I'm also assuming that Kiril is on Red-6. If not, my post will need some editing.
His eyes narrowed imperceptibly when she started making demands, but he corrected the slip before it could graduate into anything noticeable. Keeping her free time her own was not anywhere close to imposing on his, or his work time, for that matter, but he'd checked almost everyone else off his list. It wouldn't hurt anything to let her join in on grabbing the last member of their little team. "Alright. You won't need your ship where we're going. Hessta, you can come too if you want, though that tail might make the taxi a little cramped." Then he sighed and turned back to the entrance, not entirely sure what it was he'd just signed these people up for but completely sure that it had to be done. He knew from experience that no single being could take down Gortex.
Ok, I wasn't sure if you were still interested, but now that I know for sure Kiril will be my next stop.
Is there anyone else I need to recruit besides grimroure? If so, now's the time to speak up.
Well at least he's making an effort. That's a start. He switched his focus back to Laika though and addressed her first. "My employer, a man by the name of Dax Strattix, is very well-connected, and a woman like you leaves ripples. If you've got enough resources, it's not that hard to track them back to their source." He didn't think that withholding information at this point, even something as simple as his employer's name, would be the kind of thing that would get her to sign on. He wasn't gonna lie, he needed this team. Every one of these people had something that would help him defeat Gortex, something he hadn't had in their last encounter. He almost reached up to touch the scar that halfway encircled his left eye, but managed to quash the impulse before it manifested. Gorram frakker.

"As for how you can trust me, you can't. You've known me for thirty seconds. I wouldn't trust me either under those circumstances. What I would do, though, is trust that I'm not dead yet, which means that this strange half-blind human standing in front of me must have a reason to keep me alive. I may not trust that it's the reason he says it is, but if his offer is genuine, then it's a hell of a lot better than sitting in this junk heap letting my anger eat me up inside." It was fairly obvious he'd had an experience or two with anger in his admittedly short lifetime, and his single functioning eye never left Laika as he waited for her response. Could it be unsettling having a one-eyed warrior stare you down? Yeah, but he was a soldier, not a psychiatrist. He didn't have time to waste with indecision.
"Agent Six. I hear you've got a grudge." His eyes shifted from Laika to Hessta then back again, and he was really wishing the snake-man wouldn't be so jumpy. "I'm here to offer you a chance to do something about it. This fine gentleman..." He gestured to Hessta. "...along with myself and several others, are going to put an end to Gortex and his rule of terror. I don't know why you hate him, and to be honest I don't really care, but I can use that hatred if you'll let me." He walked closer as he spoke while still keeping Hessta in his peripherals, just in case. "As far as fine print, I'll expect you to follow orders when we're in the field, but your free time is your own. Just don't cause problems with the others..." A pointed glance at Hessta. "...and we'll get along just fine."
Scratch the bit about thermal and EM, I just reread the bio and Alex doesn't seem to have either. Just normal visible spectrum vision. Which only further reinforces the point that he wasn't shooting through trees (as he wouldn't retain the ability to aim so specifically).
He wouldn't have to. It was never specified that Alex was shooting through anything so the most logical course of action takes precedence (and throwing it in now after it's been brought up in the OOC would be PGing), and the fact that he could target the left shoulder specifically implies that he could see Arty when he opened fire, since the sheer amount of electrical power and heat being emanated from the sword would dwarf anything from Arty himself right now and screw up scanners. Thermal would only pick up the heat from the sword (since it's so much hotter than Arty's body), and EM would only pick up the sword as well (for the same reason).
I did mention his sword cutting through stuff as he walked, and there's nothing beneath the big main tree for it to cut (apart from the tree itself).

Though why would walking between trees be an obstacle anyway? He can still sense Alexander even when he can't see him, so line of sight isn't an issue.
Ok, slight issue.

Schradinger said He kept moving himself, keeping the other man on the opposite side of the invisible circle they were walking with the bush where he'd been hiding in the middle.

This means the turret is between them, not behind Arty. I was very specific about where that bush was located in relation to the two of them.
