Adelisa nodded her head and reached for the sleeping pills when Jareth left. She knew he was kind to her tonight, but tomorrow it was back to their rivalry. She put the pills in a drawer and looked at Lila, saying "do you think Grant and I could ever get back to what we were?" Her eyes shined with sorrow. She missed him. She wondered if they could just get rid of their feelings toward eachother.

Maybe it if they gave another night… maybe… maybe if he came over and they didn't talk… No. That was a ridiculous idea. Those kind of relationships only end in someone catching feelings. She looked around and started wondering where her phone was, stress overcoming her.
Adelisa looked down at her phone and saw his response. A smile lit her face and she responded with I'd love too to talk to you more :) Text me whenever! Bye! She looked down at her coffee and blushed softly. Was that too weird? The 'text me whenever', was it weird? She looked up and saw Liam at the cash register. She felt her phone ring and she answered it quickly when it was a call from her mother. "Hello?"

"Adelisa! Where are you?!" Adelisa sighed and said "I'm just across the street drinking some coffee. You said after I was finished washing the windows, I could go." She heard her mother huff and say "do you think I forgot?! You ungrateful girl! Come home now!" Adelisa sighed, saying "yes mother." "DO YOU KNOW HOW HARD I WORK TO FEED YOU?! I ALWAYS SPOIL YOU ADELISA AND THIS IS YOUR PAYMENT?! MAYBE I SHOULD STOP FEEDING YOU! YOU'RE CHUBBY AS IT IS, MIGHT AS WELL MAKE IT BETTERFOR YOU!" Adelisa sighed, but looked down at her coffee and looked back at Liam with a smile.

She got up, gave Liam a small wave goodbye, and quickly made her way back to the shop. As she entered, she was bombarded with workload. She sighed and rolled her eyes.
Adelisa sighed and smiled at Lila. "I don't know anymore. I really, truly, don't. Grant's always going to be there. He's always going to be in my life. You and Jareth are together and, knowing Amelia and Hunter, they are probably back together; meaning my 'girl's only vacation'just turned into a couple's vacation with two third wheel exes. He's ALWAYS going to be around and how am I supposed to move on from him? How am I supposed to go on with my life if he's always going to show up in it?"

She shook her head and closed her eyes. "Everytime I close my eyes, he's there." She slowly opened her eyelids and looked at Jareth. "Now tell me, Mr. Psychic, how am I going to have fun on a vacation with my ex boyfriend?" She sighed. "This is why I'll never get back with an ex. Obviously, there was a reason we broke up. Otherwise we'd still be together." She bit her bottom lip again, but the blood from her last lip-bitting was still not dry. She then looked at the sleeping pills and said "where are the rest of them?"
She almost scoffed. "Yeah, to do his wife's hair and hear about how he's 'so successful'." She looked at Jareth and sighed. "I don't think I'll ever get that kind of a man to be honest. I mean, I'm only someone to be used; if that whole debacle with Hunter were anything to go by." She looked down at her hands and bit her bottom lip. "And I'm scared. I'm terrified of meeting guys. And Grant knows that. He… he made me love him so badly that I can't look at a guy without thinking 'will he be embarrassed of me too?'"

She leaned her head onto Lila's shoulder and looked at the pills on her bedside table, void of emotion. She felt numb now, as she relished the feeling. Being numb meant she could feel no sadness. She couldn't feel her heart ripping to shreds, nor her mind trying to pick up the pieces. She looked back at Jareth and said "I just let whatever it is happen. I let Hunter kiss me, I let Grant walk all over me again, I even let Delilah give you my guitar. When do I get something? When everyone is mad at me and telling me I'm horrible?" She hugged Lila to show she didn't mean to make her feel guilty, but it was the truth.
Adelisa slowly removed her face from the pillow and looked up at Lila. Then her eyes landed on Jareth and the surprised expression she gave him showed she was not used to this. Her head swam with words and she said hoarsely "I-I want to talk…" She looked at Lila and smiled softly before looking down at her hands. "I don't know where to start… but… I think I should start somewhere, right?" Her heart filled with hope as she spoke. Was she finally going to talk? Were her words finally going to help her? Or hinder her more?

