My badass cat literally just pimp slapped a red wasp out of the air and quickly ate it up in two crunchy bites. He didn’t even flinch or blink.

I will give time for one more player to pop up. Another day or so. Expect the CS template shortly.
I'd love to be part of something like this. Big fan of Poe and gothic roleplays.

Glad to have you onboard.
The character sheet template will be provided either today or tomorrow.

Welcome, and thank you for your time.

As the title states, this is a roleplay adaption of Edgar Allan Poe’s Masque of The Red Death. One of my favorite short stories of his. The story is about a dreadful plague that sweeps across the realms, striking scores upon scores dead. Uncaring for the common folk and wanting only for he and his consorts to survive the plague, the flamboyant aristocrat Lord Prospero invites all the noble folk to take refuge in his estate. (Some versions call it an abbey. We will simply refer to it as a castle estate.)

The estate is massive, and Prospero, his guardsmen, servants, and one thousand noble folk all hide away within the walls to avoid the plague. One night, Prospero hosts a masquerade ball to better morale and make people forget about the wrath of the plague. All is well and good until a mysterious guest with a bloody visage of death arrives. Bringing the plague itself...

So then, this RP will require two-to-three others aside from myself. My partners will create their own noble character attending the ball and hiding from the plague within the walls of Prosperos’ estate. Unlike the actual story itself, this adaption of mine will follow the events of the entire night, after Prosperos’ demise as the plague begins to ravage the entire castle.

Here is a Wikipedia link on the story;en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Masque_of…

And a link to the original story written by Poe;poemuseum.org/the-masque-of-the-red-d…

If interested, please post/comment below. This idea is open for discussion and I am open to suggestions, ideas, and to hear out concerns and questions.
I hope to catch some interest!
As they say, “tagged”.
Interest caught.

Hello, Scrivener welcomes you!

So who doesn’t love a good old fashioned fantasy tale? Dragons and knights and wizards and such. I know I do. This is a concept about a mighty dragon that has been terrorizing the countryside for some time now. It burns the fields, torments the villagers, and steals away the farmers’ livestock. The Earl of Tir Asleen has sent many brave knights to confront this great beast, but none have returned. No one dares venture after the dragon high in the mountains to the north. Many fear this dragon will be the end of them all, and that nothing will stop it.

You are a wanderer, a drifter, the cliché hero that will save the day and the land. Are you a grand knight yourself? A wandering mage? A dwarven berserker with a fancy for ale? That is your choice.

In this RP, my partner and I will role as a pair, the dynamic duo off to slay the beast. In the darkest of days, the greatest of men and women must step up and serve the helpless.
I will divulge more as far as storyline, characters, and lore go via private message, so please worry not if this plot base looks a little too skeletal. There will be more to this than a quick hit-and-run dragon slaying. There will be side plots and character development and the whole lot.

So surely you get the gist. If this interests you, please message me ASAP and we can begin discussion. If this doesn’t tickle your fancy, thanks for reading anyway and have a good day . I hope to hear from someone!
Greetings, I am Scrivener.

Though new to this site, I have been role playing for a good seven years now. My diversity in interests is quite wide, ranging from dark fantasy to historical fiction to anime, both dark and casual. I typically tend to write casually and in advanced depth as well. And I’m not at all opposed to free writing or low casual, though they aren’t my favorites. I am more so into grit, tragedy, and “means to an end” stories and RP’s, but I’m not against some happy go-luckiness here and there either.

Outside of RP’ing, I am an avid lover of history, art, architecture, foreign cultures, and music. I am a very diverse individual and very open minded. I am also fascinated by linguistics, and I am decently versed in Spanish, French, Arabic, Japanese, Latin, and Armenian.

Before I begin rambling about myself, back to the point in hand; I’m glad to be here and hope to enjoy my experience on this site. Urakhats’ an and happy day to everyone!
