Hello,

Maybe you'll like this one
Few questions I think everyone will benefit from knowing publicly.

Has martial law been declared? What's the governments presence like throughout the country and in Philly? Will we encounter US military? Or has the entire government and subsequently the US military disbanded and everyones fending for themselves?

Has the whole world gone to shit or is this an isolated United States incident?

Lastly, can I make two factions? I wanted to create a sort of political organization that is pretty large, with tens of thousands of members scattered throughout the country. But it's essentially NPC's. While the faction that I would be playing as, would be allied muscle of this organization, comprised of 20-50 members give or take in the Philadelphia area.
That sounds cool. Maybe people wear them because they think it will protect them from the sickness? Sort of like the sars masks. It would also help identify the classes. With the richer castes wearing very elaborate ones and the poorer people scraping by whatever junk they can.
I really like minimal writing programs and I don't like to write in the tiny posts boxes. The best for me are ones that remove all the clutter and just leave you with a fullscreen of your words. So I am going to share these with the guild because I'm sure a lot of people don't know about their existence. If you prefer some other program with more organizational features for novelists and such, feel free to share them here.

PyRoom
Linux only
I like PyRoom. It lacks some features but it is what it is, a barebones writing environment.

FocusWriter
Linux, Windows, OSX
FocusWriter is my absolute favorite. It features a robust theme customization. For example have a look at some themes this person developed. There is also a really neat feature with focus writer that relays typewriter sounds as you press down keys and press enter to make a new line. Also there is goal settings. So you can measure your performance. You can set a word limit that you want to hit, or just a time limit that you want to stay focused writing for.

WriteMonkey
Windows
WriteMonkey is for windows only. And If I used windows I would use WriteMonkey. It is feature rich with a large thesaurus, customizable themes, customizable typing sounds and progress tracking. There are also many community created plugins!

Well that's all for now, there are many others. I just wanted to introduce a few. I hppe you give them a try and see how they really help with your writing. Again if you prefer a more feature-rich novelist program with chapter, plot, character organization-features share your experiences and recommendations!
The cultural marxism is strong in this thread.
The site suffered a catastrophic data loss apparently. All accounts were lost. Welcome back to the guild.

Hisssssssssss!

I like you.
This is a great non-fiction story about an economic collapse in Argentina and what a man had to do to survive it, his personal experiences. I hope we can keep it realistic like that, and less fallout-ish. If this is the case then I'd be interested to join.

Cheers
Yes please let's get that OOC open. I'm eager to flesh my character out.
