"Bossy little twerp, ain't he?"

"He does seem to enjoy giving orders, Sir."

"You really don't know how to take a joke, do you Ellie?"

"Humor was not a function of..."

"Rhetorical question, Ellie, rhetorical question. Where is he now?"

"He is entering through the breach created by the collision and heading directly toward us, Sir."

"Oh good, I was hoping we'd have to sit here and wait while he went all the way to the bridge and back first."

Fortunately, that was not the case, and the golden automaton entered the hold only moments later. Six still sat in his cockpit, only his head visible above the level of the cockpit's walls, and Ellie was obviously nowhere to be seen. Pushing himself out of the cockpit, he dropped to the ground and headed toward the newcomer, his right hand hovering idly close to his pistol grip. Just in case.

"Welcome, mister Midas. I apologize for the ruse that led you here, but unfortunately there is no crew left to kill. I just needed to get your attention. I'm putting together a team to hunt down and kill Gortex, and you made the list. You'll be expected to follow orders when you're on the clock, but your own time belongs solely to you, as long as you don't cause trouble to the rest of the team. You in or out?"

He figured being direct was the best approach with a robot. None of that muddly human stuff like beating bushes and dancing around things. An automaton would probably appreciate the value of straightforwardness.
Probably head to Red-6 right away.
Just so you know, Rocket, the freighter is deserted apart from Six and his fighter in the hold. And just to make things interesting, lets say the hold is reinforced against scanning. ;)
Ah, true. Though in regards to your current post, I'm not sure how stepping forward with your right foot would turn your hips clockwise. The natural tendency when doing that would be to turn them counter-clockwise, especially if you're stepping across your left foot.
How much stronger/more agile does Zai's suit make him?

Edit: And just to be snarky, Adrian's weakness is electricity. ;)
I'm good with it either way.
@Max: Vordak can post cut the roots, as they're a new action initiated in your latest post. If he can attack before they reach him, it doesn't speed up your last post, it cuts it off. If they were intended to be used when he was getting feeling back, they still won't be used until then.

@Vordak: You very specifically stated that this second swing was more powerful than the first. That means it's more powerful.
Yes, post cutting is normal, but you can't cut the same action twice. If the first time fails, that's all you get. Either take the hit or get out of the way.

You should also keep in mind that Max's character is himself superhuman. Those thrown weapons aren't going to be moving at normal human speeds. Depending on how strong and fast he is exactly, they could easily be moving as fast as some bullets, which would give Rauchnaut considerably less time to make his moves than if he were fighting even an Olympic level human.

Edit: Regarding my first statement, that's in the case of similar level opponents. If one character is tremendously faster (on the scale of Mach 1 vs peak human) then they could obviously get more than one attack in between their opponent's strikes. Though even then, taking a whole post for every attack isn't the way to go. A post it should be entirely self-contained, regardless of how many attacks are in it.

And in regards to you altering Rauchnauts attack, yes, a change that drastic needs to at least be hinted at beforehand, otherwise you can simply say he was planning for anything your opponent comes up with as justification to pull any move you want, regardless of whether or not it was originally intended.
I'm going to have to agree. He initiated the net in his previous post, and didn't activate it until this one, and it doesn't actually require a charge post or activation time. The net is going to hit you before you can do anything to him. If it doesn't, you're essentially saying that your character is so fast that he can complete two entire attacks in-between the time that it takes your opponent's ability to activate and then engage, when that ability is at least as fast as any single attack Rauchnaut could make.

It would be like me firing a bullet at someone 10 feet away, then them firing two back at me after it leaves the barrel but before it hits them. Even if they're twice as fast as me, it won't matter. At most, they'll get lucky and get one chance to shoot back, but that's it.
"Sir, there is a vessel requesting to trade with Frisky Business. How shall I respond?"

"Does it match the data we have on Midas?"

"Not conclusively. It is a forty-seven percent match against the data recovered from the other vessels."

"Good enough for me. Tell him no."

"Very well, Sir."

There was a moment of silence as Ellie composed an equally automated-sounding reply to the request, then sent it to the other vessel, playing it through Six's speakers as well to keep him in the loop.

::"Automated Trading Vessel --------------, this is the Frisky Business. This vessel is currently unavailable for trade, but If you wish to conduct business with Gortex Industries, we recommend you consult one of their galactic trade stations or local trading partners. Have a nice day."::

Automated systems could be so bad at following directions sometimes... SIx leaned back in his chair again and watched his fighter's readouts, which thanks to Ellie had been wired into the systems of the freighter.

"Let him chew on that for a bit. See how he handles getting turned down."
