Dae suddenly shouted, imitating the voice of a Blade they once encountered: "You there! State your purpose and hands behind yer head, otherwise we will be forced to use . . . force!"
Lily shook behind Pip, who kept his ad hoc sword up. Bob was glowing brightly and the heat from the light coming from inside the little machine was palpable from a short distance.
Dae spoke again, this time using Ice's voice. "Don't worry, so am I . . . I mean, the girl here. Her names Lily, and she's shy too. When a lot of people gather up like this, she usually clams up and I - as in the bird - have to speak for her."
Then Melanie crash landed and suddenly Lily was crouching on the ground behind Pip, who drew a big scrap sword, and clutching Bob, who was glowing in a not-so-healthy-for-your-skin way.
With Cerys off him, Pip the Big Teddy Bear scooted out of the foxhole. He took his place behind Lily and lifted her on his shoulder. She patted Bob and smiled sheepishly at Ice and Philip.
Dae flew and landed on Pips other shoulder, and opening his mouth, he greeted Philip in Ice's voice: "Hello!" before turning to Ice and using Philips' voice" "Hello!"

Lily nodded to Cerys. "I think we can get out of here now. They're not dangerous," she said, slowly crawling out. She picked up Bob and Dae on the way. Pip remained behind as Cerys was still lying down on top of him.
Mithrail lost he balance due to his blow and ended up tripping on the magic field. Her head smacked onto it and she fell to the ground. Annoyed at her fall, the Celestial flipped back up, ready to punch it out with Sol again.
Mithrai kicked herself forward with noticeably reduced speed. She stopped in front of Sol to engage in another fist fight with him, throwing more and more punches. They were slower than they were earlier though.
Yeah, me too . . .
Lily's eyes widened a bit. "Dae says the girl is an Outsider for sure. Ice, he think. He can't be too sure. Oliver's fine; they haven't sen him yet."
