And with regards to the creation of air and such, the issue isn't whether or not the armor COULD do it, it's whether or not it is, and you never said it was. Coming in after the fact and saying "oh, it was doing this during your post so your move is invalid" doesn't work unless it was specified as doing that (whether in a prior post or as a standard operating procedure in a CS), or is commonly understood to be the way things work. For instance, I don't have to write my character breathing in every post, because he's more or less human and that's what we do, but I would have to write him holding his breath in order to avoid a poison gas attack. What I couldn't do is say that he's been holding his breath for three posts if no mention of it was made in the previous two.
There's also the immense heat and burning stench of the flash forging to home in on. Even if the sword itself wouldn't give off a scent (which, frankly, would be a pretty fantastic ability) the air would be burning at that high of a temperature.
Unless the armor has ventilation, he'd suffocate before be could get any kind of attack in. Not to mention the exceedingly rancid smell he'd constantly have to be dealing with if the armor never let air out (though again, he'd be dead before he ever had to deal with it).

LeeRoy's tactic works too though.
Max's guy can see smells. So unless your cloak hides your scent as well as electromagnetic signature he can see you.
It's a free for all fight to the death... Everyone wants to kill everyone.
Or you could go with the original plan and shoot it with fire, making it detonate early.
I'm pretty sure it is. Or it can be... I just glanced over his CS this morning so I'm not completely sure.
You shouldn't have to worry too much. According to his post he shot at both you and Ozzy with one arrow, so the most logical conclusion is that it's going to hit the ground somewhere between the two of you.
That's pretty much what I figured. Though his arrows aren't solid matter, they're some kind of shadow energy, if that makes any difference.
LeeRoy! Just the guy I wanted to see.

How would that soul blast you fired at max react if struck by one (or two) of his arrows? I need to know if I have to dodge in my next post or not.
