Something snapped. That would be Mithrail's temper. The girl rounded towards Tyler and Meruin, glaring incredibly. "What. Was. That?" As a sign of her anger, the wind spirits that she didn't even bother to use in her fight against Sol began moving about, agitated. It was vreating small tornadoes that erratically flew around her.
Lily giggled at their antics, while following them from the back. Dae, in the meantime flew ahead of her. "Scouting," he had said. "Besta know what'r gonna get, yeah?" The small girl patted Bob nervously. They were heading somewhere potentially dangerous, and they were being a bit carefree about it.
Lily giggled. "It's a pet name I give for these guys, since they're younger than I am. Is it weird?" The look the bear was giving Oliver promised bad things if he said no, which was pretty impressive given that it doesn't have a very expressive face.
Lily smiled blithely. "He's a very one of a kind bear, that child. His name's Pip, by the way; my name is Lily. It' nice to meet you," she said. Lily hopped up and rode on the shoulder of Pip, who was carrying the shield in front of her. She looked satisfied.
Pip turned towards Cery's and nodded. Lily smiled. "He likes you too." Pip was designed to protect little girls from nightmares after all. That's what it said on his packaging. Lily made an 'o' with her mouth, as if realizing something. "Don't you think we need a shield, Pip?" she said, looking at the group. Something to cover her and someone else while they retreated would be good if she needed to run away. The bear nodded and silently plodded towards the nearest abandoned car. Wreeeaack~! The sound of metal grinding could be heard as the bear casually tore apart a car and bent its scraps into the shape of a wide shield.
Lily tilted her head and pointed at Cery's. The girl didn't look much older than her, after all. Anyway . . . "I have help. It'll be fine," she said, patting Bob the Toaster, Pip the Bear and Dae the Stuffed bird. All of which looked completely threatening . . . sort of. Maybe. Well, as threatening as stuffed toys and toaster could get anyway.
Lily frowned. That was a bit reckless. She consulted with Pip and Dae, but in their heads only. They came to a quick conclusion: Come with them, but watch only. Don't show yourself or fight if unnecessary. Lily faced Oliver, and gave a response she was used to using a hundred times over. "Just a little girl, but you can call me Lily. I'll be coming with you," she added.
Lily considered her answer for a moment. So he was a good person, at the very least, however, despite not being older than twelve (not to mention not being fully literate), being alone for four years taught her that being good sometime wasn't enough. "How are you going to help them?" In the meantime, she saw that she was blocking the way out. She stepped out of the way to give them room to exit.
"Where are you going?" asked Lily. She thought it would be a fairly good way to judge them. Whether they were reckless or selfless or cowards, that depended on his answer to her question. She would decide what to do afterwards.
Tucker sighed. All these new city things were just confusing him. It was a surprise he didn't get culture shock! Still, at least he was doing his ma and pa proud, being in such an exclusive school like this. He turned his attention to the fight currently going on. It looked like that was a regular thing here. Well, he wasn't surprised; the whole school was about magic with weapons after all.
