Hunter by the bar.

She shrugged and walked over to Hunter. She still remembered the blonde girl with Grant and she turned to the bartender. "I need three shots of tequila, three shots of Amarillo, and two cups of vodka." She turned to Hunter and smiled solemnly. "Might as well party hard right?" She glanced at the empty glasses and laughed, adding "but it seems you've already known that."
Dela won't mind trying, but she's kinda in her own world… as always XD
Adelisa smiled at Grant and nodded. "You? Better at cooking? I'll have to see it to believe it" she said with a giggle. She then added "of course! What party starts without me?" She grinned and held his hands. She wanted to kiss him, so badly she did, but she had to wait. Patience is a virtue my ass. Adelisa instead just said "I think you should go so I can sleep. Wouldn't want to accidently sleep through the party, right?" She smiled softly, but she didn't want him to go. He has to Addie! If he doesn't, you'll end up sleeping with him and that is not a good idea right now. Damn, her conscience was right.
Adelisa looked up at him with wide eyes. Then she saw the pen in his hand and realized he only ask because he was going to write her name on her cup. She said, smiling "my name is Adelisa." She blushed and said "but if it's too long, just put Dela or Addie." She smiled sheepishly at the thought of her name not fitting on the cup. It was quite possible, with how long the name was.
Adelisa nodded slowly as the man spoke, knowing the full extent of the situation. Dracula had always been known as bad news. Rumors spread of his existence in another vampire, but until now it has all been rumors. She looked over at the warm blood and closed her eyes. She knew her place at this meeting, so she kept her mouth closed. It wasn't polite to talk out of turn, but she wondered what they already attempted. Maybe it was under their noses the whole time and they just couldn't see it? Or maybe it is a journey only a hero will take?

Adelisa drank some of the whiskey Alistair suggested. It definitely did its job, but Adelisa would not drink more. Alcohol, though she was a vampire, lowered inhibitions and made Adelisa feel uneasy. Feeling more uncomfortable in a situation she had a lack of comfort in already would have made the meeting unbearable. Her soft blue eyes landed on Alistair, wondering what he thought of all this.
Adelisa smiled at him, but frowned in confusion at the moved on part of his apology. She shook her head and said "I'm not sure what you mean. I haven't even had a date since we broke up." She looked down at her hands and said "I miss you too, but it really hurt. Feeling like I'm not good enough for someone? It tore me up." She clutched her hands into fists and she said "I almost committed suicide, but Delilah and Amelia caught me and stopped me before I could. I was in the hospital for a week and… all I thought about was you."

She looked up at him, her eyes glazed over, but a soft smile on her face. "I thought about all the fun we had. That was what has been keeping me afloat." She reached out to softly place her hand on his cheek. "In a way, you were kinda a blessing and a curse, huh?" She smiled crookedly.
