After bowing, Orion stayed perfectly still, holding the dart end of the rope dart hard out of instinct, as he would with a normal rope dart to draw his own blood and add another of the many scars left on his hand as a scare tactic, something he did every real fight whether the opponent would be put off by blood going in their eyes or not. He stood still, waiting for Aerienna to make a move. "I'm curious to see if you're not just a pretty face," Orion chuckled, figuring even if Aerienna ignores the obvious riling with a hint of compliment, her friends at the sidelines would probably get somewhat effected. He was quite impressed with this group overall, especially Aerienna, the youngest of them all yet either her or Peter seemed to be leading the group and they were the two strongest.
Cool, me and RomanAria were kinda accidentally making it pretty much a 1x1, I'll get Orion to head back after the spar to check in with his guards, I can't say anything for certain about Aerianna and crew.
"Well even if he somehow manages to find out you're here, and the fact he hasn't yet which is a good sign, least you've got a dragon on your side who would have no qualms about getting rid of him if it meant keeping a friend safe," James grinned, then stopped himself. "We're friends, right?" he asked, not wanting to assume that anyone would consider a danger like him a friend unless they confirmed it themselves.
Artemis already in the English classroom closed her notebook after checking she had everything she'd have to say a lot. Seems good. She leaned back slightly looking around the classroom. It wasn't really like she could get someone's attention by saying 'Hi' if they weren't looking, so Artemis sighed and just looked around silently. "Phew I made it," Jason said to everyone in the classroom as he walked in. Despite getting to school early he somehow managed not to make it to the classroom until now.

Idiot Artemis thought and shook her head. Jason sensed a variety of emotions and personalities in the room. He tried to send out an overall wave of happiness as he took a seat. Sending stuff to many people at once was normally a lot less effective than a focused beam, but he figured it should at least give someone the chirpiness to want to talk to him, the stupid seeming kid with rainbow hair. Artemis, meanwhile, decided to put her head on the desk, but not after opening her notebook to where it said 'I'm mute but not deaf, I talk by writing on this notebook but can hear fine, if you wanna talk just get my attention'.

A teacher with greying hair and wrinkled skin, obvious signs of age, walked into the classroom. "My name is Mr. Pike, and I will be teaching English for you today," the teacher said in a monotonous voice, missing the wave of slight happiness, going straight into the English class like he expected students who were going to have superpower training later in the day to pay attention. Artemis didn't even bother moving her head from the table, and Jason yawned, hoping someone would talk to him.
Sorry I was busy today, I'll catch up tomorrow, sorry guys.
Eden City High. Once just a completely ordinary school like any other. Until the incident. An unknown virus spread through the school, all of the students were knocked unconscious at exactly 2:37PM. They all awoke at exactly 2:37PM two weeks later in an isolated hospital.

While they were unconscious it was discovered that some of them were gifted with unique abilities beyond the bounds of ordinary human possibility. Superpowers. The school was remodeled to facilitate less students and with state-of-the-art facilities for both ordinary lessons and an underground floor for power development and combat technique. Many of the students, of course, were not gifted so, and they all got full scholarships to a prestigious private high school, most likely with some subtle payments to the owner of that school involved. It was predicted many students would try to become vigilantes, so to lessen the negative publicity of this they left masks on all the hospital beds matching functionality with their abilities and style matching their personality file. as they slept to keep their identities hidden in any nighttime activities, waiting for them to wake up.

Once all the students woke up they were briefed on the situation, much to the shock of many students, and a notice to them all that they should make aliases based on their abilities so that the government doesn't need a registration act to communicate about them legally, and that adults with similar abilities have been replaced as their teachers in one class. The students were given a week off of school to adapt to their new abilities, but now that week is over. School has begun.

"Bye Jason," Riley Steel said to his son Jason as he walked into school to his office. Jason laughed and shook his head at his cold father who he only found out in the last week had superpowers like him. And mom knew this whole time! How unfair... Jason shrugged and walked into the school, ridiculously early since his dad had to get in early to prepare and he was Jason's only ride. Jason walked around a bit, dropping his bag at the main classroom, which teachers would leave and go into for Maths and English, where all the students start their day. According to the government guy who introduced himself at the briefing as the principal, an old bastard with no powers Jason knew of. Jason saw a green-haired girl and considered going to talk to her, but the swirling pit of anger fear and grief made Jason decide to stay near the locker area. He went into his bag and smiled looking at his mask, a big reflective piece of glass that went around his face.

That "green haired girl", Artemis, was busy writing in her notepad things people would ask a lot to save constantly having to write them. 'Hi', 'The notepad's because I'm a mute', 'I'd rather not talk about what made me mute', etc. Mostly responding to the annoying questions people ask about her not talking. She'd only been at Eden City High a few days before incident and noone who really spoke to her much wasn't gifted. Agh. Meeting people is a pain.
"What happened? You don't have to talk about it if you don't want to though," James said in a quieter tone than normal, seeing hints of an emotion he was all too used to. Fear of people viewing you as different and being shunned. James couldn't tell why, but that was the instinct he picked up.
"Danger, like when you get angry you can accidentally burn down buildings and kill everyone inside danger?" James asked, naturally trusting Wyvern to be talking about something serious and trying to show that he could relate to her, not pressing that she needed to explain but just trying to show he could understand.
"Don't believe you, so tell me the truth," James said cheerfully and sat next to her. "What's up?" he asked, looking at her with raised eyebrows, wondering what the problem could be. James himself wasn't too used to concealed emotions given his own behavior so he wasn't sure if this is how you were supposed to deal with it or if you should leave them alone, but was curious and wanted to know what was wrong so he could help.
"That's the point, they get around conventional weapons and anything good against them they probably won't have on hand and if they do won't be proficient at it. I don't like going with my opponents' wishes. As for you never giving up, I'm not fighting to win I'm just going to enjoy the spar, so if you start tiring me with endless banter about never giving up I'll just forfeit," Orion said with hint of pride, letting his rope dart drop from his hand, swinging close to the ground. He was somewhat impressed by her ability to keep fighting, Orion on the other hand made a point of avoiding situations where he has to act desperately, bad for his reputation and image, better off to leave with dignity than probably die fighting covered in blood and looking like a fool.