Maybe, when she hears herself she will decide what is best for her. She looked up at Jareth and said "do you know why Grant and I broke up? Originally. Not the whole 'it was mutual' thing, but the real, deep down reason?" She looked at Lila and let out a sad laugh. "Quite the cliche, isn't it?" Adelisa looked down at her arm and held it with her opposite hand. "He was embarrassed of me. Whether it was my personality or my looks, he was embarrassed of everything." She looked up at Jareth and said "for gosh sakes, he tried to introduce me as his friend when he told me you were his best friend! He was so used to saying 'she's just a friend' to everyone that I was confused on what we were!"
Adelisa sipped her drink when her phone went off. She looked at the text and blushed softly. Oh, hi there. I'm sorry for my awkwardness earlier. I don't get out much, she replied. She looked around to see if he was there, but he was no where to be found. Her eyebrows furrowed and she took another sip of her drink.
Adelisa nodded when Lila and Jareth entered her line of sight. She stepped aside to let them in and moved to the bed. Her arms wrapped around one of the pillows and she sobbed into it. How could she cry more? It felt like she had been crying for ages. When she saw Grant's face as the whimper slipped from her lips, she knew what she needed to do. She knew it was all over for her and Grant. It only made it hurt worse.

She hid her face into the pillow and almost screamed. Too many emotions were swirling around for her to scream. Instead, she remained silent. Like most of the time, she was silent about how she felt. Hold it in, Addy. I know it hurts, but hold it in, her mother's words trickling into her mind, poisoning her thoughts. Her mother called her Addy when she was younger… and when Grant called her Addy she felt so happy. It was only his nickname for her after her mother died. He was only allowed to call her that. Now, that name felt like a punch in the face.

And Hunter? Why did he do that? Why did he kiss her? She had no clue it was even coming and he did the one thing she dispised: taking her control away. He took control over the situation and it made Adelisa hurt even more. He even said 'they were being assholes'. Doesn't that mean he wanted to get back at Amelia? Isn't that childish? She bit her bottom lip even more, to the point of blood, as she thought about Amelia. Amelia was her best friend -no sister- and Hunter used Dela to get to Amelia.

Adelisa hated that word: used. She felt cheap and abhored. She was always used, though. She was used by Grant and hidden like a disgusting guilty pleasure. She was used by Hunter as a whore he could use to hurt Amelia. She was used by everyone. When could she find someone who wouldn't use her? When could she find someone that would not only take care of her, but let her take care of him? Was it too much to ask for? Was any love too much to ask for?
Adelisa stopped what she was doing when she heard Jareth's words. It was foreign to her. She sat there silently for just one moment before slowly standing up and unlocking the door. The door opened just enough to poke her eye out and see everyone. Jareth was kneeling in front of the door with his hand out still. She looked at Jareth and said "I-I only w-want y-you and Lila… if she wants too." Her eyes landed on Grant and she let out a whimper.

It wasn't intentional, but she was in pain. She was back to the place she was when they broke up. He didn't mean anything mean, right? Or did he? Adelisa closed her eyes and opened the door wider for the two she said she wanted. She knew she wouldn't get one or the other. They were a package deal. Well, until they broke up that is. Then Lila was always riding solo and it was easier to talk to her.

She looked around the room and almost laughed at herself. You are a wreck aren't you, Addy. Such a hot mess she thought to herself.
Adelisa looked down to see a hand under the door. It looked like Jareth's but it didn't matter to her. He understood what she wanted- no needed- at that moment. She reached out to hold Jareth's hand, her fingers brushing his hand. She heard Amelia and she retracted her hand from Jareth's. Did she want to respond? Did she even want to see Amelia after what happened?

She shook her head and said "Amelia, please go talk to Hunter. I… I just want you two to work things out. Please." Even in her state, she still wanted Hunter and Amelia to work things out. Maybe she'll feel better if they left. Yeah, she probably would. "A-and I don't want t-to talk to Grant either" she said softly, her voice wavering. She closed her eyes. She stood up, the pills falling to the floor like marbles. "I-I…" She wanted to speak, but her throat closed. How could she be so outgoing, but when it came to her own feelings she shut down?

Adelisa slumped back down in her leaning position and she sobbed. "I don't want to talk. It's all pretty words and empty promises! I'm just the girl everyone uses!" She looked down at the pills again and bit her bottom lip. She was scared. Not only of all this, but of herself.
Adelisa heard the slamming and commotion outside. She looked at the sleeping pills laying on the floor and back at the door. She didn't know whether to just get up, open the door, and say 'I'm fine everybody' then go on with it; or just get it done now. She looked back at the door as Lila spoke and her heart clenched. She crawled on the floor and picked up a handful of the pills. Then, she crawled over to the bedroom door and leaned on the wall next to it.

She closed her eyes and said "I'm sorry." Her eyes went to the music and she groaned. She couldn't think with the music on. Adelisa got up and turned off the music. She needed silence. She needed… she needed someone. She moved back to leaning against the wall and she said "Lila… Amelia… I'm so sorry." Her heart waned and she slowly looked up to the ceiling, hoping for some sort of sign.
