The hounds will only be as useful as you make them, even if they remain entirely physical combatants. In this particular case, it was likely the lack of detail regarding their attacks that lead to the perception of them being low-grade mooks. In the absence of specific detail, I had to run with the information I did have and create the detail myself, though keep in mind that none of my attacks have been successful yet.

As an attack, having three extra (if weaker) characters to work with can be extremely versatile and powerful if used correctly, just like any other character's abilities. At any rate, I look forward to seeing how those three evolve with time and practice.
Finally. He'd been waiting for her to make a move since she first started following him. She must have been heavier than normal, making that much noise with every footfall, but increased weight was hardly surprising considering the sheer size of her. Arthur was by no measure a small man, but she stood head and shoulders above even him. When she came abreast of him and uttered her surprising attempt at small talk, he caught sight of the bar of metal she held and assumed it to mean she was a fighter of the melee variety. Her size and the impulses of technology he could sense within her body seemed to indicate excessive strength as well, but what the limits of that were exactly remained to be seen. She wore a suit of armor that looked both heavy and durable, but he doubted it would be anything he could not overcome.

"Let me guess, you're here to prove your worth against the Arena's first promising fighter." He said, ignoring her attempt at small talk. He had always disliked that. It wasted both time and energy, and accomplished nothing as a result. He quite honestly would have preferred an outright attack to striking up a pointless conversation. Though one thing he liked even less than small talk was charging in blindly, so he held back, waiting for her to make the first aggressive move.
Alright, I'll operate under the assumption that Krix can lift 10 tonnes.

About the wolf summon, if it's not going to be a one-time strategic thing, I feel like there should be something more involved in their summoning than "They appear!", since that basically just means that your opponent ends up fighting four champions (even if three are less powerful) at a time instead of one, the weaker three of which can be instantly healed and return to battle after death every X amount of posts.

To me, an attack that increases the number of opponents should be a one-time option whose use needs to be decided tactically, rather than spammed at every opportunity (because if you CAN do it every X posts, why wouldn't you?). An exception to this would obviously be a specialized summoner, who's weaker in personal power than their opponents but makes up for it by summoning creatures stronger than themselves. Summoning wolves, however, makes a lot of sense for your character so I would hate to see the ability removed altogether.
A fraction of a second was more time than he needed, setting his right foot back as one of the wolves circled around to that side and charged toward him, using the motion as the catalyst for the creation and expulsion of several dozen earthen spikes. They would be fired from the ground at breakneck speed in a shotgun pattern aimed in the direction of the oncoming wolf while it was in the mid-point of its leap, making avoidance of the lethal projectiles a tricky prospect at best. Simultaneous to this, his left arm extended toward the wolf to that side and the chain wrapped around it shot forward with nearly the same speed as the stone projectiles, aiming to ensnare the creature. By this time, the third wolf was almost upon him, claws and fangs outstretched in preparation for its impending attack, and Krix dropped to his right knee, using the momentum to help drive his right fist down toward the top of the creature's head with enough force to crush it between the unyielding chain encircling his fingers and the stone below.

Again as I always preach. A defined tier limit and clearly defined min/max sets diffuse many of these issues. Simply saying "be fair" is not enough which is why settings without limits tend to not work.

I agree completely. As it is, Sovereign and N'athr are at least tier 6 by LeeRoy's standards, while all the others are tier 4 or lower.
Well, Krix can't lift two tons. He can lift a little over one ton.

In all honesty, I'd rather amp the existing heroes to true demigod levels and say he can lift 10 tons (putting him back in play as a physical powerhouse but still weaker than N'athr and Sovereign) than nerf Sovereign and N'athr. Of course, the other original heroes would need to be amped as well, and Light might have something different to say if he ever comes back, but it would make the battles feel more like it's two demigods fighting.
I've been working on a post sporadically through out the week, but work and life keep interrupting. I should be able to finish it tomorrow though.
Two tons? And he's still fast enough to blur to a human eye? Even Skall's character, who's ten feet tall, strong enough to lift 100 tons, and durable enough to shrug off bullets, weighs a little over 1 ton. That's... A pretty huge detail to leave out, and I'm pretty sure it just made sovereign even more powerful than Skall's proposed character. He may not be as strong (which is debateable since it isnt specified and he can get stronger), but he can also summon three phantom wolves that are each more physically powerful than any single champion besides Skall's (and he hasn't even been approved), and he can re-summon them every three posts. Even just one of the phantom wolves would be a match for Herriman or Mifune or Krix.

In short, he just became a lot more powerful than (we thought) he was when he got approved, and unless Krix gets a fairly significant boost to his own abilities, I'm not sure he can do anything beyond slow him down. I intended Krix to be a fighter that uses a combination of physical strength and powers, but the way things are going I might as well throw away his weapons and just amp his earth and fire manipulation. All Sovereign has to do to win is sit on him. F*cking escalation. >_<

P.S. I'm not upset at you, Asta. It's just frustrating when you get into a fight and then find out OOC that you're in a completely different battle than you thought you were, and half the purpose of your character becomes instantly moot. *sigh* We need to figure out how to keep the original characters competitive if they're going to be facing two ton werewolves with hulk syndrome (and friends) and bulletproof giants that can bench a tank one-handed, because at this point, we're way beyond the original character's power level.

I mean, originally I wasn't going to submit a character like Arty because he'd be capable of killing all of the original champions in a single fight, but now he'd be right at home with ASTA and Skall's characters.
As long as the posts have enough detail that the actions are understandable, word count isn't really an issue.

As for the character, I think we'd have to see it before we could make a judgement. In an arena setting, balance is paramount, so if it's well-balanced for the level of the champions already here (and conforming to the site rules), pretty much any physiology would be allowed.
@Asta: you can probably go whichever way you choose with the phantom wolves, NPC or directly controlled, though I am wondering whether they're in the form of actual wolves or bipedal like Sovereign.
